Philip Island Go Kart

Delayed by 40mins for the stating time; being bumped by others and off the track; I’m the last one to have the engine started however my total play time is only 8 minutes for the 10mins session. Not a good experience.

Great set up and track experience! Worth doing 2-3 sessions to get the feel for the track and how the kart handles. Very enjoyable!

Fun track. Not many karting tracks significant elevation changes, and this track is a miniature scaled down version of the GP track.

Don't be put off by the slower (than other venues) karts. The circuit is amazing and a must do for visitors to the island and kadting enthusiasts alike!
The track is a miniature replica of the Phillip Island circuit which hosts the Australian Moto GP and is fun, technical and enjoyable for the casual and more competitive racer.
Results are displayed and emailed immediately after the session.

THIS IS SO MUCH FUN. I always do this when I go to Phillip Island. The karts themselves are well maintained, easy to drive, and plenty fast. My son-in-law and I have a friendly rivalry and try to outdo each other’s lap times. He’s usually faster by about 8/10 of a second but I keep him honest. The track is a scale replica of the GP track, including elevations, and is quite challenging. Safety is paramount, and any stupid behaviour will see you black flagged, which is as it should be. The karts have a four point harness and you are provided with a full face helmet.
It can get busy, so phone ahead and book, to avoid waiting. You must be over 12 to drive a solo kart, but they have tandem karts so an adult can take the kids around the track. Each session is 10 minutes but you can have double sessions. 10 minutes doesn’t sound very long but you’d be surprised.
The visitor’s centre also has slot cars and race simulators, and runs track tours, but I’m not sure what COVID has done to them.
100% recommend this activity when you visit the Island.

Was not allowed on due to having short sleeves. Although 2 other people in next group both had singlets on. Very disappointed

This is definitely the premiere go kart track in Victoria if not the country.from the moment you arrive you are greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who make the check in process simple.the crew at the track are total professionals and make everyone feel like a VIP.the karts are fast and the scale replica track is a blast to drive.

I loved it, great way to practice driving before you go for L's and fun for all, whether you be the driver or the rider. I'd highly recommend going. (Peacocks are not friendly, brothers car got scratched like hell.)

Best hire karts I've ever driven. Genuinely able to be on the absolute edge or traction with a bit of sliding around turn 2. The track is top notch. Great replica of the real track including elevation. Only gripe is they have so many on track at once it's hard to get any uninterrupted laps. I managed about 3 laps per 10min session without having to slow for an incident. I thought I was fast with a 48.3 but best lap is something like 45 or 46s. Great fun and as close as you'll get to a decently fast go kart experience without buying a proper kart and membership to a club.

You just have have to take 2x Go Karting rounds or you won't be satisfied. It was super fun. This was the best track I've Go Karted on so far.
