Philip Island Go Kart

Was disappointed at the inconvenient timing when a Marshall decided to repair the track during a heat, causing constant yellow flags whilst driving. This could've easily been repaired post heat!

Today, 6th of Nov 2023 at 11: 15am my session was at here. I am sorry but my experience was not good. The young lady at Go Kart reception was i don't here name but from the date and time management can recognise her because she was the only female working at that time wearing trady clothes. Actually, i felt racism from her, she was dealing with Aussies normally but when any Asian including myself she was not giving proper information with zero eye contact. She asked 3 of us 2 asians and me to go inside and choose helmet whatever suits your head and when we were wearing helmet a guy came and informed that they will need to tell us what to wear so it will fit on our head. After that, our session starts 30min late and when i asked the girl she first ignored me and then said when ur turn came i will let u know. However, there was a another guy in black shirt, he came with apology and said we had small accident etc. This is called professional but that girl was like seeking attention from boys and rude with foreigners.
I am giving 2 stars only because of that guy who apologise else i will givr Zero.

Irreplaceable experience to replicate the motoGP track, a lot of fun and exhilarating! I'd recommend 2 sessions because I definitely got better the second time!

Amazing, I would recommend Phillip Island Go Karts to anyone looking for a good time. Ash helped us out with everything we needed and gave us an insight into the track and was just overall a great guy. Had an amazing time. Ash #1 Employee

Heaps of fun trying to get best lap times. Highly recommend. Fastest track in Victoria in terms of reaching top speed.

First time go karting, it was pretty fun & the staff kept it safe as best as they could.

Single sitter go-cart for adults and children above 14. Tandom (double sitter) for adult + child under 14. Good experience of outdoor go-carting. I felt the go-carts were underpowered (well, at other venues also I felt so). Max speed is 65 kmph. Maybe it's because of safety restriction!

The go karting is unbelievably fun, no problem there!

Phillip island go karts booking system is beyond horrible. We were told that we would have to wait 3 hours to get on around mid-day (we rocked up at 9: 15am).

The staff couldn't give us a specific time and said we had to wait in the foyer to reserve our spot. No one with kids is going to be able to do that (we luckily didn't have any in our party). We decided not to anyway.

Come on guys, it's time to bring your service into the 21st century. You owe it to your customers.

Really deceiving with thier booking system. Was told on the phone just to come in and we could make a booking. We were told they were booked out after driving a 1.5 hour drive. We are from SA and do not recomend this. You guys need to get your booking system sorted and I am sure tou don't need 8 staff wondering around doing not much at all. Good way to pass people off. As a member of tourism SA will not be recommending this.

What a ridiculous system they employ here! I called up a week before we went to see if I should make a booking beforehand. I was told by one of the staff that they were not taking booking and I just needed to turn up on the day. I then said we'll probably come mid afternoon and she said that was good because it's not quite as busy then. I arrived with my 3 kids at 3.30pm only to be told that they were fully booked for the day and had been since late morning. So people arrive and put their names down, and I asssume that some even leave to come back at their designated time. So why can one not simply book over the phone then? We drove all the way there to be turned away. And they assign some young kid to stand at the front desk and deliver the bad news to everyone that arrives. So I left with 3 very dissapointed kids who were hoping to do go karting on their last day of holiday. And to further prove what a pathetic organisation this is, I sent through an email via their website to vent my frustration and dissapointment and received a message straight back to say someone will contact me withing 48 hours. Do you think that I've heard from anyone yet? Don't waste your holiday dollars on this place. There are a lot of other very cool activites on Phillip Island to do with the kids.

Terrible system. We were told we couldn't book and that we should be able to walk in with no problems, this was not the case.
The 3.5 hour drive was met with a clueless kid at the desk saying it was booked out and to return the next morning before they open to try and save a time slot later that day, even then, there would only be 4 karts in operation after being told our group of 10 could just "walk in".
Terrible, I'd wait till they figure out how to run a business.

It's an awful system. We were there for booking yesterday (Sunday) but they didn't get any booking and they said we have come today (Monday) at 10am and we came 9: 45am and we are still waiting 2hrs to get. It's ridiculous. Wasting time a lot for waiting. More than 2hrs for 10mins riding and pay $60. Not worth

Awful organisational - do not go expecting to get a spot go carting.

Called them a week before to be told they were no longer taking bookings and you just have to arrive and wait to drive. I asked if we should come early in the day we wanted to race and we could leave and come back for our spot but they said you had to arrive and wait and drive on the spot.

Arrived at 1pm on the day to be told sorry large groups had come in the morning and booked spots all day. These groups had subsequently left and were coming back for their booked spots later in the day!

There were about 8 staff members behind the reception desk who just sent out the youngest staff member to deliver the news to us. Not one came out to explain how their explanation of the booking process had changed…terrible management, leadership and organisation. Not sure why the army of staff are not capable of running a booking system.

Tried to book a week in advance, told we had to just turn up on the day. Rang again on the day to see if we could go in early and book spot - told no just come when you’re ready. Rang an hour before we left to check all good and told come anytime. Turn up and told no spots all day, we should have come in early to reserve? !? !? !? !? !

I went a month ago and was very shocked by the rudeness of staff. I went of the track accidentally and tried to compromise with the staff, they said there was no excuses of going off the track. I was forced to go slow for the rest of the ride in fear of getting taking off by falling off again.

Well organised- really genuine nice people. While I didn’t go kart my family did and had a great time. Have to confess I know absolutely zero about motor sports - but was very impressed. What a great team!

Nice track to drive a go kart on. Briefing happens exactly when your session time is booked but they do ask you to be there 15 minutes before. Long walk from the reception to the track. The track was wet so the rear was sliding out in turn 1. Lacked pace in the straights or they were controlling it. As you find in other karting tracks ppl who think they are in an F1 race come and hit you from behind for no reason.
Overall it was good but I couldn't enjoy it because of the wet track.
