Phat Milk reviews
63 The first thing I noticed when visiting Phat Milk was the friendly and attentive staff. When I arrived they were short staffed in the midst of a morning rush. The team advised customers of the potential delay and did their best to accommodate under the circumstances.
Phat Milk offers both indoor and outdoor seating via a cute undercover courtyard. Visiting for breakfast we opted to sit inside and ordered the zucchini & corn fritters and the slow cooked brisket. Both dishes came out beautifully plated.
The zucchini & corn fritters with beetroot hummus, spiced labne, halloumi, sweet pickle onion, roast potato and a poached egg was a winner. The fritters were nice and crisp on the outside and worked beautifully with the other components on the plate. The egg was perfectly poached and I couldn’t get enough of the halloumi.
The slow cooked brisket with a slab of hash, poached eggs, spicy hollandaise, apple chips and micro herbs was a delight to eat. The brisket was tender and complemented the smooth and creamy hash.
Overall I had a lovely experience at Phat Milk and I recommend you check them out if you’re in the area. I rate Phat Milk out of 5. Thanks very much for having me.
Such a great Cafe! A+ service from all staff members every time and delicious food with a great variety.
The coffee is some of the best i have had in Melbourne if not the best.
My husband and I absolutely LOVE this brunch spot. We order the chicken burger and knefeh French toast and it never disappoints. Lovely owner and staff with a friendly atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
One of the worst places to get coffee! Customer service was pathetic and the person at the counter didn’t even acknowledge that the customer greeted them or is in the store. I was trying out coffee shops to get a coffee daily as my work place is not to far from here. Very rude while taking the order, even though the coffee is decent I’m never going back again. No masks while making coffee too!
Amazing place, a must try.
The smashed Avo is unique with smashing Flavor tones, coffee on point and the desserts are A1
Not my local but walk the 3kms for great coffee, delicious food and amazing service. Love the updated menu and decor!
I had an excellent experience at Phat Milk! Great to see the new renovations, and the new management is super friendly:) I tried THREE of the vegan options - Smashed Avo, Falafel Tacos and Porridge. Def recommend them all depending on your mood. Was really impressed with the freshness of ingredients and the consistency of the falafel! Atmosphere + vibe on point!
Since being newly revamped under new management, Phat Milk has become an Ascot Vale favourite! A light, well designed cafe with a great atmosphere and friendly staff is what you will experience. Amazing tasting food with incredible plating and a relaxed courtyard. Perfect for kids, families and puppies! This cafe is a definite must!
So much great choice with food, amazing coffee and unreal customer service. It’s hard to drive past and not stop by!
My two friends and I went to check this place out. Love the new layout and design, excellent customer service and great food! Definitely be returning.
Best food ever, the coffee very smooth & tasty, even the staff are doing great service.
Highly recomended for everyone who wants to start his day, feeling the exceptional taste!
We had a great time popping into this local café that has just recently been renovated! It was great to see that it now has a new menu, with unique menu items! We had a delicious feast, with a beef brisket, smashed avo that had many flavours and lastly the chilli scramble. Cant wait to come back for something sweet shortly as the savoury items that we tried were amazing!

Phat Milk’s menu & service are of the highest standards. I love the coffee and the halloumi tacos! Who can say no to that? ! Family friendly cafe also, and friendly smiles all around. Super clean too with an awesome vibe.
One of my favourite Melbourne cafes!
The menu is varied and has something for everyone, with plenty of healthy options and some cheeky sweet dishes as well. My PB smoothie was divine! And the chai latte was one of the best I’ve had recently.
I highly recommend the falafel dish! I will be back to try the pancakes next time around.
I got a fantastic breakfast offered to me with the nicest coffee enjoying the delicious tastes in the wonderful ambiance.
Definetly will be back. Phat milk previously needed huge changes and I must say the new owners did just that. New atmosphere filled with friendly, attentive and welcoming staff. The cafe is bright and beautiful. Breakfast was amazing guys and I'll be back to try the french toast next! Finally a place that knows how to make delicious coffee
When you regert your morning coffee because of the way he speaks to you as if he gives the coffee for free
Purely from a coffee and service perspective, I give Phat Milk 5 stars. The Code Black coffee made by expert barista is super delicious and the service is cheerful and efficient. Haven’t tried the food though.
Horrible service, empty cafe with extremely long wait for service without apology. Food was average and woman at the till clearly didn't care for anyone's experience
Loving the new menu, we enjoyed the middle eastern graze for 2! Brilliant customer service, the new manager is already adding a refreshing experience at Phat Milk, keep it up guys.
