We spent the weekend just before Christmas and overall experience in the hotel was great. The room was clean and spacious and the hotel even has a pool. The staff were amazing and so helpful from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Especially the staff in the reception as well as the breakfast room. The breakfast was good and reasonable. The hotel is located 2 minutes away from a tram station, which was an added bonus as we went to see Christmas lights in the city. Highly recommend

Check in took much longer than it should have. 20 plus minute wait in a quiet day due to only one staff working. Would not visit again

Stayed at Peppers Docklands recently for work; was a great space and a comfy space to rest!

Stayed here recently for work and was really impressed. Downstairs bar and kitchen was new and modern. Staff were helpful (despite my late night checkin) and I was swiftly up to my room in the fourth floor.

Room itself was spacious and comfortable. Showers and amenities were of a really great standard. Shower nice and hot in the morning with plenty of water pressure too! The bed itself was super comfortable as well, definitely aiding in a great night sleep.

Nothing really to report in terms of negatives I experienced. Perhaps only feedback would be incorporating USB charging bed side, but honestly that’s a first world problem.

Would happily stay here again in the future.

No in room service.
Restaurant only open for breakfast.
No black teabags in room.

£150/night + £14 breakfast so is on the expensive side but location wise it's walking distance to city centre/stadiums for sports or music events, great WiFi, and gym/pool

Peppers once was a brand that could be relied upon for class and service. Now they provide neither at a hefty expense. Stayed on a Monday night. Hotel bar is closed, no room service for food, parking is an extra $45 on top of the already expensive room rate. Price gouging at its finest. This will be the last time i stay at any Peppers run property.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff and location were great apart from not getting the pillows we asked for and towels, but do not leave anything in the room as you wont get it back. I spoke to the manager and he was not willing to follow up on why my property couldn't be found nor would he compensate me for it. He was more concerned with giving me as many excuses as he could as to why it wasnt found.
I reported my lost property the next day, not 2 days (as the manager has responded with). I had already spoken to reception and hadn't heard back so had to ring again the next day and thats when the manager found out. He wasn't helpful in following up with the house keeper that cleaned my room he only wanted to make excuses as to why they weren't in lost property. He was not helpful at all.

I should have waited till we had left the hotel before writing my review. To add to my initial review: we were told we were booked in for breakfast on Sunday 1st Jan by the hotel. I went to confirm my breakfast booking in reception on NYE, only to be told they don't serve breakfast. The staff member checked my booking and I was told it wasn't on my booking, conveniently it had been removed. We stayed at hotel for 2 nights and our room wasn't made up, we had to request fresh towels. Downstairs in the bar area, we had just come back from a walk, went back to hotel and ordered a beer and Bourbon, we were informed by staff they were only licenced to sell alcohol on a Friday and Saturday. Not 10 mins later we witnessed a guest and his partner purchase a beer and a bottle of water. We are so disappointed with our stay, never again.

Very bad experience staying here. We were staying here with our 8 year old kid.
The Air con was not working and kept going off every few minutes. When we called for help, the guy who came to our room just threw his hands up saying he couldn't do much since he didn't really work here and was just filling in, the air con needed some code to shut off the timer and he took no effort to try and get the code even though that meant that we would have a night of no sleep.
He then came to our room at almost 1 am at night and said he got a room next door that we could move too which didn't make sense since my child was already half asleep.
Nothing about our stay here felt like a 5 star at all.
The wash room down at the reception was also not working and had no water.
The towels we had in our room also had holes in them.
Over all a very bad experience staying here and would surely not be coming back.

Unfortunately, there were some negatives which made our stay uncomfortable. Firstly, our room did not meet expectations especially since we paid over $1.3k to stay there. It was small with no view. There was also loud construction right outside our window/balcony with workers on the room which meant we could never have the curtains drawn or sit out on the balcony due to lack of privacy. Considering it was my first time in Melb I would have loved a beautiful view of the city. Maybe next time customers should be informed there is construction going on. We would have definitely stayed at a different hotel.

Secondly parking was a nightmare, it costs $45 to park. There are only 11 bays and everyone that checks in is fighting for a spot. Maybe don't offer parking if you don't have enough space. We were moved from bay 11 to bay 7 to having no spot and being put in a accessible parking space which was a mission to get out of to trigger the sensor on the door to get out. Also, having to provide reception with our car keys seemed very odd and very inconvenient that we had to ask reception for OUR PERSONAL car keys every time we wanted to leave the hotel. Very strange experience.

Another note on the room, the TV was incredibly slow and unresponsive making it impossible to watch anything and the quilt had large yellow stains all over.

I definitely didn't feel like I was staying at a 5 star hotel and we felt very ripped off as the room was definitely not worth the $1.3k. Will not be staying at Peppers when in Melb nor recommending to others unfortunately.

Staying here for a third time and now they’ve decided to make it even worse by putting me in an accessible room neighbouring the nightclub.

I’m sure to get restful sleep this weekend. Let’s see if they respond to this review.

Be careful booking here.
Booked King room with balcony and got put in a shoebox.
Room is nothing like the 3D tour on their website.
Staff were rude and disrespectful.
Definitely not worth the money they're asking.
Will 100% not return.
Avoid and book elsewhere.

Wanted to trying something new and closer to the office… having not had issues the past 6 times staying somewhere else. Picked this place as it had a restaurant and bar. As well as a balcony with a view of the harbour/docklands.

Arrived, notified restaurant is closed down (after checking in). Was told, “if you’re wanting breakfast, the cafe across the street serves it”.

Then, got to my room… the amazing view I paid extra for… construction yard with bright lights.

No offer for discounted rate due to amenities not existing and balcony room basically pointless.

Will try another spot next time for work trips.

Place was clean and had nice shampoo and coffee pod machine (only 2 coffees free, the rest I have to pay for) but that’s about all it had going for it.

Beautiful hotel but the best part about the stay was the staff. All super friendly and hospitable. Made us feel warmly welcomed and cared for which isn’t always the case when travelling for work. Special thanks to Nardenia, Bianca and Jason for making it a memorable stay.

The location is ideal to go to Marvel Stadium. The room was great. Nice and clean.
Disappointed that we couldn't get breakfast as their facilities were closed due to staff shortage. Hopefully that will be rectified soon.
We will definitely be back.

Good location, pillows were comfortable, staff friendly but nothing else positive to say. Dirty sheets, things not working, stains, false fire alarm evacuation in middle on night, no pool (pool in motel next door) …

Friendly staff, large room, so conveniently located. Absolutely loved our stay. The only down side is the pool and restaurant was closed so no swimming or breakfast.

First of all thank you for everything it was better then I imagined, very good location, my room was great, nice and big, comfortable, nice balcony and great view, the hotel staffs were very helpful and polite everytime I needed. So thank you very much and I will def be back.

Absolutely disgusting. My friend and I had to leave the building and travel back home. The television did not work, no light switches in our bathroom and no assistance from anyone at front desk. I rang 3 times and no response or assistance. We got a family member to pick us up and drive us home.
I cannot recommend this place, as I would also expect a written apology from the people at Pepper's Docklands. There was no service providers on site.
I refuse to rate our stay, but to mention that it was the worse experience at any accommodation that we have experienced.
Pepper's Docklands has a lot to do, as their standards are extremely poor. I definitely require a full refund of our money.
Finally, I refuse to book any further stays with booking.com. This experience has been extremely disappointing.
