Great historic prison slowly being gobbled up by developers. Lots of lovely bluestone buildings and tours often available.
Went on the ghost tour of pentridge prison.
Nice if you like exploring abandoned buildings.
BUT kept trying to tell us that CHOPPER REID'S GHOST was haunting the prison.
CHOPPER died in Tasmania!
Did his ghost catch the Spirit of Tasmania over to Melbourne so he could haunt pentridge?

So far. Only managed to get as close as the external gates but to get inside is high on my to-do list.
Ghost Tour, gave me the creepy vibes. Stories well told, great history and did i see something back there? Could not sleep that night!

An disused prison complex that has been turned into a housing estate. A handful of the older 19th century cell blocks have been retained for the purpose of having heritage value, though the developers plan to convert them into a boutique hotel and shopping mall. IMHO they should just leave it as it is.
