Pentridge reviews
47Small convenient shopping mall for locals, with great little eateries around the edges. Downstairs has Ritchies, a pharmacy, hairdressers, barber, eyebrow beautician, phone repairman, florist, masseuse and couple of coffee shops. Upstairs is Palace Cinema and Dumpling restaurant.
It has many cool things, a movie theater, a park, a picnic, a pet-friendly outdoor bar, a delicious dessert and ice cream place.a super, clothing store with good prices.and it's very nice
Great job converting this, but keeping the aesthetics and history alive. You can shop, eat, drink, your the prison or just relax in the grounds.
The new tours are fantastic, they have gathered together a huge range of testimony from people who lived and worked and were incarcerated here and allowed them to speak for themselves. It’s an easy to use, immersive experience and very well done!
Great vintage market over the weekend! It was great to see the locals are showing up on the weekend and pentridge got a lot busier to keep the business alive!
Taste did not match the price, if u like noodles.not recommend!
Good environment but foods were under average standard.
Took my nephews here a beautiful sunny day for lunch and a wonder around. We ended up spending most the day here! Had some beautiful fish and chips out in the sun by the playground where they were later playing which also had a little water sprayer area they could run through and cool off. Later we went into the complex for a browse and then ended up at the cinemas to watch a movie.
Was a great day out at pentridge I wasn't expecting!
Had exactly what I need. Palace cinema, say no more… a great barber, free parking & the lovely brewery… can’t remember it’s name- sorry.
Plenty of space, not crowded has a cinema upstairs with a bar attached. Large iga supermarket was very busy. More eateries would be great.
Great walk around lots of information on history of pentridge.lots of small businesses inside pentridge
Small shopping centre built into the old Pentridge Prison. Modern fitout but sometimes the layout is odd because the shopping centre has to be built around the old prison exterior.
Lots of parking for a shopping centre of this size and close to the 19 tram.
I love this place! Just walking around where once, harden criminals were imprisoned, this place just screams out to be explored. Slowly, more of Old Pentridge Prison is being opened to the public and tours are starting soon.
Always like going here! Will be even better if they fill the vacant shops with something interesting.
The management service is terrible. I badly sprained my ankle in there terrible car park a couple of weeks ago near the disabled parking zone. I learnt the week before my accident the same thing had happened to another woman. I also found out recently nothing has been done to fix the problem. So my guess is the same accident happens regularly and they won’t do anything about it. I sure won’t be going back there or recommending it to anyone.
It's a small shopping mall with an IGA and a cinema within a historical complex that used to serve as a prison. Very limited amount of shops and entertainment apart from the two I mentioned.
Fantastic New mall. Great Iga.
We went there for the cinema. Fantadtic comfortable geautiful. Nice staff.
Only problem was queuing for tickets bought on line with the people buying tickets food and drinks! Not cool
Great little cinema with plenty smaller rooms where you can see well in all seats. More veg options would be great but the olive oil popcorn is yum and the connoisseur is good enough. Especially on cheap Tuesday!
Palace Cinema was disappointing.first they wanted to do a handbag search which was quite rude and invasive.then we were allocated front seats which made it impossible to watch the movie.
Good place for watching movie.with aesthetic old jail building, it really good place not only for watching but meeting your friend or going out with family
