Pelicans Landing reviews
64 Pros: great view; the seafood marina was lovely.
Cons: the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had; and the music was extremely loud and uncomfortable for conversation
Best bar in Williamstown
Great staff great atmosphere food and happy hour from 10am it's amazing bar/restaurant on the water of Williamstown
Highly recommended
Visiting from Sydney and met some wonderful clients here. Great spot, love the food and top area too!
To many people close together fish didn't taste like fish.table to small.waitress were excellent.my opinion it was not covid safe.
Good food and drink. Great views over the bay. Friendly and attentive staff.
Was very busy as could be expected after such a long period of lockdown due to the COVID-19 situation.
Minus point: Social distancing NOT in evidence! Totally understand wanting to make up lost income, but?
Christmas lunch. Good value relative to most restaurants. Good quality food. Nice staff who worked hard to keep people happy on the day.
Was a great view and good food. Wouldn't say it was worth the cost, especially since the steak came out well done. But the portions are big and the staff a friendly.
The guys at Pelicans are doing an amazing job keeping everyone safe while still providing a great time for everyone. Big props to Mel and Ronnie for the great experience!
Very dissapointed. Seafood platter was very over priced at $70. It used to be a three tiered smorgasboard but now its been downsized into this smaller share plate which actually felt a bit scabby.we raised this with the waiter that we were dissapointed by the change so she offered complimentary chips. Went to pay the bill and found out the chips were in fact not complimentary.another scabby moment for this place.
Dinner was over by the time the table water arrived after asking multiple times by multiple people in our party.
Place was overbooked with no covid restrictions happening as every table was squashed to the max and no one wearing face masks.
They also served an undercooked raw chicken burger to my friends daughter who has cancer and could have been made very sick from the bacteria.
Sad to say I wont be returning nor will my family but that seems to be rather common according to the other reviews on here.
Excellent views, great food and great staff. One of the best bars/restaurants in Melbourne. Again staff are fantastic. Happy hour is generous and amazing!
Average food and service. A busy restaurant. A bit overpriced considering the quality. Paying for the views.
Incredible views, fantastic service, exceptional food and drinks. Great function space! The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating would highly recommend
The food was good and plentiful, with a set menu or al a carte choice. I order their seafood and the quality was good. The service was tentative and quick.
Good spot to dine with a view of the bay or just grab a few frothies snacks with friends.
I have been to Pelicans Landing a few times and absolutely loved it!
Unfortunately I will not be returning after my latest experience, I made reservations for 2 people, we were sat outside next to a bunch of loud people, to the point of not being able to hear my partner speak at our table, we asked to move but the waitress said no.
It was also freezing even though they had heaters on.
And there was plenty of seating inside.
Our veiw was of concrete and hard rubbish. It was great!
The menu had very little.
I ordered the Barramundi and I was quite unimpressed paying $36 for 4 pieces of asparagus and Barramundi that was 3 inches big. I was unimpressed as the entre was larger then the main.
I ordered a lemon lime bitter with vodka and it was disgusting and tasted of only soda water.
It was a nice restaurant until I experienced all of this.
Paid in total $130 when I honestly would of preferred drive through takeaway.
50 Minute drive to get there.
No longer a customer.
Having lunch at Pelicans yesterday and it was really busy. Really enjoy the experience at the restaurant. We are very impressed with the food and the service. Highly recommend the poached mussels.
Staff initially was a bit rushed but our waitress (the girl with glasses) was very attentive and was very helpful explaining every dish that we concerned. We were delighted with the advice we was given about our wine choice (Hedonist Cab Sav) as it was one of her favourite wine selections.
Once again, thank you very much for the great food and the excellent service.
Pelicans Landing is the best venue in Williamstown. The views, the atmosphere, the best staff, long happy hour with $5 schooners, the food is second to none, great prices. There is a courtesy bus which picks up and drops off.
We have been to the pubs, restaurants & nothing even comes close to Pelicans. I look forward to going there on Fridays for dinner & drinks, but often call in when we are down the street for a beer or two. The staff are so welcoming.
We went here for Valentine's Day with friends, having booked for 8: 30pm. It was chaos. The venue was grossly overbooked and we had to wait 15min in a queue to be seated at a table that wasn't completely ready and was crammed into the space like sardines in a can. The staff were all clearly under pressure and the front of house guy was obviously concerned when he realised that we had booked a table for 4.
We ordered our entres and mains and had to threaten to leave an hour later before one of our entres was finally delivered. The remaining entres arrived separately 10 min later. Our mains finally arrived an hour and a half after we ordered them, at 2200 and included things that we didn't order, but did get billed for. During the same time a young couple beside us had only one of their ordered mains delivered but the other was incorrect, and they had to wait another 45 minutes before the correct main was delivered, by which time the young lady's main had to be eaten cold.
As we went to leave, there was a lot of confusion around what we had ordered, and we ended up paying for a list of food and drinks that wasn't correct for our table, but just paid and left to get the experience over and done with.
When our food did finally arrive, it was good food, but the wait was appalling.
Callam and the other wait staff were excellent, however, especially considering how many frustrated customers they had to deal with.
Not a perfect Valentines Day dinner. I won't come here again.
The customer service is perfect, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. $5 drinks from 4pm onwards everyday, a beautiful view of the harbor and dog friendly. Highly recommend.
Our family had a great time there on Saturday night. Despite being busy, the service was fast and friendly and the Paella I had was first class. The kids meals were great too and the overall scenery and vibe was nice. We'll be back.
Love it, great place to hang out looking over the Bay Area foods gr8 and staff always friendly. Cheers
