Pavilion Cafe & Bar reviews
723 was given as owner or person in charge was very rude to us and we seen how he was terribly rude to two of the staff.
The boss was so rude when we sat at a table outside - so left and went somewhere else for lunch
There were a number of us, and we put a couple of tables together to sit in our group. The wait staff were pleasant but the manager/owner? Was by his tone and mannerisms not happy. He came across rudely and abrupt even though his language was ok. We later witnessed inappropriate dealings with his staff that took the tone of bullying. Not a happy place. Won't be going back even though the food was good.
Had a some very decadent pancakes and a good strong pot of tea or brunch the other day. Friendly and helpful staff. Only down side was had to ask for the tea as it was not delivered with the rest of our order. More recently went for coffee which unfortunately was too cold for my liking as I like my cappuccino hot and strong
Very good location you can see the water infront of you. Nice staff always make cafe vibe in a better way. Cups are cute too!
We went there after 2 on a Sunday and the main kitchen was closed, but they still had rolls that they could toast and a selection of cakes to have with your coffee or a alcohol drink. We had a dog with us so they put us in a area on the balcony. There is a disabled toilet and ramp, so easy for disabled and elderly people to get in to the restaurant.
The ice cream in the Kiosk (on the bottom floor) is exquisite. Highly recommend. I got the pineapple and blood orange sorbet. Great flavour with a beautiful view
We had lunch here on our way home from Port Fairy. Delicious food & drinks. We walked in on a busy public holiday to be greeted straight away by a chap who was clearly happy to be there. The service was fantastic!
Excellent coffee, friendly and fast service. Food is great too and can't beat the location. Always a must when we visit Warrnambool.
We got coffee from here, such a lovely veiw, the coffee was awesome but the staff on the other hand were chatting for a good few minutes before they served us, which would have been no worries if they’d acknowledged us and said “be with you in one moment” but for that I’m not sure I’d return again, the fossils in the benches were a cool addition too
Great coffee and lunch menu is awesome! I eat here as many times as possible I can when holidaying in Warrnambool.
Had a great burger and my wife had the calamari. Both very good. Quick a friendly service. Nice scenery and a wonderful beach walk at nearby Stingray Bay to walk of lunch.
Please update your opening information. Customers rely on this and it is incredibly annoying to find you closed when it says you’re open
Not a great place for a cocktail! Food was decent, staff were attentive. Shame to look out and see so much concrete though.

It can be reached by walking up a ramp or take an elevator to the cafe. It has a fantastic view of the lake even from the inside through the full length glass windows. However it can be quite glary with the reflection of the sun shining on the water.
Diners can walk outside the "balcony" and enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding, including the rather calm bay.
It is spacious and a good venue for special function. I just come for a latte and my wife had a blueberry muffin. The latte is very weak and I can hardly taste the coffee. The blueberry cake is tasty and moist.
WIFI is not available at the cafe.
Food was outstanding and plenty of it. Service was also spot on. You get a good elevated view over bay anywhere you sit. Downsides were the coffee being a bit on the luke warm side and not all the staff were wearing their masks properly.
All in all a good experience.
The Pavilion Cafe & Bar right on the waterfront has indoor/outdoor seating, indoor ranging from bench seating for ~8-10 and tables of 2,4,6,8 and up to 16, reconfigurable as required. Outdoor has a similar setup with bench seating overlooking the water, multi-seat table config and several umbrellas.
Unsurprisingly was quite busy with a constant flow of diners.
Chose the Calamari with aeoli and salad - reasonable price and quite filling.
The atmosphere was as you would expect at peak holiday time - everyone here for a good and relaxing time with family and friends.the Pavillion Cafe & Bar team were friendly, efficient and pretty relaxed.
Underneath is the Pavilion Kiosk serving ice creams, coffees and cold drinks.
Also underneath is separate male/female/disabled toilets and a lift for accessing the upstairs Pavilion Cafe & Bar.
The Coast Guard is also located on the upper level.
Excellent service. Great view. Great food (we had the flake and calamari) and quick aswell! Will be back
Coffee is decent. Did mix up mine and my friend’s order once in my 3 visits.
Food is mediocre. Calamari chewy with soggy batter, plate was drowned in tartar, including salad. Baked goods are better.
Awesome location overlooking the sea. Food was tasty and service very quick! Prices were very reasonable for such a great spot.
