Have been here a few times now and have not yet been disappointed. Consistently great food and service. Will definitely be back again for another full belly.

An amazing find in Melbourne. Peruvian food that that was tasty, filling and well presented. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Extremely disappointed with the service. Made a booking a few weeks in advance, rock up on a Sunday for dinner and it’s not open due to maintenance according to their website. We were not inform that they are closed ahead of time and only to find out when we are standing in front of their restaurant.

Dinner last night. Really great food, friendly and responsive service. Good atmosphere. We totally enjoyed our dinner here and will love to come back again.

First and last time I will be eating here. Felt so uncomfortable at the restaurant after the run in with one very rude waitress that seemed like she didn't want to serve me and my partner. Food overall was decent, would be back again but after the experience with waitress (Danielle or Daniella - Long dark hair) 100% will not be back. She started off with letting us know about the recommendations of how much food to get from each course for 2 people as the menu was set to be shared. When it came to ordering, my partner was questioned and made to feel very awkward about the amount we ordered because we ordered less than what she recommended. I felt speechless to say the least. Who is she to tell customers how much to order.how does she know how hungry someone is. Thank you for the worst dining experience Pastuso.

Food and service are both great. My only complaint is the serving size.a bit too small for the price asked.never been to Peru but I bet the portion size would never be that small! I feel like they are trying to emulate those high class expensive French restaurants with very small portion size.it is indeed a bit of a trend here in Melbourne.

Officially my favourite restaurant in Melbourne, amazing food and service. We ordered the Ultimate Peruvian experience set menu and they didn’t rush us through it as many places do. Worth every cent

Super fun place to have a meal. Kitchen was open plan and we sat in front of the ceviche bar. Food was delicious all around and we loved the pisco sours. Sadly we had to give up our seat after 2 hrs but you can go drink near the bar.

Excellent environment. Really good food and great staff.
The mother’s day menu was very good apart from too small desert to be shared by 4 adults.
The main issue was the lack of a kids menu. The kids didn’t like at all the cassava + chicken and there was no other option.
$338 for 4 adults and 2 kids - mother’s day menu (no wine, only soft drink).

FANTASTIC Food and Wine that came out moderately fast. But too loud inside! Very urban but from the outside and on the website it looks quiet and intimate. Our waitress was very short with us and rude, felt like she was trying to get us to SPEND UP BIG! She was good at her job but was just “rushing around us” all night giving us the feel like we were being rushed and that we were pests.
To top it off she gave us the bill before we asked for it and asked for a tip.the epitomy of rudeness!
Booking system online was good, fast and easy.

From the moment we walked in till the end of our night, everything was perfect. It’s pricey but worth it. The restaurant is located in a funky alley way in Melbourne surround by graffiti.

I booked the restaurant on the phone in the afternoon, they asked me for credit card number (very weird, but ok). Unfortunately I was on the tram so I couldn't give them the number. They didn't call me back and they didn't left any voice mail as they said. Horrible service, luckily I didn't eat but I can't judge the food!

Been previously and loved it but sadly this left us disappointed. Tiny serves, expensive, staff average (20 mins for a drink), Rib Eye tasted stunning but cooked to rare (not offered an option of anything else) and full of sinew! Sorry too many fab other restaurant options to return.

After our trip to Peru last year we were keen to try some classic Peruvian food.and Pastuso delivered! The restaurant is a lovely cosy relaxed space that was absolutely buzzing when we arrived at 6.30pm. Staff are very knowledgeable and happy to translate / recommend dishes. The spicy fried chicken was sensational, as was the octopus. The steaks are beautiful, and absolutely massive. The smoked & flamed chicken was so juicy and delicious. Dessert was a treat too - we shared 3 and they were each amazing. The ‘Pisco caramel bread pudding’ was my favourite, but the ‘Peruvian lemon pie’ came a close second.

We are keen to try some classic Peruvian cuisine.and Pastuso sent it! The restaurant is a lovely and comfortable space to relax. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to translate/recommended dishes. Spicy fried chicken is as sensational as octopus. The steak is very beautiful and very large. Smoked and fired chicken is so juicy and delicious. Desserts are also a treat - we share 3 and they are great. 'Pisco Caramel Bread Pudding' is my favorite, but the 'Peruvian Lemon Pie' is close behind.

A fantastic night out and highly recommended for a romantic night out or a great place for a celebratory dinner! Chefs selection option is the perfect way to experience the greatest hits Peru has to offer. Service was impeccable. Our waitress was super friendly, always smiling and super attentive. Highly recommend Pastuso and can't wait to visit again!

We were welcomed in when a place next door was full.
This place was amazing and I left the food up to the chef, each and every dish was on point and delicious.
I will definitely be dinning here again and would not hesitate to recommend.
The flavours were smashing and the wine amazing also.

Went here by accident as chin chin had a 2 and a half hour wait and just walked around the corner and stumbled over this hidden gem. Delicious food, fantastic service, great ambience and had a great night.
