Parkville Motel reviews
38Stayed here for 2 months, really great family bussiness, friendly kind people, close to everything.
Honest and clean and comfortable. Noise does travel thru walls but be fair, it's not a $350 room.
Overall, well worth staying. Great location.
Parking bays are nicely wide to mitigate against length.
Negative reviews posted seem undeserved, from those with a niave, entitled expectation and lacking car park skill.
Close to where I need to go, but I left my ipad there on the side table and they say they didn't find it but was left on charger, NOT HAPPY will not recommend to family or friends, have never forgotten anything before very disappointed
Was great that they could accommodate for a week but could have offered a discount for a 7+ night stay. Prices were more than I would normally pay for the age and quality of the motel.
Location was great and the staff were nice and accommodating, as I needed to pay by invoice.
Really like this place because it has microwave in there which I didn’t find at more expensive places.
Information book states daily room service, never happened. Asked why and they said it hasn't since covid. Books definitely need updating. Under the beds were filthy and we had ants in our room. Booked as a family of 4 and received 2 towels upon arrival. The ladder on bunk bed was broken and unsafe.
The owner seemed polite enough though.
The only good part about this place is the location.
Springs could be felt in the mattress, towels had black marks on them, toilet seat didn’t open up fully, exhaust fan was disgusting, pipes made a horrid noise when the toilet was flushed, room stank.
Had trouble opening the door.
Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.
Didn't stay more than 10 minutes as a mold and bleach smell filled the room, the shower had gross stains aswell as the bed and and they wouldn't refund my partner and I, worst motel/hotel experience I've ever had wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
It smells like socks and he thought we were smoking to charge us more money and he said it have view to city the view it was only street they entered to room without asking never gonna come back stay away from this place
Good value for the price ; we did travel in peak time for holiday. Great location, easy to park onsite or on the street. Room equipments are a bit old and you have to be careful with the room key to ensure it works.
Badly needs updating
Bathroom mouldy.not cleaned before we came in.glasses were dirty.bed very hard.matress protector not covering the whole bed.toilet seat not correct seat.funky smells.residents playing music loud
Not as nice as I anticipated
I have stayed there before, it's a few minutes walk to the tram into city of Melbourne.free parking.so convenient, close to parks, zoo, & 7_11store, comfortable beds, reasonably quiet. & Priced.
It's a motel. Nothing fancy. A good spot to stay if you need something with a bit of access to the CBD.
Loud neighbours in adjoining room make it difficult to recover from hospital admission.
Disappointed does not even come close to our thoughts on this place! We just wanted somewhere to lay our heads before attending the elephant experience at the zoo.
The car park is ridiculously tiny, if you have anything bigger that a hatch back, don't bother.
Couldn't open the room door, management had to show us "the trick"
Beds are old and need replacing, as do the pillows.
Permanent residents in the room next door playing loud music until 1am! Then they were up again banging and crashing at 5am.the walls are paper thin!
Toaster supplied didn't work properly, had to stand there and hold the lever down for the toast to cook.
Mould in the shower!
TV is tiny and the numbers on the remote all worn off.
If I could give this place a 0.5 out of 10, that would be generous!
Do yourself a favour and pay a few extra dollars 500mtrs up the road!
Oh, the towels were nice though!
Quiet clean little motel, all necessities for a small kitchenette. Loads of power points. Nice stay for $50pp a night
Sorry, l don't know how anyone could give this place more than 1.5-2 stars going by the room l was in. I'm giving it 2 stars as the sheets and towels were clean and aircon worked on hot Melbourne nights.
The toilet and shower were reasonable but the rest of the bathroom walls floor around toilet can only be described as awful would have been a long long time since they had even been wiped over. There was paint peeling off walls and doors in bathroom dust on any surface, smeared l don't know what on walls.
The first night took me about 2 hours to kill all the mosquitoes from buzzing around my head and then on the last night felt a black coloured crawling thing on my shoulder while in bed and following morning similar one in bathroom.
Lucky l was out most of the time and only slept there.
Quiet, clean and friendly staff. I don't know what all the lower start reviews were about. I found them fantastic for a short stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and parking was great.
Parkville Motel is a comfortable, relaxing place also close to everything in the city, the owner is s genuine person and you couldn't ask for better service
Conveniently situated not too far not too close from the city.reasonable price n friendly staff
It is older but well designed I think and has everything you need. I would stay again and I have stayed at lots of motels.
