Parkdale Beach Cafe & Kiosk reviews
76Rarely would I leave a 1 star review however while my wife and I were waiting for takeaway coffees I picked up the newspaper only to have it snatched out of my hand and told as we had ordered takeaway yeah perfect to wait outside by the grumpy old bag who obviously isn’t interested in being there anymore. Coffee was great and the young female barista made an exceptional coffee however the whole experience was a let down by one person. Note it was early in the morning and the place wasn’t busy.
Staff are super friendly and are happy. Only had a coffee but it was really good. Happy to go back and stay longer next time.
Cappuccino, orange and fennel fruit toast and granola. Time to revisit! Fruit Toast and Bircher Muesli this time, with lactose-free cappuccino. And then there was chai…
I came here for breakfast with my family. Beautiful view from the Window, and the Vanilla Bean Pancakes I had were delicious.
Wait time was a little long, due to the cafe being full, but overall the staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely place and location.
Lovely Cafe with beach views. It's can sometimes be very busy and tables are very close together so it's a bit squishy to navigate to an empty seat.
Otherwise, delish food and cakes as well as consistently good coffee. And best GF bread.
The owner is very arrogant. I had to pay and kept mentioning that we were sitting at table 60 and she kept saying there isn't a table 60. As if I would make it up. And she kept making weird facial expressions rolling her eyes. Well next time go outside on the deck of your cafe and check to find table 60 so you won't make facial expressions like a 12 year old teenager! Zero customers service.
1x of my favorites cafe in Melbourne, food is incredible, staff super lovely (even on super busies days), at the view is stunning. Doesn't matter the weather, always is worthy.
Took 25 mins between two people’s food, enjoyed watching each other eat instead of eating with each other cheers.
Good location. That's about the only positive from my experience a couple weeks back.
The cold drinks are a rip off for what you pay. $10 gets you a small sized PRE-MADE smoothie. All they do is chuck in massive ice blocks in a small plastic cup and grab a milk carton from the fridge with pre-made drink and fill up the cup. Literally a 5 second job which took them over 15 minutes to make as my order was forgotten about. Order the same thing anywhere else and it gets made FRESH and with double the quantity.
"no spilt bills"
Idiots - Easy 50/50 in our case, what's the bother?
If there's an extra card charge just let me know
Food average, very greasy fish batter

Amazing. Came here for a quick take away and got the Wagyu burger special and spring rolls. Plus a coffee. The burger was the juiciest, most flavoursome, non fatty tasting burger my mouth has ever consumed.
The spring rolls were better than expected and the coffee was the perfect temperature and milk texture.
The staff were very nice and we didn't even eat in!
It’s a such nice caffe but unfortunately the service that I had this morning was terrible
A waitress with a terrible attitude I can understand the pressure time but you work with public so you still need to be respectful and treat your customers well.first and last time visiting here.
Yesterday I had the shiitake mushrooms with truffle oil listed on the ‘specials menu’. Beautifully presented and so delicious! Please add them to the main menu. I’m still thinking about them!
Still fab! Exciting daily specials that always sound tempting and especially in winter love a spot that offers a delicious daily soup! One Sunday when came with a toasty on the side - comfort food doesn’t get better than this!
Standard menu varied and quality consistent, service good and one of the few places down this way with a gorgeous sea view and on the water.
Parking easy, pup friendly.
Long time fave which remains after many years.
Great venue with lovely views of the beach. Menu is pricey eg $5 for a single hash brown! Had scrambled eggs with spinach, friend had same with mushrooms, we shared the sides. They don't take bookings so it's pot luck. Not sure I'd go again.
Chips cold, had to be sent back. Got a shock when I got the bill. 1 toastie, 2 small coffees and a chips $45. Won’t be back.
We waited 45 mins because we had kids while they let in others. Then when we finally got the table the service got better but it did put a damper-Kids were hungry by2.15 pm and they forgot an order. Food was good though. Hopefully they are better on a less busy day. 50/50 Your choice
Fabulous attentive and cheerful staff even though they were were very busy on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Staff went out of their way to help with GF options for my young Coeliac daughter. Gluten Free Vietnamese spring rolls cooked in a Coeliac friendly method highly recommended.
Beautiful location and friendly staff unfortunately only 1 vegan option on the menu: (disappointing as it’s not too difficult to omit animal products. Oat milk coffee was lovely.
Gorgeous view, great vibe.but $24 for a modest piece of schnitzel sandwiched between one slice of Tip Top white bread, (edges cut off) and a few bits of shredded cabbage (mascarading as 'salad') with a squirt of kewpie mayo.is a bit overpriced. Sorry but I expected a lot more (food) to be honest.
Bit disappointing
