Paringa Estate Winery & Restaurant reviews
85Everything was fantastic - the venue, the food, the staff, the atmosphere. We will definitely go again.
Lunch was nice except:
- we ordered scallops as an additional entree, they brought the starters before the scallops
- when ordering the main, wagyu, I asked twice for the beef to be cooked rare. The waitress acknowledged. Upon being served mains, the beef was brown throughout, well done. I returned it, said I had ordered rare. They said they couldn’t redo the beef and returned my overcooked beef. They said wagyu was served best as medium rare, I pointed out that the beef was brown throughout and was well done.
I didn’t eat the overcooked beef and instead ate my 6 year olds left over fish. Nothing was offered for being served food substandard and poor service.
Had I have known the beef couldn’t be served rare (or even medium rare), I would have ordered the fish. This was a real let down to the meal.
Desert was average. I left the restaurant hungry.
The wine here is delicious.
We visited Paringa for lunch about nine years ago, and I couldn’t stop thinking about one of the most delicious sauces I’ve ever eaten until we retuned on the weekend to celebrate a special anniversary. I will talk about the scampi with potato emulsion for another 10 years but will be back sooner this time. The food is sensational! The setting is beautiful, the room gorgeous and the service was second to none. Thank you to Paul, James and Amy and your amazing chefs for making our day one we won’t forget. See you soon!
Always a 5 star experience dining at Paringa Estate from the moment you walk in the door. Lovely setting, tables not too close together, experienced and long-term wait staff and always an interesting menu. We love the wines and the ever changing menu. You can't go wrong taking visitors here
We all had a fabulous lunch, what a treat, one of the best dining experiences that we have had for a long time. It was good to return to Paringa Estate after a long period of time (2o+ years) when my sister (Gayle Rusher) was the assistant wine maker and worked closely with Lyndsay when it was a much smaller but growing operation. Congratulations to the team. Gayle will be very pleased for Lyndsay. See you again soon we hope. Susie Rogers
Lovely setting polite attentive staff
Food just wasnt hitting the mark.
I have walked away disappointed to what I paid and what I gained being completely honest.
On the menu
Beef and lamb were options and yet not offered on the night.
Food sizing was too small all though I understand fine dining is higher quality and smaller portions.
I have travelled all over the mornington peninsula and this is by far the most I've ever paid for a meal to walk away disappointed. The price needs to come down
And the portions needs to go up.
The rocks mornington
Pitete tractor
Barmah Park
And so many more were amazing and have dined many times
Quality did not give me the wow factor i certainly paid for.
Love Paringa Estate. They make exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Lovely food, great setting, good times!
Thank you to Nick and the other staff at Paringa for a wonderful tasting this afternoon. We had a lovely afternoon and highly recommend Paringa!
Today we had the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Amy for cellar door tastings.
The way she described the wines was relatable for us and we appreciated her personal take on the tastings.
Had a wine tasting of their Estate range. Decent wines, but was expecting a bit more depth and concentration based off what I had heard of the producer. Probably does one of the best Syrahs in the region. For other varietals, you'll probably find other wineries excel at the same price point (if not cheaper). Still good wines nonetheless. The tasting was also a bit fast with a little lacking on exposition between the wines. Probably a side effect of being one of the larger operations in the region.
Such a wonderful place to go on a cold June day. The wine tasting prior to lunch got our palate ready for a wonderful afternoon of fabulous food and wine. Highly recommend
Dropped in for a casual lunch in the garden and my favourite Pinot Noir the Paringa Estate Reserve.
Love this place. Simple food, tasty AF. Bathe me in those cherry and plum aromas
My partner and I enjoyed a lovely Saturday evening 4 course set dinner at Paringa. You could choose 1 of 2 mains and add extra starters and cheese platters if required. The meals were awesome, a welcome mix of flavours and textures. I enjoyed a couple of cocktails and my partner had an sophisticated sparkling. Paringa catered for my partners dairy intolerance without compromising her enjoyment. The wait staff were attentive and friendly and the view was lovely. The space is intimate seating only 28 on the night. Book early. This was a standout dining experience for us on our weekend away. No hesitation in recommending this place.
10 years stored in the best condition, the 2012 Shiraz really surprised us. If it was in a blind tasting situation, you will be tricked into guessing this is from one of the big names on the left bank of Bordeaux.
Superb location and beautiful vista from the dining room. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in the door. All the staff were highly professional and happy to answer questions about the menu and the wine list. Each course was an exquisite balance of flavours, texture and portion. Will definitely be back!
Had the four course set-menu.
The food wasn’t bad. I must say, the Sher Wagyu was amazing but four course meal not worth $129pp excluding drinks.
Spent $288.00 and had to stop for fast food on the way home. Also asked for two extra pieces of bread and was told they couldn’t accommodate it because there wouldn’t be enough………. Definitely not going back there.
"Wonderful meal, thank you. The quality, sizing, presentation, matching wines and ambience was beyond our expectations. Highly recommend.
I had a close friend visiting from the UK and wanted somewhere to go for a special dinner – Paringa Estate did not disappoint - the food was amazing (from both pescetarian and omnivorous perspectives) and it goes without saying that the pinot noir was divine. Our evening was topped off with a great view of the vines, and watching the local fauna galavanting around at dusk. A perfect dining experience and I will be back for sure.
Excellent food & service, not to mention great wines!
also a beautiful outlook over the vines
My husband brought me to Paringa Estate for a surprise birthday lunch & it did not disappoint!
Situated in Red Hill overlooking the vineyards, this beautiful winery is a must visit.
We had a set 4 course menu which you can add to if you wish.
The flavours, combinations of ingredients & presentation of the dishes were exquisite, you have to try the King Island Rock Lobster Bun, it is optional, the scallops were amazing, as was the Sher Wagu.
Everything was just so delicious & the service was outstanding!
