Papa G's Pizza

Pizza had lots of nice toppings and was huge we ordered a big rectangle style party pizza and everyone loved it.

Very satisfied with my phone order, pickup was ready right on time. Great service.

Papa G used to be great. I gather they've changed owners because previously we never had a single issue with our orders. Now the last two orders have been wrong. I'm not sure if I'm missing something as surely putting toppings on a pizza base isn't that hard.

Also they substituted the ice cream without letting us know for a far cheaper ice cream with no credit. I contacted them twice with no luck.

I'll be looking for a new pizza place now. Alas Papa G, you were once so good.

EDIT: I have since heard from Papa G's so credit to them for taking on my feedback and reaching out.

Food ordered at 6pm, rang 730 food on its way apparently! 8pm it’s been delivered well it wasn’t and when I rang the person answered as YES so rude again food is being sent out. 910pm rang again and sorry but your order has been delivered rude lady on the phone. Do not order from here absolutely disgraceful! Just an apology would have sufficed.

Phone ordered Pizza for pick up and when I arrived they had forgotten/lost my order and thus not even started. Tried to tell me that it would take "another 10 minutes" when it was clear they forgotten our order; despite the place looking quiet. In a rush so just cancelled the order and went hungry.
Mind you, reading some of the other reviews it seems I may have been lucky not receiving my order.

Really happy with my vegan pizza / i got the mixed vegetable one and it was packed with toppings you get no where near this much topping at most other pizza joints. Friendly service too, i wish I lived closer to visit you guys weekly!

I rated this place 5 stars 6 years ago, but unfortunately Joe sold the business around 3 years ago. I went once thinking same staff, same oven so maybe same pizza. Boy was I wrong. It was like a flat bread with barely any toppings on it. Horrible. This was couple ears ago, no idea if they picked up their game but found another pizza place now so not game to try.

Picked up 2 pizzas having messed around trying to swipe my card several times as none of there machines did not work and taking time. Got home had to re heat only to find the pizza were hardly cut! With all the topping falling off as you tried to eat!
Proberley the worst pizza I have had

Ravioli bolognese was undercooked and tasted like tomato sauce, fettuccine carbonara tasted like cream on pasta, although we waited for it to be prepared a 2 minute drive and it was cold, didn’t eat either.

Many of these reviews are unnecessarily harsh. Papa Gs is our go to pizza place in Mornington and hands down the best option for your standard pizza. So much better than Dominos in a similar price bracket. Calabrese and Margherita are great. Bases are nice and thin. I find the service fantastic as well. Keep up the good work!

NEVER ANSWER THERE PHONES. OMG OWN A PIZZA SHOP BUT DONT ANSWERS CALLS WHAT PIZZA SHOP IS THIS. DISGRACE. WONDER WHY PROBABLY ON THE PHONE TO OVERSEAS THEN CUSTOMERS. WHATS MORE IMPORTANT!

We placed an online order, money was taken, a delivery time given, and after 40mins past the indicated delivery time, we tried contacting them by phone only to get engaged signal.
After going back online we see that they “closed early”

Not happy!
Well, we got our delivery nearly 2 hrs after placing the order, and not only were all 3 pizzas cold, the order was wrong. Still not happy, but learnt a lesson….

Raw bases, burnt toppings, cannot cut a pizza, extremely rude owners 1staff member verbally abused me for wanting a refund, no cheese chicken not fully cooked, overcharged treated terribly disgusting pizzas gotten stomach pains, NEVER GO HERE!

Have called council and health and safety rotting food smell inside store

Waited 3 hours for delivery on a Friday night for 2 pizzas, 10 mins away, they then still wanted payment when they finally rocked up, forget it.

Tasty ingredients and better than others in the area. My tip for anyone ordering here ask for extra cheese to make any pizza better. Who doesn't like greasy pizza

Had Pappa Gs pizzas for tea tonight, what a disgrace. I wouldn't normally complain but after throwing most of the pizzas in the bin I just felt like I should

Don’t bother going to this place. They don’t listen. I have CD and they just don't care about others. I place an order with no one else in the shop at all for one (1) GF Pizza and the lady asked me 3 times (what sort of Pizza!) and when it was made they did not tell me its ready and made me wait another 15 minutes and i am the only one there!
AND they made two (2) Pizzas! Whats that about. I had to walk away to angry i did not ask for my money back. MOVE ON.

Ordered and received this monstrosity of a pizza. The fact that someone looked at it, thought it could be cut up, and then served, shows that not much care is given to the food that is served.

It's honestly up there with one of the worst things I have ever paid money for and won't be going back anytime soon after receiving this.

My favourite pizza place in Mornington. Good range, good quality, reasonably priced, easy online ordering and prompt service.

We ordered 3 party pizzas for a birthday. They were ready on time, delicious and well priced. We will use again and highly recommend.
