I have had a chronic neck injury for several years. Ever since my first appointment at PSA with Dr Keogh, I have felt fully supported and cared for by all the professional and empathetic team including my appointments with Dr Gee (counseling) and Farah, who prepared a tailored physio exercise program for me. The wonderful and friendly administration staff have kept me informed of all my appointments. I finally feel there may be some hope to effectively manage my pain and improve my quality of life. Thankyou Pain Specialists Australia!

ONLY GAVE ONE STAR TO MAKE REVIEW. DONT CLASSIFY FOR ANY STARS! Had over priced and ineffectual appointments with a range of their so called "specialists". Total waste of time and money. My GP wanted me to see them again for review a couple years later. However, they continue to treat people badly and even worse! Over the phone to make appointment. If that is possible! I refused to go back and now seeing someone else. This is purely a money making business and not in the health business catagory at all. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!

I have never met such a supportive team than Pain Specialists Australia.
They actually listen to you, they look you in the eye while you're talking to them in regards to whatever made you to be there in the first place.
They gave me 4 or 5 different ways in which to help me manage my pain safely. I even got a referral to their Psychiatrist to hopefully help with the whole head thing. I haven't yet gelled to one yet since I moved here over 10 years ago.
So yes I wholeheartedly recommend Pain Specialists Australia.

Dr Stiofan O'Conghaile is a wonderfully caring man. As someone with multiple injuries sustained in a car accident and subsequent chronic pain, I appreciate how he takes the time to listen to my concerns, reviews all related referrals/reports and thoroughly explains treatment options. I have been very satisfied with my hospital admissions and surgeries as well as the follow up appointments. I know that I will be looked after in the future. The reception and admin team are delightful to deal with, professional and helpful. I am incredibly confident in recommending Pain Specialists Australia.

Waste of time and money not to mention the lady at door enforcing the covid protocol was incredibly rude.

I can’t thank the team at PSA enough! From the moment we arrived Natasha greeted us beautifully and then meeting Dr Clara Wong was an amazing experience. I have suffered with chronic back pain due to having a laminectomy when I was 16! For 32 years I have lived with “real pain”. Dr Clara was so understanding and listened and provided me with some great reasons where and why my pain is what it is and gave me heaps of options to begin my downgrading of pain in my life. My partner also was included and it was an emotional moment. Thank you Dr Clara. Also, the girls at reception are also beautiful people and we are now friends, pens and coffee coming your way next visit. Hahaha. Seriously such a caring bunch of people. Marcus:)

I cannot recommend Pain Specialist Australia highly enough. After 30+ years of trying many different types of therapy to control my chronic pain condition Dr Nick Christelle was the most knowledgeable, genuine and successful person who helped me quickly achieve my goal. They work as a highly professional multi disciplinary team who are extremely dedicated to their work and are very approachable. Thank you for changing my life.

Pain Specialists Australia have an amazing team of specialists who work together to support their patients in every aspect, physically and mentally, and come up with the best solutions for each individual. They have been amazing and extremely supportive throughout my journey.
Could not be more grateful and can not recommend them highly enough.

I have been a patient with them since 2016 and they have done a great job of helping me manage chronic lumbar and nerve pain I have dealt with for more than 25 years. Last year, I had another disk rupture and because of nerve impingement and loss of leg strength surgery became necessary. Thanks to Dr. Nick Christelis, I am recovering well. He always discusses options and gives his best recommendation, but never pressures you. He has this innate ability to listen, intuitively get right to the heart of the problem and devise a plan that gives you hope when you need it most!

Fantastic pain management. After enduring decades of pain from my military service, seeing Dr Keogh and undertaking his managed plan has seen me finally secure some relief. The staff are friendly, professional and provide care with empathy.

Nick and the team at Pain Specialists Australia have changed my life.
I was in constant pain and struggled to function on a daily basis. Since my nerve stimulator implant I have been able to return to living a normal life.

I had tried many things before this with no luck.

Worst decision I ever made was to come to this clinic, my pain was bad before however after a procedure I’ve had it’s left me in excruciating pain 24/7, did not feel supported or cared for afterwards. Please consider strongly before you have these procedures, you could very well end up in a much worse position, I have been unable to work full days since my procedure. I read the review below and pain inducing is certainly all this place has done for me. I am absolutely devastated with my outcome. Please be very careful before committing to any treatment, understand the risks involved before proceeding and please get several opinions.

Dr. Christelis subjected me to unnecessary surgery, after refusing to inform me of and or provide me with alternative treatments such as medical cannabis. These doctors take a surgery first approach to pain treatment. Disguised as a last resort by providing other options such as prescribed tablets. Prescription medications, that provide ephemeral pain relief thus generating a pathway to surgery. It’s borderline criminal activity. Clearly driven by avarice, these people don’t seem to care that the demographic they serve are people that suffer from serious conditions. How can anyone believe that SCS is a good idea? Moreover your radio frequency denervation caused me elevated pain levels for several weeks! This treatment was supposed to help relieve my pain issues not exacerbate them. Your pain inducing, money gouging discomfiture enterprise should be shut down!

I had an extremely positive experience with Pain Specialist Australia. They offered a number of testament options for my chronic pain, having had significant lower back pain after a fall. I undertook radio-frequency first, which significantly reduced my pain and after 12 week I undertook PRP on residual pain in my left SIJ and tendon/ligaments.
My goal is to be pain free and get back into some heels. Together with exercises, I would highly recommend this group of specialist to anyone seeking pain relief. The care Ans attention to detail by my specialist was incredible.

I’ve had a very long term injury and was sent to the pain specialists by my sports physician and aft seeing many pain specialists and doctors and every other medical person i was honestly very unsure what to expect. My doctor sent off my referral and I was contacted promptly by a wonderful friendly team member at the pain specialists.
I found them to be extremely welcoming from the minute I walked in the door. I was extremely nervous and still unsure what to expect. I saw Dr Keogh who was absolutely fantastic. He listened to my history and gave his honest opinion on what would and wouldn’t work in my case. He asked for my opinion and made sure I was comfortable with the treatment options and made me feel 1000% comfortable with everything and didn’t have any questions before I left his room. He gained my trust almost instantly and I’m yet to meet a more professional and honest specialist. I’ve had awful experiences with previous medical pracs and struggle to let them in and help me but I’ve had nothing but huge positives from the pain specialists.
This case was an insurance case and Im extremely lucky and grateful for Natasha’s help with my claim and all the hard work she put in contacting and chasing up claim managers and sorting it out for me all within less than one day! The lengths Natasha went to for me was nothing short of amazing and I have nothing but praise and gratitude for not only Natasha but every single team member at the pain specialists that I’ve encountered and I couldn’t recommend them higher.
To anyone else in my position and unsure of what to expect- do it! Go and see them and you’ll be extremely happy like I am. The only thing I regret is not going to see them sooner.
Thanks again so much Natasha and Dr Keogh and I’ll see you for my next apt in a fortnight:)

After 2 years of searching for answers, having no diagnosis and seeing numerous doctors and specialists I changed to a new GP and was referred to pain specialists australia. Within my first appointment with the lovely Esther and after a few simple tests, I received a diagnosis. Most importantly I received complete validation and acknowledgement for the pain I am in and I couldn't thank the team and Esther enough. I felt that they truly cared about my condition and well being. After a roller coaster of doubt, emotional trauma and unexplained crippling pain, this has been life changing.
Thank you team!

Dr Nick is an anaesthetist as well as a pain specialist. His beautiful wife Dr Georgie is also an anaesthetist. He treats me like his own daughter. He genuinely cares about the fact that I am in pain and has done so much to reduce it. Whenever I am anxious Nick calms me down and reminds me that he is human too and experiences the same anxieties from time to time. Not only that but he has an amazing clinical psychologist Jeremy Mason on his team who understands pain, as well as, life and the everyday problems that life throws at us. Jeremy makes you feel comfortable from your first appointment and makes you realise that he is human just like you. Dr Basanth may seem hard from the start but he is a very good psychiatrist who understands pain medication and the addiction side to things opioids can cause. He also helps with the depression and anxieties that pain can bring along with it.
I highly recommend Dr Clara Wong who is also a pain specialist if you cannot get an appointment with Nick. Dr Esther is also an awesome pain specialist who is kind and caring as well. Ailish the nurse is very kind and caring and helpful when the Dr's are busy.
The only flaw with PSA and its quite a MAJOR one is the reception. They can be callous and cold and the do not well represent the Drs, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Occupational therapists and Physios that work there. A former medical receptionist myself, it is disappointing and upsetting when dealing with the receptionists at PSA, as they are not understanding that patients are in pain and they do not understand when you have an urgent medication matter. They also request that GPs send an email and do not provide GPs with a direct page number to your specialist in the event of an emergency. I think with more compassion and further training the reception could easily improve. COVID-19 may have also impacted the reception teams ability to well represent the doctors. I hope that they do not become the downfall of such an amazing team of doctors and specialists who can truly change your life forever.
If you can look past some of the receptionists you will be on track to change your pain, as well as your entire life holistically.
Thank you Nick for changing my life.

P. S Thanks for your response guys, I think COVID-19 had a lot to do with our misunderstandings. Please know that I will continue with Nick and his team and family of doctors for the rest of my Chronic pains life. Natasha is very on the ball and I'm sure eventually the other ladies will follow in her footsteps. But I simply cannot rate PSA anything other than a 5/5 for everything.
