Otway Gate Motel

What a great motel. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. Room looked like it had been recently renovated. Great TV with Foxtel. Excellent shower. Graham was very welcoming.

Great little country motel. Comfortable clean rooms and towels with nice hot showers. Excellent breakfast delivered to your room, nothing was too much trouble. Great location in Colac.

Sleepless night. Uncomfortable small bed. Traffic was noisy as it is located on the highway into town. Breakfast was ok.

The best Motel in Melbourne!

Me and my partner broke down in otway park and had this accommodation booked for us for the night!

All I can say is 6 stars! The rooms are clean, spacious, fully equipped and modern.

The owner and his partner are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet! They even drove us to the shops to get food as all the deliveries were closed and we had not eaten all day due to the breakdown.

Super clean, modern rooms and quiet while still being close to town. Everyone working were very kind and helpful. Stayed for a night as a pitstop during travel and would have liked to have stayed another night ️

My friend stayed at the Otway Gate in Colac for a few weeks and he settled in just like home! Graham was exceptionally kind and wonderful and looked after my friend just like a mate! He felt incredibly comfortable and was very thankful for his stay. I felt very welcome each time I visited to pick my friend up for outings and I would walk into Reception so I could have a lovely chat to Graham, he is such a sweetheart! I highly recommend Otway Gate Motel!

Clean, tidy and quiet. Staff are friendly and accomodating. The bed is so comfy and they have Netflix! The little garden is very useful for bbq and outdoor breakfast and dinner. We had good photos of the garden view from our outdoor dinner with our kids.

Graeme was very friendly, we could tell immediately the rooms were very clean. We were also happy for our recommendation for a great pub dinner.

Friendly and efficient welcome from Graeme. The rooms are spotless and have everything you need, even bath sheets instead of tiny towels. Graeme also recommended The Austral Hotel for dinner which was fabulous.
My only regret with Otway Gate was that we were only there one night. A pleasure to meet Lily when I returned the key after a wonderful night's sleep. Hope to stay again.

Great location on the main road, so should be easily located, checked-in by the owner Graeme Taylor, and easy access to food and services in and around Colac.

We as a family stayed for one night. Excellent accommodation. Neat and clean. Spacious rooms and good customer service. Will come back again and sure recommend to all coming this way.

Clean and well looked after. Check in available earlier than normal (as shift starts earlier). Breakfast rolls are nice.

Exceeded expectations, clean, modern bathroom with great shower and large fluffy towels, comfy bed, large TV. Everything you need. Very friendly staff.

Had a really good stay here, we had to check in really late and that wasn't a problem for Graeme he made us feel at ease over the phone. When we arrived the room was very clean and comfortable for the price. I would be happy to stay there again.

We got a 2 room family room it exceeded our expectations for a 3 star motel.
Very clean well presented and friendly.
We ordered breakfast and the poached eggs are the best I've had and the prices are more than reasonable.
When we are back over that way we will definitely stay again.

Room was very clean, shower is amazing and the owners were so helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend otway gate motel.

The Otway Gate Motel is extremely clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
The rooms are immaculate and the shower heads are amazing with full glass enclosures, rather than curtains.
Their breakfast is delicious, though I've really only had the poached eggs.
The only down side is, they don't have Smart TVs.
Otherwise, Highly Recommended!

The room was modern and appealing and the owner very helpful (great that the office is open till 9.30, as many close earlier). The efficient heating and electric blanket were much appreciated. The hot water could have been a tad hotter. While the setup is very aesthetic, it is not super practical, as the microwave (in my room) was on the bottom shelf of a closed cupboard and the fridge is in a closed cupboard and was a bit difficult to access it all the time. The motel is on the main road, but the traffic noise mostly ceases overnight. The motel is not easy to find as there is little external lighting and you could drive past and not notice it.
