Organic Wholefoods Brunswick

Good local shop but they need to check their lables as some of the products are out of date and selling half price! Not the first time this happened

This place is a hidden gem. They have a great selection of gluten free, vegan, organic and sustainable produce, meats and groceries. This includes wine, beer, cleaning and cosmetic products. Seriously worth a look and even though it's on the pricey side, it's genuinely worth every cent.

I understand that it is hard to keep food cold during hot weather. But I think more could be done. Fresh bread seems to be stale by mid morning, the citrus fruit languishes and the milk/cream goes off way before the use by date. The staff seem to be doing all they can to maintain the standard but they too, must be suffering in this sweltering heat. I looked up and saw only one air-conditioner for the entire huge room. May have to do my weekly shop in Northcote this summer!

I was so excited to find this store so close to my home at first but I get charged too much nearly everytime I buy something there. I always have to double check, but today I forgot.so I got angry and that's why I write this review.
Some of the discounted items are out of date. I hate to throw away food and don't mind eating it if expired, but I don't know if it's legal to sell expired items.

This store is looking amazing in the last few months. Huge improvements. The staff are so friendly and kind. The manager has done so well with the shop and staff. I would definitely keep shopping at brunswick. I would have to say though, it is hot in the shop! Might have to invest in better air conditioning!

Very sad about the new fees when paying by card. I don’t want to lose faith in my local organic shop but I feel betrayed: - (

First of all, I am a bit disappointed to see how prices sometimes can vary when I go to pay and then I check on the receipt that it is not the one displayed on the shelf label. Most times it is stressful (I need to double check by myself before going and asking one of the staff member to check it for me and then proceed with the refund) and time consuming (you can imagine this!). Also if I don't show them the membership card on time they won't scan it because they assume that on fresh produce and other items it doesn't apply but then few times they were wrong, and after pointing this out they payed me back (again this js poor costumer service).
Anyway, even though his is not very pleasant it is not so bad as what happened last time. I bought a chocolate bar with 50% discount, I came back home, I had few bites of it and surprise.there were tiny holes and some tiny thin threads sticking on the surface! Completely rotten chocolate, sold half price because it was only 6 MONTHS OLD and they assume it is safe. I couldn't go to the store in person so I called them alarmed, telling them what happened to make sure that they would have checked the same bars on the shelf at half price. Few days later I went to the store and I talked to one of the staff member but she didn't want to deal with this so I had to show up another day when the staff manager was in the store and she didn't know anything about it! So no one talked to her the day that I called them. SHOCKED. The reaction was "I am sorry I'll give you a refund". SHOCKED a second time. I thought that health and safety should have been one of their primary concerns. I am very sorry but I don't want to deal with this sort of situation anymore.

I get intimidated by health food stores, but this one is much quieter, calmer & more spacious than Terra Madre. I've been coming here years now, and Lou and Sophie have been especially terrific staff to deal with. I adore them! I kind of feel part of a community, and gosh that's lovely.
Prices? Organic produce is sometimes CHEAPER than non-organic from the supermarket! They get broader ranges of products all the time which is excellent for someone with food intolerances.
Because the store is kind of in a warehouse it can be a little 'blink and you miss it', but I love that someone in a wheelchair could get in no worries.

Great selection of stock, I come here for organic noodles and bulk salt. Lots of organic/sustainable pantry fillers but do check used-by-dates. Have had long waits at the register when staff all disappear at once.

I have been a customer here for a year and sadly the customer service and product offerings have declined since management changed. ALWAYS check your receipt I have been incorrectly charged more times than I can remember. Terra Madre is now my preferred purveyor.

GOOD Prices GOOD Friendly stuff and **ORGANIC** FOOD! = Health & Beaulty for the mind and for the body!
