78Extremely rude customer service from "Fiona" and the customer service team at Chadstone Optus. The Store Manager Chris Arkoudis should be ashamed how his representatives are trying their best to treat customers with the most disrespect as possible. Bad teams start with the leader.
If you have any queries/need assistance, I think it's better if you seek help online rather than in this store.
I understand that working in a retail environment is gruelling (!) which can be taxing on the staff, but immediately telling a customer you can't help them and to seek help "online" whilst declining to give them any further instruction/information is a bit rude, (especially when said online assistance has stated to go in-store to seek help lol).
Dealt with a customer service representative by the name of Steven/Stephen. The moment they realise your enquiry isn’t related to a long term contract is the same moment they become less enthusiastic. Haha, must be a tough job.
I was served by Nathan (I believe that was his name) recently. Young guy. Was incredibly helpful, patient, and his customer service skills were great. Was incredibly pleased with the care and effort he went to to make sure I got what I needed. A great worker.
Daniel, the trainee was SO helpful with my enquiry the other day! Such great customer service that didn't go unnoticed.
Currently been waiting for over an hour. The reason for my visit is that I organised for my service to end due to moving overseas. They cut it off early even though I told them my leaving date. Optus is fine until you need to interact with them in any capacity.
The customer service is just trash. Alex who was mean to help the customer and he super rude and so unprofessional he should not be hired with his attitude at Optus at all. He is not made for a job role where he has to communicate with customers face to face. Please send him to extra training or remove him from company.
Pathetic customer service, can't stay on top of their tasks and not even accountable for simple questions especially Alex and ended up wasting two hours for something that can't be done in the end.
Optus's chatbots are much more helpful and quicker.
I went there on 28th Sep 2018 around 7 pm just to buy a prepaid Sim card for a relative visiting here. I was told that it will take 1 hour. What an unbelievable queue time just to buy this! The operation seriously needs to be streamlined to improve their customer service.
I went to Vodafone next door, who happily serviced me within 5 min.
If you deal with optus this will be the best stop for you!

Terrible customer service. Took 5 minutes before we were even acknowledged and once we were a guy with an iPad asked for our names and moved onto another customer without evening asking what we needed help with or telling us how long we would have to wait or what he was doing. The store is also very busy so I wouldn’t waste your time
The worst store ever should have checked ratings which is 1 star to begin with. I wonder why is optus even operating. Unfriendly staff with zero knowledge waited 90 minutes for my turn get a simple question regarding prepaid phone answered. Never going near optus again.
One of your employees, i believe the name was eric, helped me get a good phone plan, we had a really good conversation
I waited 45 mins and even though the service lady told me I was next in queue, the manager and salesman started attending to 3 other customers.
It was definitely a case of nationality preference where Indian nationals were given a priority and allowed to cut the line as the manager and sales person were Indians as well.
Bad bad bad.cant say anything more. Disgusting people work here. I dont know why they are not doing anything about it despite so many bad reviews. The manager Mon is really unprofessional person and loots the customers. Misguides the customers and doesnot give them their money’s worth of service. They truly need to upgrade their game or else more customers will come forward to speak about the truly disgusting experiences they have had their and
When walked in first time, was asked to wait in queue for a text message notification. Got the message after an hour, when I to back in store was asked to wait someone will attend to help. Then I waited till the store is closed.that’s not funny at all.disappointed
Had a wonderful customer experience today with Ervin. Was very polite throughout the interaction and made sure I was put on a much better plan, saving me plenty of $$$
Damir was extremely willing to help, went above and beyond to find out the information I needed and made an effort to get in contact with me in regard to the issue afterwards.
