41Went in there today looking for a new plan and phone, I was getting served by Shannon and her customer service was terrific, I am not sure if she was new but myself and her co workers could tell she was having trouble with the system, they just watched and knew she clearly needed help, but did not give or offer support. That’s not what co workers do. Once a mistake was made that’s when support was offered even though it’s should of been shown before as we were having problems with the system. They acted like they knew everything but had no intentions of helping until it was already to late. Staff like Shannon should be provided with more support by her team. Shannon did a great job finding ways to overcome the problem and work under pressure. This review is mainly at the staff from a lack of support and reliability for other Co workers specially knowing that help is needed and not providing clear and effective help.
Just had an amazing service and sales experience with Hannah - I just signed up another Optus phone and a very happy Optus customer. Hannah was so so helpful with all the queries and such a smooth easy transaction. Optus has a real asset in Hannah and should feel fortunate to have someone like her servicing its customers at the Geelong Westfield store. Thanks Hannah!:)
Good Shop, really friendly staff and lots of stock for sale and the staff are good with helping you if you need it.
Service is often terrible, if there is a problem then they don't want to know about it and they tell you to call Optus phone support.
I wouldn't bother with this store,
Pick another store or pick another service provider.
Optus aren't very helpful.
Have a phone that doesn't work properly and their system for handling a faulty new phone is horrendous.
Consistently great service, polite staff and an active willingness to assist has made this store the number #1 place I have ever been to to purchase technology. After visiting several stores to purchase my new phone, I was simply blown away by the top level of service I received from Optus. I even opted for a slightly more expensive product, simply because the customer experience was 100%.
Good to see there is still great service out there.
After a very long wait I was attended to by a very helpful sales person. My matter was quickly resolved, thank you.
Ive never actually been inside this store. It looks fine from the outside, I'm just reviewing because I'm so put out by the abysmal world cup coverage provided by Optus and need an outlet.
You really need to get it together Optus.
We had really good service in Geelong. The staff helped us choose the right phone - which wasn't one they sold - and made sure we got the cheapest plan that suited our needs. We were really impressed because it was such a huge difference to dealing with Telstra.
Anyone else finding they cannot actually get through to this store by phone? I've rang the right number multiple times and pressed every number on every option in the automated menu to try and get through. It just hangs up on me.
Was quick, efficient and great deal. No discrimination towards visa holders unlike their competitors.
I would not recommend Optus.there is no support. I waited for an hour half on the phone didn't get any satisfaction
Read the bad reviews and decided to go anyway. Got the plan I wanted, fast service and friendly. Glad I went!
Excellent service from the manager John. Two other staff were busy and he walked in from lunch and served me straight away. Got a great plan and great service. No complaints.

Poor customer service, wrong information given about the plans on the internet.told me it was "internet only " well it wasnt
A young arrogant salesman tried to tell my bf and I that he could not sign us up for a plan that was advertised on the optus website because it was an "online only" plan. (Lies) He also said he could not match the optus website deal because he liked his job and wanted to keep it. We left the store and came back in to talk to another optus staff member who did the sale & plan with no problems, except when we got home tablet didn't work because the sim card was in the wrong way. I WILL NEVER GO TO OPTUS SHOP IN WESTFIELD GEELONG AGAIN. Also there is no direct number to the optus shop so you cannot call to give feedback about their terrible staff or if you need assistance after you have purchased.
Hopeless sales staff. Not given copy of contract and not received a copy via email despite promise to do so. They completely failed to process properly the porting of my mobile number resulting in no voicemail facility
Had Joseph look after me. Very friendly and helpful and got everything I wanted. Very happy with the service. Cheers.
