Old Man Pho Southbank - Vietnamese Restaurant

Pho ingredients was fresh but the pho broth was below average. Didn't taste like authentic bone broth, tasted like packet pho. Very basic.

Food was really average for the price. Soup was bland, didn't come out hot and didn't have any depth of flavour in the Pho broth. Essential ingredients were missing due to running out of stock for the day even though it was only 7pm. Filling the bowl with too many vegetables and noodles and low ratio of protein as what I assume is a cost saving measure throws the balance of the meals off. Service is poor, servers don't speak English nor Vietnamese well at all.

Pretty standard affair. If you want something quick and easy, it's a good choice. But if you are after something top quality perhaps go somewhere else.

Great flavours. The staff were so helpful. So much fun eating here with friends. Saigon beer also. Yum all round. Brings back lovely memories of HCM City.

First ordered a Banh mi & Beef rice dish through an app. It was sensational! Second order tried the Pho ga & pork rice. Wow I was really impressed.

If you have been to Hanoi you will find the best Pho ga & Pho Bo in Vietnam. This Pho gave me a feeling of that, as the Pho noodles were actually very soft. They also have Hanoi premium beer too! Quality restaurant & service!

Beautiful food. Excellent service - Some items were not served, but mistakes can happen. No problem, but in such cases be nice to your staff! Do not berate staff in front of customers! That's bad management. Don't do it.

The food here is amazing and the staff friendly and helpful I just wish I was in Melbourne longer so I could eat there again will definitely be back I highly recommend

Worth finding and spending an hour or so eating some of the cleanest, tastiest Vietnamese food ever!

The food is so amazing and delicious, and the service just as wonderful! Will have to go back and try all of the other items on the menu. So hard to choose just a few!

Hidden behind the restaurants and the bars, the Old Man Pho in Southbank is a nice Vietnamese restaurant that even comes with Karaoke and a large outdoor seating. I love the way the building around forms a wall around the courtyard keeping the sunlight away and yet, keep the place cool. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous.

We ordered the Chicken Pho and trust me, medium for $13 is the perfect serving size. I have ordered the Vermicelli Crispy Pork Noodles.

I took my Aussie’s host family to Oldman Pho We had a crispy pork banh mi which is delicious and can not beat the hot beef noddle soup at Oldman Pho. We enjoyed the food and the staff are friendly and good service.

Fresh food, good atmosphere, friendly staff! The pho here is a must try with the da nang banh mi as entree! The lemon grass ice tea is great to relieve that thirst! What’s best is there is also karaoke in store! Will definitely be back again!
