Old Man Pho Southbank - Vietnamese Restaurant

Broth great but you only get 4 small pieces of beef and some other random meat (looked like pork chewy sausage and fatty pork bits). Won’t be going back.

Ordered their beef pho, and the broth was delightfully flavorful and aromatic, with a rich and well-balanced taste. I could distinctly taste all the individual elements, big fan of the spring onion flavor. Even though it was a delivery order, the meat was tender and the noodles remained soft and fluffy.

Highly recommended the best Vietnamese food in South Bank, the Pho taste very tasty in my opinion and I like beef rice or pork rice in here! I always extra eggs and fried rice with that ️the staffs so friendly

Duc is so passionate about his food and it is delicious! Prepared with such love- especially his yoghurt dessert and his avocado smoothie! Really great food! Will definitely return

Really nice little restaurant with great food! Perfect place to drop in and get a quick bite to eat and wash it down with some Viet beers.

What a disappointing, meagre $16 Bun. Most of the volume was a few lettuce leaves in the bowl, hardly enough for a meal. The carrots were a tiny pinch (barely 5 grams) and same for the cucumber. The sauce container was included in the bowl to make it look ‘full’ but nobody is fooled.

I give this an extra star because the tofu was warmed up and actually pretty tasty. But I expect a lot more when paying $16 for a meal.

Not coming back, which is unfortunate given slim pickings in Southbank.

Love this place. If you are looking for a good feed in Southbank this is the place to go. Great portion sizes and awesome staff.

I dont normally leave review but this restaurant is on another level! Food and service here is just so good. They have reasonable price and dont miss the cocktail!

Best pho in Southbank, especially because of the excellent meat quality. Flavoursome broth and tender beef brisket, what more could you want?
Spring rolls are tasty and fresh. Great banh mi too!
I love the avocado smoothie, not too sweet.
Everything was packaged perfectly for delivery and travelled well, so you can enjoy your meal at home or at the office too.

Came from Sydney to see F1 and the trip even better with this restaurant. Best Vietnamese restaurant in my opinion.

Awesome tofu vegan pho. Lovely, friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating. Down a little lane off the main walk along Southbank. Want to try the Banh Mi next time.

We stumbled upon this gem last night. Food is so tasty & very generous in portions. Our waiter Duc was definitely the highlight of our dining experience! Super friendly & went the extra mile to mix sauces for us individually was so lovely! Highly recommend this spot. Thanks Duc!

I came from Ballarat to visit Melbourne and we found this restaurant. We tried beef pho and marinated chicken rice and they are fabulous. The food and the service here is amazing. I wish I could spend more time here to try all of their menu. Highly recommended.

After a long drive to the city and then a big day doing activities with our 3 kids a good meal for dinner was next on the list and after looking around for some deliciousness we came across Old Man Pho, and was so excited it give it ago.
With a name like Old Man Pho and multiple other establishments in docklands and watergardens you would expect a certain level of quality and flavour BUT NO very disappointing experience. The broth was like something out of a pack of 2 minutes noodles and the meat quality was not up to par plus big chunks of vegetables to make up for weight is bad business in my opinion. Such a shame had an excellent time in Southbank but dinner was such a downer. 2/5 stars

This was a delivery order and it was sub-par unfortunately, ordered large Pho and it was the same size as every other pho I have got, ordered extra meat and the meat that came was about normal from other places. Broth was nothing special and I had literally 5 small Thai basil leaves.
At almost $10 more for the above it was pretty much the same as other places standard pho servings
Rice paper rolls fell apart and were packed so tightly that I had to eat them with a fork.
There are many better Pho places locally, I won't be ordering from here again
