Okra Restaurant reviews
26Had my birthday here and had the best time. Food was amazing and vibes right up there with the best. Everyone is so nice and the food selection was perfect for sharing.
Cosy restuarant in the heart of zebbug, great atmosphere, amazing food friendly stuff. Definitely recommend
Meal size small (lunch), the curry puffs are extremely small (almost a fake advertisement if you compare them against the photos), I consider it expensive if you take in count how much food you get. The attention is good and good taste
This place is a shadow of what it used to be when it was across the street. Food, was ok at best. Service, was ok.
The customer experience for booking is horrendous. I booked on Monday for a Wednesday night sitting. The reservation system spammed me at least 9 times to confirm? Ok, I get it, you want to confirm your bookings so you can plan ahead. But honestly 9 times in two days?
Overall i was disappointed. Okra used to be great.
Best Singapore Noodles ever, tasty, little bit of a spicy kick, absolutely delicious.
Staff are lovely too.
So great to come back to an absolute favourite! Staff were so friendly. None of the dishes disappointed either.thank you
This is our favourite restaurant for our monthly catch ups. The new restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a lovely atmosphere. The food is always fresh with wonderful flavours. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Disappointing. Food just ok. Rendung was good. Very small serve. Curry puffs were good. Dumplings were ordinary. Roti was sad and soggy. Un edable. And rice? You could more generous. Just don't re-heat our remaining in the microwave and same with roti! The worst roti. Mortified.
Taste authentic and delicious, and plenty of tea options. Love the Sunday’s special hand-roll Poh Pia.
If you want delicious Malaysian food you can try this restaurant.here is served the best dishes with a nervous manager.
Always great food at Okra! Freddy's service is serving to none. Highly recommend this restaurant!
A little place tucked away not far from Camberwell Junction. The staff were lovely and service was attentive. We shared dishes for entree and mains and they were fresh and delicious.
Super friendly attentive service. Happy to modify to individual preferences. Free table water. Reasonable prices and portions. The experience was great. Food - 4 stars, the excellent accommodating service gives it the fifth star to try to raise the ratings. It was a bit quiet on a Sunday night. BTW, you may need to take extra rice with mains as not always automatically given unless you order a rice dish.
Ordered Nasi Lemak via Uber Eats. Came in a Bento Box with 3 separate partitions. The largest partion half the size of the box contained the coconut rice which was seriously overcooked and resembled grey mash. The second partion one quarter size contained two curries, chicken and beef which were mixed to one homogenous mess, gravy thin and watery, wrapped in cling film. YUCK. The third quarter contained the akar and the soggy ikan bilis again mixed. Worst meal I have had in years!
Upstairs smelt terribly of cigarette smoke.
Service was super slow, 3.5 hours for our banquet.
Dirty glasses.
Confusion about whether vegetarian serves were coming and where they went when they did.
Communication was poor, service was inattentive.
Been there several times this year and was back last night with the kids who took me out for Father’s Day. Daughter and I shared a banquet while son chose vegetarian dishes. Staff were fantastic, pointing out the vegetarian options that were in the banquet that could be shared. Dishes came out one at a time and the staff were always attentive ensuring that our table had a steady supply. The meal itself was great of course!
Not good value. We ordered the ‘banquet’ & instead of getting a selections of mains we got served a tiny portion on a side plate, one at a time. $132 for two people, no drinks & nothing to take home. Wouldn’t go back.
I recently had lunch at Okra with a friend. The menu has a good diversity of South East Asian food. We shared the curry chicken roti and the Char Koay Teow mains as well as a mixed entree platter. Service was great, staff were very friendly and the food was good quality and a reasonable price. Both our mains were very tasty.
We absolutely enjoy our Asian fusion dining every time we visit. The friendly greeting at the door, fast service and quality food never disappoints. We have been visiting Okra for over 15 years and hope to visit for another 15. Thank you Freddy and staff
Very disapointed.
If you want to try the worst pad thai ever, then go to this place. No taste at all. We ordered paid thai for dinner, no one could eat it so we had to throw it away.
