Okami Japanese Restaurant

We are disappointed with this restaurant. It is advertised as Eat All U Can but we were told that portions are limited to the size of the group. We brought our 3 kids with us and they wanted to eat more ice cream but waitresses told us that we can only have 5 servings per flavor and they only have 3 flavors. Our sushi and sashimi platter orders also never arrived until we told the waiter after finishing almost all of our orders, only 1 serving arrived. Our receipts still reflected 2 orders. This is the not the first time our platter orders did not arrive, we just did not complain before. We will never come to this branch again!

We came to celebrate our Valentines day, this place was really busy and all staff with 200% of energy for serving. We booked the table but there was not on the tablet, one of the female staff who was extremely nice to find the table for us. She was so busy to carry the food and we could not say “Thank you” to her. She made my Valentine’s Day. Thank you so much

I adore this restaurant and the service is frequent and friendly. Food is beautiful and there is something for most people on the menu. You don’t have to be a seafood lover to enjoy Japanese cuisine. We came in a group of 7 and really enjoyed the experience and all left satisfied. Thank you.

Last couple of times i have been here i have been very disappoited. Beef was undercooked in spot one night. Another night they served burnt chicken, tonight my wife ordered a steak and it was not cooked and bloody through, stir-fry dishes were submerged in cooking oil. Won't be going back

Just been in to celebrate someone’s birthday and had a fantastic meal. Wait staff were very good at checking in to see if we wanted any more dishes and the food was delicious. First time at an Okami, will definitely be visiting this one again.

Overpriced main meal. This is the only Japanese restaurant in Melbourne that gives you the smallest amount of curry sauce with your chicken. Also the workers don't speak English and you have to keep repeating yourself over and over again.

Yummy foods, quick and friendly services! They were also very nice to offer senior rate for my parents at check out. Thank you.

At least they finally fixed the dangerous broken door but you have to pay too much for the smallest amount and all you can eat is just not worth it. Service is not great probably because they are underpaid and overworked. This place used to be very busy. Now it's empty.

A bit of mixed emotions over this placed. Found it a bit weired to pay 38 dollars for terriyake chicken and a serve of rice. Chicken was good in taste and quality and although the staff where friendly I don't think my wife got the right advice on the phone when ordering. Not sure if u will return. #tomekreviews #japanesefood

Mostly good except the beef dishes - they were all really bad, tasted like boiled beef and the same despite being different dishes! The shaved beef was inedible.

First time here and my family and I really enjoyed the experience. The food was of great quality and everything was superb and delicious. They were very fast with our order.
The staff were helpful and polite too being it was our first time she explained things clearly to me.
Definitely will be coming back.

Food is amazing and great value for money. The restaurant was a little loud but it was a busy night so that's to be expected. I will definitely be a regular visitor.

So far one of the best okami we visited.the service is so fast and all the waiters are accommodating.and the place is not so much crowded.and the spacing of the table are not that crowded.enough space for the people to enjoy and eat.

I'd like to apologise is advance as I did not take any photos while I was here. When you're at an all you can eat restaurant with an allocated amount of time you really don't have the time to be pulling out your phone to take photos, that being said the food would have looked great in photos so you'll just have to take my word for it.

I'm always sceptical when it comes to all you can eat and a great price, that one thought always stands out it's probably just okay but I can tell you Okami is far better than okay. I was satisfied with each and every dish that came to my table. I loved the simplicity of the menu and how easy it was to get your order in and continue to have orders taken. What's great also is they accommodate each dish to the amount of people who are eating which I thought was fantastic.

Big thumbs up to the wait staff who were super attentive and it was definitely far from a quiet night.
Huge thumbs up to the chef's who are definitely kept on their toes for the duration of their shift yet from start to finish the quality and service did not drop. It was much to my liking as I'm a big fan of Japanese cuisine.

With that said I'll definitely be visiting again soon. Great place for a birthday or if you're very hungry because it really hits the spot.

Went there for lunch, excellent service, orders taken and delivered very quickly, the food was hot. The only thing I can say that goes against the above was the service in cooking the food slowed down towards the end of the meal. BUT that was OK as it was excellent when needed at the rest of the time.

This Okami is not it. I was happy to see it open up in the area and all, and the staff were actually lovely. But everything beef tasted boiled and had a really awful flavour. Unlike other Okamis. That's really it.

Fast and friendly service, surprisingly good range of food available and reasonably priced. We will come back.
