Okami (Craigieburn) - Japanese All You Can Eat reviews
50The place is good.but when it gets buzy, the food can get mixed up with different dishes. That happened to me tonight. But all in all is OK, not fantastic.
Okami has fresh and delicious sushi!
I usually have takeaway and my go to is the chicken karage and salmon maki rolls
Never eaten Japanese food before, didn't know what to expect. The food was very good. Will go back again.
Delicious food. Great service. Reasonable prices as long as there's no waste.
All you can eat with well sized portions.
Intimate seating and lovely atmosphere.
Not a place I would take my family to again. The server tipped a tray of food on my son with no apology, no cleanup. I had to call someone over to clean up the mess. All you can eat? I don’t think so! You can order anything on the menu but only 2 at a time so we received 1 fried rice and 1 chicken karage (it only has 6 pieces on it) and for 6 people we were constantly waiting for food to come out. We paid almost $40 to get full on fried rice because the wait for food was ridiculous. Before you ask, no the restaurant was not busy. Best thing about the the visit was the jug of lemon lime and bitters.
Dirty dirty dirty!
I went for the five o’clock dinner session
The dirtiest okami I have walked into
The floor was sticky and filthy throughout the whole restaurant
Most of the food was just room temperature
The bathrooms accommodate for everyone but babies the workers couldn’t have cared less
Worst service ever food took over 35 mins to come and it wasn’t even pack won’t recommend to anyone to come here and when I told the stuff they keep saying 2 mins but never came won’t come again won’t recommend anyone unless you don’t mind waiting for ur food
Food very oily, service was ok but not friendly, the atmosphere is very noisy with all utensils thrown into a plastic bin close to the tables, the food is mass produced with not much taste
If you are looking for a place that is an authentic Japanese restaurant in Australia I would suggest to eat here. The food here is as authentic as it can get and for a place that is an all you can eat, you can try everything and then decided yourself what is for you and what isn't. My favorite there is the Chicken Katsu.
Average food.
Udon noodle was a let down. Barely any meat.
Edited:
I’ve returned a few times now and this time will be the last time. All you can eat has nothing to offer. All mediocre food and all carbs. The food are either salty or bland. Just disappointing experience. The only thing I actually like is the ice cream, but I didn’t come here for dessert.
Food was lovely. Slow getting out our drinks. Had to ask 3 times for them. Most of us had drinks but 4 drinks didn't arrive. Music quite loud at one stage.
Was stuck in a back corner, service was shocking we waited 2 hours for one of our 6 dishes, that was ordered as soon as we got there.
I had tried Okami a few times and I loved that. For my partner's birthiday, we could only get Okami Craigieburn giving us a table, so my first time trying Okami there. No complains about the food, but the service at Craigieburn Okami was far lower than what I saw in Epping. It was all you can eat, but no one appeared often to get customers' orders. Not sure if that day was a once off day or they do that all the time. Anyway, it was not a good all you can eat experience and preferably I will avoid going to Okami Craigieburn.
First time at okami in Craigieburn. Thanks to the staff, for nice friendly service.love their awesome food, and these nice gallery paper pictures
Great food for an 'all you can eat' restaurant. Everything is fresh and comes out quickly.
It’s a chain restaurant of all you can eat Japanese. You can also order a la carte. However, all sauces they served quite salty. Probably it encourages you to order more drink. Food quality average.
I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Okami. Despite having made a booking in advance, my party and I were made to wait in a long line outside the restaurant.
Overall, I would not recommend Okami to anyone. The poor service and long wait times, despite having a booking, were unacceptable
Great ambience, clean place, good food. Go to place for a family gathering as they have got the big function room to accommodate. Loved the 1st visit to this place
Food was delicious! Service was fast. Me and my partner could not stop laughing as we he over ordered and finished every bite. It was a very enjoyable Japanese experience. I would return for sure. Loved every dish.
- Food was good but service was not
- Being ignored by staff when we need to order
- Long wait time for food
- Wrong food was given
- Cap limit on some dishes when it's an "All you can eat"?
