Okami - Hampton

Too bad we weren't hungry, you can eat as much as you want and it's really good.

My wife and I have been coming to Hampton Okami ever since it was the original one and have always enjoyed our all you can eat experience unfortunately we went for lunch today and we left a little dissapointed. They usually have some background music on for some atmosphere but today it was off and it was a a really poor feeling. Also it wasn't busy but they cramped the people that were there into 1 section all sitting so close to each other it was quite uncomfortable. They also have a new ordering system on a QR code that we didn't really like and prefer the menu and service option. The program they use needs an upgrade because we selected a few items then went to confirm and the whole order disappeared and had to redo. The people next to us thought they ordered only to find after sitting there for 20 minutes with nothing coming to the table their order didn't go through, very frustrating. One last thing the food was yummy but slower than usual service probably because time of year but the lady that did meet and greet us and served us had little personality and seemed annoyed the whole time. Usually the staff are fantastic.

Great service - staff were very patient with our disorganised group.
Food and drink came out promptly, especially considering how busy it was in an all you can eat session.

Good food, with a variety of options that includes gluten free options.

Only problem was the high noise level. Was a cross between a rock concert and a fish market auction. Very hard to carry on any conversion across the whole table. But considering the food and service, it's a small price to pay.

We had a lovely night here - the food was extremely fresh and tasty and served very promptly. The only thing that let the evening down was the server who clearly didn’t want to be there. She could not have been more unhelpful or surly if she tried. Such a shame as the rest of the evening was terrific. We’d certainly come again for the food.

It was quite busy, but the staff were attentive. We never waited for more than 5 minutes between service. All dishes were very tasty!

It was a special occasion for us and we were very disappointed with the food quality. We have always loved Japanese food but most of the dishes we tried were greasy, tasteless and the sauces were too thick and didn’t have the zap of beautiful flavours that draw us to Japanese restaurants.

We won’t be going back.

Service was great, but the food tasted so fatty and tasteless. Katsu was burnt and everything else had that deep fried tasteless fatty thing going on. In the past I have found other Okamis to be quite delicious, but I'm just not sure I will be back in a hurry.

All you can eat option is a must, very friendly staff and a relaxing vibe atmosphere.

Highly recommend this place so if you're planning on doing the all you can eat menu, be sure to prepare yourself by skipping lunch to have a big dinner here.

Honestly don't understand how a "all you can't eat food restaurant" is booked out. Not really fair for the ppl who just want to be able to "walk in + dine in" but no. Got turned away cause it was booked out @ 7: 30pm.

Not to mention the step, nearly saw an elderly woman trip and hurt herself. Even though the "don't mind your step" is on the bottom but who's looking down?

If you want to go dine in; just head over to Chelsea Okami, they do walk-ins and actually serve you.

Won't be coming to Hampton Okami, because you will get turned away for not having a reservation.

Thanks for the food poisoning after Sunday nights dinner. Spent all day Monday violently I’ll vomiting and out the other end. Could of been the frozen rice sushi that’s pre made, that you put a slice of salmon on. Was undercooked when I bit into it or frozen. Or something else. Please make sure your chefs are dating food and that there is no bacteria lurking around your benches and containers etc.worst 2 days I’ve had in ages.

Was taken there for my birthday and we had a wonderful time. Food was quick to table, yummy and delicious.there was lettuce as garnish too!

Great efficient service by all staff at Hampton venue. Very professional. Food was great except for the packeted? Dim sims.
Desert menus needs to be upgraded as the 3 ice cream & green tea fish cake, has been on the menu forever. Green Tea & black sesame seed In ice cream not so tasty

I agree with other reviews. Patrons wanting quite enjoyable relaxed dining experience SHOULD NOT BE seated with party bookings, tables being so squashed barely holds the tiny bowl you eat out of. Didn't mind small serves as this eliminates food wastage.

Whilst okami right across its venues, cramming as many people as possible in each sitting, need to also bear in mind the comfortable dining experience. Customers having to constantly watch drinks that might get knocked over or the cutley falling on the floor making space on the table for other dishes arriving takes the enjoyment out of enjoying the delicacies

This place is fantatsic. Not only is the all-you-can-eat great value, the quality of the food and the speed of the service is superb. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. We felt like we got great value for money and left feeling full but not too full. I can't believe it's taken us so long to go but now we have, we'll be back very soon.

Wow wow wow. All you can eat. Literally tasted everything on the menu and found all of it to be fresh and delicious. The service was great.

Incredible food and service. It was a busy night and staff were so attentive. Food was fresh, hot and delicious, and there was a great variety to accommodate all different dietary requirements in our group of six.

Great value all you can eat, food is prepared fresh for each order and the quality is great for the price. Customer service is fantastic and plates were cleared quickly. Servers checked on us regularly and provided ample opportunity to order more dishes. Highly recommend as a great way to try a variety of food at a great price!

Very busy place- so maybe not for you if you want a quiet dining experience. Had the all you Can eat for ~ $38. Couldn't fault the food or the service. We were not left wondering when we can order next. Ended up ordering about four serves of the beef carpaccio- 10/10 recommend this!

This is a chain restaurant so they have other locations across the city.
