Officeworks Fitzroy

Worst customer service I've experienced. I'm always forced to use this store as it's closest and most convenient and service is always so bad, have to wait ages before someone even acknowledges you. Shocking on the phones too, don't even bother trying to call.

I went instore a couple of fortnights ago and was immediately disrespected by the manager, Brendan I think? He was rude and called me disrespectful.yes me, the customer. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!

If I could give the Officework’s Fitzroy Manager 0 Stars I would.
He was working during the afternoon of Friday 23rd July 2021.
I tried to exchange 5 rolls of bubble wrap that had been delivered to my house all soiled with thick amounts of truck dust inside them.
The manager said to me that because of the lockdowns he could not exchange them. Even though he had access to a computer and I had my receipt.
He said “we are only doing click and collect at the moment. ”
I asked him why he could not do the exchange and he kept saying “I just can’t”.

I said to him: “but you have access to a computer right there, can’t you scan the receipt and exchange the items with the ones you have in store? ”

He said “I just can’t. ”
He had no other reasoning behind it.
I felt like he just didn’t want to help because it was “too much of a hassle. ”

I will be writing a formal complaint to Officeworks corporate about this as well.

He had was making no sense and had zero customer service skills. Shame.

Every time I have been to this store it has always been a great experience but it was made even better today with the help of Joel who helped me with my printing. I will be coming back soon!

I’m pretty happy with just how fast my urgent order was processed this morning and during lockdown when click and collect is very demanding on the staff. Great job! Processed for pick up in 4hours! For that reason you are my favourite Officeworks and you are not even in my suburb.

With broken computer in hand at Officeworks Fitzroy I was expertly assisted by Duncan- he not only clearly explained my replacement options but also assisted me on how to make it much simpler to retrieve the important files from my old machine-

Click and Collect option is beyond unprofessional. I ordered something the day before to give them plenty of time to have it ready and even though they sent me a notification somehow my item was stashed away in their storage area and they couldnt find it. Took them close to half an hour whilst Im standing around waiting and frustrated. No place to even sit down whilst waiting. Had to constantly go up and ask the progress of my lost item. You would think being a click and collect service that they would have it ready in a designated area so they can hand it over to customers as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Officeworks stands for fat executive pockets with bad management all round.

Unreliable and very irresponsible team. I ordered large format print with lamination in the store. My job was measured by the team member and was informed yes it is possible and we will do it though it is not possible right now will be ready tomorrow midday. Next day 10: 00 am received a call saying the desired size is not possible it will be a little smaller. I agreed and ask them to get it ready. Around midday received another call saying the laminator isn't working and will take A LITTLE longer and we will notify you once ready. Till 6: 00 pm no one contacted me. I rung up 6: 00 pm and unknowingly spoke to manager she couldn't find the job after explaining the whole story she said she will find and get back to me. 8: 00 pm I had to call again another person who was not aware about the job. Explained to him again she then gave me news we can only print but cannot laminate as the laminator isn't working. I then asked about manager and found that she was the one I spoke before and showed a very irresponsible behavior by saying we have 48 hrs time for large format jobs. It was important print for me and much needed today did not expect this kind if attitude where no one even informed me that this job is not possible today.

Possibly one of the most appalling encounters I've ever had with a manager.constantly mocking team members, making the staff obviously feel uncomfortable leading to a terrible experience there, the manager Brendan treated me as if I was a nuisance and wanted me out of the store. I don't know how someone like this was hired to run such a corporation. Definitely not going there again.

Fabulous knowledgeable service. He understood what i needed and found it in that large store. Staff very courteous. Made me a happy woman

During stage 4 I ordered click and collect from my local store as I'm an essential worker at a hospital. Little did i realise how badly Officeworks would restrict its hours. The sign on the shop says trading til 6. I left work at the hospital early to get to Officeworks in time, arrived at 5: 40, then was informed by some fairly unhelpful staff at the door that no, click and collect has already closed (? !). And that despite the 5+ people queuing to collect their paid-for purchases it was somehow us that were wrong for having trusted the trading hours sign and the hours on the website. What an absolutely joke. Skinner dot gif it is NOT the customers who are wrong in this case, folks.

I just spent $57 on PDFs that must be sent out tonight, and the girl has scanned only every second page so they are useless. They do not have a message bank so even though her supervisor is working the printers til 9: 30pm tonight, I can’t even tell them what’s happened.

Isles need better signage, everything seems a bit disjointed, no clear location for the center of the stores computer section.

Prices bigger than anticipated, where similar products elsewhere are 3/4 the price if not more depending on what you are looking for, of course.

Terrible service! Big store but literally nothing in stock! I saw something online (from the officework web) I came in store! Ask them they don’t have it!
They literally have NOTHING IN STORE! Always say “we could order for you” then what’s the point of me coming in store if they’ll do an online order? !

- Store is clean
- Staff leave you alone
- Usually pretty busy
- Refuse to answer their phones if you call

Brilliant service, so polite and interested in what you have to do, so it shows that they are working hard and doing more than is required for the customers, I am unsure of the lady that served me, but she was beautiful! Hehe I know that's not something to earn a higher rating but, goodness, if she is single, please read this and reply! Hehe, but yes other than that, they got everything done for me with ease, pleased with Officeworks Fitzroy. Hope to visit again soon

Do anything to avoid coming to this place. Shocking service, staff and supplies. By far the worst officeworks

Not enough staff for printing, standing line of 6 people waiting to be served with 3 staff having a chat and not paying any attention. Talk to the customers, get the files etc and let them know how long it will take to print. Last time i ever try to print anything at officeworks.

Print and Copy always cripplingly slow, no matter what time of day I come here it seems that one person has a massive order and they can only cope by concentrating their service rather than having both kiosks open, which I know they can do. Severely unimpressed
