Officer Secondary College

So i'm a student at Officer secondary college and i have a lot to complain about it but i would like to remain unknown. This school has fair rules but the teachers don't actually apply with them sometimes. People have earphones in their ears in class, keep in mind this school doesn't allow phones out of lockers at all. So basically a large majority of students have their earphones in and the actual cord connecting to their pockets, like what do the teachers think, that the students have their computers in their pockets? Also one time i was late to class by 15 seconds and i got an instant detention, personally this rule is truly unfair and unreasonable. Then the next day a student came to class 20 minutes late with no reason (i confirmed that they had no reason) and they didn't get a detention at all, I confronted the teacher and asked him about and he just gave me excuses like "She wasn't that late". This school is honestly terrible. I was also new to this school and the teachers did nothing to help me make friends, they basically just threw me in and left me without any details on anything, i eventually made friends but the teachers were no help at all.

Terrible school! Unless you are placing your child in year 7, don't bother they put your child in and don't give them much direction on where to go, terrible for there mental well being

Highly recommend this school, The bad reviews are just the students who don’t follow the rules. The teachers overall are amazing and the lessons can be both engaging and also really educational. There also for the most part is no bullying and making friends is quite easy. Officer secondary college helped me both with my academic ability and also my confidence in myself. The teachers are always there for you. The classrooms feel like a safe space also. The school itself is a safe space. I highly recommended if you’re looking for a high school to consider officer secondary.

My daughter has only been here for a couple of months, but from what I see, the school and teachers are great.

From day one it has been a complete nightmare from bullying to teachers calling you daily to discuss matters about your child forgetting to bring a book to class. When you realise how bad this school is and point it out they look for reasons to blame your child for silly stuff. There are ways to handle bullying but I think the school actually encourages it.
Very disappointed.

I’m going to keep myself anonymous but this school is misunderstood in many ways, early year 6 I found out I was going to this specific school so I looked at the reviews to check if it’s a good school according to the reviews, coming to my surprise it was extremely bad. So I wasn’t looking forward to it. Although once I started school there it wasn’t bad at all, the teachers are actually great, the Camps are fun and you get to do lots of activities at that school, you’ll get the hang of the locks soon enough at the 2nd or 3rd day, i'm a few weeks into year 7 and the school seems better than people put it to be. The bad reviews are just some students messing around and none of that is true, this is a great school. I’d highly recommend this school if any parents that are looking for a high school to put their children in.
And for the people who are planning to go to this school and are afraid they’ll get a detention; I thought that if you’re even seconds late you’ll get a detention but that’s not the case at this school they’re not strict with detentions at all! They rarely give out detentions.
There food is great at the canteen and the subjects are really fun. Like wood tech you get to make any animal you want for the first few weeks in year seven, the teachers are extremely friendly and are interested to talk to you or happy to help you in any way. The library is one of my favourite places to be at snack and lunch, the books there are amazing and are 100% better than my primary school ones.
You get to use your laptop ALOT in classes. You don’t get a lot of homework, finish your work and you’ll be fine.:)
I’d recommend my way on getting to class on time, while you’re getting your snack and lunch get the stuff you need for the classes after, for example today I had Chinese and math after snack so when I was getting my food I grabbed my laptop, diary, pencil case and my Chinese and math book so I’m not late for class and don’t have to wait a while at the crowded locker bays.
Again, I highly recommend this school. ️

Its ok i guess

I mean there is a lot of fights and bullying here but the teachers help when they want too, which is rare I guess. Most of the students are big gaes and they need to be splashed with the holy water.thank you for your time

Worst school ever, I did not become an Officer after attending three years at this school. False advertisement.

Dose not follow up with problems a much as they should and the equipment is way to expensive for what they do they don't even use all of the book and pages in them

I am a christ lover and this school needs to be shut down. They are taking these kids down the wrong path which will eventually lead to the death of mankind because they are not teaching the kids the correct way. All kids there are down to their last brain cells. Also do not buy the books they are unnecessary my grandson Jefferson didn't even use it. Have a nice day skidamarink ka dink ka dink.xoxo

I am 100% not a student [ lol no ] i wanna neck myself when i see the school and i am extremely disapointed in 90% of the teachers first of all chinese cars and stars and cams and stams are irrelevent id rather do more math classes then cams where your with people you like we have stupid rules and overall i am suicidal

I got told to take my jacket off while i was going to get my bag from my locker to go home which wasted time as i needed to go to work and then i needed to go back to the office to then collect my jumper. This school is one of the most strictest schools ever i do not recommend it to your child im definitly not staying here next year

This school is actual trash you wanna know 1 of the rules you need to wear different socks for different seasons like what?

This is school terrible someone pushed another because of bullying and he got kicked of a sports team the rules are aids i got a detention for my shoes even with a note
