Ocean Grove Hotel

Took our daughter out for birthday lunch and were very disappointed at the lack of meal options and the service. We were told to order using the QR code, had to ask for cutlery when we got our meals. Sat for an hour after we finished our meals and no one bothered to come and clear our plates nor our empty glasses. Other tables around us were left with dirty plates on them also. As someone raised within the pub industry just the lack of service is enough to make me not return.

I must say this is such a wonderful location but I would love to see the in ground trampolines make a come back. Oh how I yearn to bounce on these wonderful contraptions. The whole family like to bounce. Up and down, up and down!
Please tell me you’re getting them back. You could do a bounce theme night people from miles around would come for a bounce and a pot.

Family birthday dinner. Good value meals. I had a large salad and it was delicious. Friendly staff. A nice atmosphere.

I don’t understand how, on one of the bigger days of the year, in the middle of the Grand Final, you close the kitchen. Unreal.

Very disappointed. Arrived 620, ignored for 30 minutes, went and ordered at the till. Asked an hour later where we were in the queue, told next up. 20 minutes and 20 meals go to 6 tables ask again. Oh, you are next. After a bit of discussion, and we'll refund your meals. 3 meals arrive, 6 go to other tables, finally 4th meal arrives 810.

Food was great, but 2+ hours for a pub dinner was mad.
When we were served, the only tables eating were second time round.

We had a couple of meals there last week. The food was far better than average pub food and the staff were friendly and helpful - even pointing out that the table in front of the fire was empty, which was welcome on a chilly night! We would gladly go back there again.

Fantastic meals at a good price, staff are wonderful nothing was to much trouble for the young lady that served us.

Fantastic food and friendly service. Always feel at home and have a cracking time every visit.

On a rainy winter night, it's a warm and inviting space. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is great and comes out pretty quickly. Fish and chips very tasty, pork cutlet tender and southern fried chicken burger is delicious. Well worth a visit.

Such a break down in communication it isn’t funny. Staff not to blame, but there is a serious need for an overhaul on how they operate. Booked a large group with baby chairs and were told on arrival that there were no baby chairs and we only had an hour for dining. Horrible communication and would rather eat in the McDonald’s toilet than return. Go somewhere else.

Food was terrible, dining area hasn’t seen maintenance in 30 years and when we split the bill we were charged twice for 2 of the meals after the rest of the group had left.

Funky smell in the beer garden, then we moved into the covered area so that we could order something other than pizza and chips. Ordering was by QR code only, and the supplied menu (which differed from the online menu substantially) didn't contain the gummy shark option.

The bar staff argued with me but I stuck to my guns and eventually was allowed to order it at the counter. For $30 I was served the most apallingly abysmal piece of dry, unappetising fish, some chips, and a tiny bowl of salad.

Can't recommend the food, although the entertainment (solo guitarist/singer) was outstanding.

Went to a birthday there had a great day staff were friendly and the food was pretty good do recommend

Lovely food in the bistro had 4 items on tasting platter. The service was very friendly and we had a cracking bread putter pudding for desert. Kids menu what else do you need!

Amazing service and meals. We were a large group celebrating a 60th and our waitress went above and beyond!

Meals were quite ok actually, so compliments to the chefs, but the service was very average.

Hotel very clean, waitress was quick to place us at a table but to take orders was very slow, my partner had to get her so we could place our orders.
Two of us ordered chicken schnitzel with gravy, chips and salad. Chicken schnitzel was overcooked. Hand dryer in ladies toilets was blowing out cold air.which was impossible to dry hands. Whole experience wasn't impressed.

If I could give zero stars I would. There was mould under our table we were sat right next to the bar and weren’t given a proper table to have our meal. We had ordered 4 dishes for $50 the chicken we had was dry, very little meat on the bone, the Panko coated pork belly was also burnt, we had a dipping platter with bread that was basically croutons it was burned and hard the bread could break a window if it was thrown at one. The only enjoyable thing we ordered was our drinks to forget the pain of the money we spent on these meals. Disappointed is an Understatement. Lost me as a customer absolutely disgusted.

Was impressed with the food, went above my expectations.

Had the 1/2 fried chicken which was delicious and crispy.

Had the lasagna croquettes which were very nice as well.

Price was reasonable.

Staff were very attentive and efficient.

Amenities were okay, need a little attention, they were out of paper towel and the hand dryer wasn't working.

Loads of parking out the front.

Kid friendly, the kids area is outdoors and limited.
