I have been seeing dermal clinician Sophia for vascular laser. She is skilled and professional which minimises any pain or post treatment downtime. Her advice is considered and I trust her with my skin. The results have been great!

Doctor Liu and her staff are very caring, professional and wealth recommending. My skin has had a transformation this year via seeing doctor Liu and using the QSwitch laser treatment.

I have had an excellent experience at Northside Dermatology - firstly for a mole removal on my face (no scar!) and then some Rosacea treatments with Xin, who has been welcoming, efficient, friendly (and is an excellent photographer) ).

The clinicians are amazing, its evident they really care about patients. They are welcoming, helpful and educated.

I just called this clinic to make an appointment on someone’s behalf per doctor’s referral to remove pigmented lesions potentially cancerous, from their face. The receptionist said the referral doesn’t have enough information (isn’t that the job of a dermatologist to assess what it is or diagnose?) and outright said, the next booking available is late next year and to go somewhere else. It was as if they didn’t want to be bothered or be accountable of the issue. All we wanted was a surfer to remove those legions.

Background info - I’ve been to this Fitzroy clinic myself (remove two moles which costed me over $700+ with out of pocket) and its sister clinic in Reservoir so many times, and never had issues making appointments. So to tell me it’s fully booked until late next year is just an outright lie.

Please avoid these two practices at all cost!

Scam this price, don't go here consultant fee is like 295 something, and you only get back 80 or 70 dollars back with, and the consultant fee is not including in the treatment very cringing price, sent through the photos to reception and they said they can do the treatment, but still insisting on must do consultstion, only reasons is to scam your money, don't go here

Dr Liu at Northside Dermatology are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and they took the time to thoroughly explain the treatment options available to address my specific acne scarring concerns.

The dermatologist recommended a combination of treatments tailored to my needs, and my skin has shown significant improvement since then. The scarring has visibly reduced, and my complexion looks smoother and more even. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I also opted for Botox treatment at Northside Dermatology, and I must say, the results are fantastic. The dermatologist injected the Botox with great precision, targeting my specific concerns while maintaining a natural-looking appearance. The staff and receptionists at Northside Dermatology were absolutely lovely! I had an incredibly severe flare up of eczema on my face and have made a complete turn around in just one week! I felt really comfortable and heard in both of my appointments. Even when understaffed due to sickness they worked effectively and were so friendly even under pressure! I had my first consult with Dr Liu yesterday.
Firstly all the staff I interacted with during my experience; from the administrative staff, to the nurses and the doctor were very kind and patient.
Dr Liu was very accomodating. Both professional and with excellent bedside manner. When it came to assessing and giving me options for my various treatments, she explained everything to me. When I left, I felt well informed and confident about my selected treatment options.
Overall it was a very positive experience. I look forward to retuning for my follow up in 3 months.

Dr. Mark Cicchiello is a miracle man. I first came to see him over two years ago now with extremely oily skin and severe acne. For 10 years doctors kept prescribing me topical treatments and antibiotics and nothing worked. As soon as Mark inspected my skin he diagnosed me and gave me the correct treatment that literally cured my skin - Accutane (not for everyone). It has changed my life. He really listens to you and takes everything into consideration, he is very thorough. I could not recommend a better doctor/dermatologist. I’ve been waiting all my life for this! Really life changing. I now have clearer skin than most people and always have great comments. It really has changed my life and I am so appreciative.

Was looking for a vulvar dermatologist and I found one. Dr Emma Veysey is an absolute gem at this clinic. Very knowledgeable and so very easy to talk to. She listens carefully, acknowledges any opinions you might have and is happy to discuss the options. You will definitely not feel like you are being rushed through your appointment when you see her.

After a few appointment stuff ups & arriving on the day to the clinic with a minor miscommunication, the team were so helpful and attentive for the best out come possible for me. I was able to be seen. The level of concern was above expectation! Thank you for making me feel so comfortable. I look forward to my follow up and the plan that’s been put together for me over the next month! I’m so grateful

I don't know why this clinic has such good ratings. I came in wanting to fix a recurring skin issue that from my own research turns out to be Malassezia folliculitis (fungal acne) at this point it was very minor. Before I figured out what it was, I came to this clinic and was prescribed Elidel cream (which I was not told was an immunosuppressant or warned about the dangers of long term use) And also antibiotics, which made things SO MUCH WORSE. As a fungus, antibiotics only exacerbate the problem. So it flared up and I went back for a 2nd appointment and was prescribed Roaccutane! This is NOT an appropriate medication for fungal acne and especially when it was not that severe. That should have never been prescribed to me and I'm glad I did my own research and did not take it. I am really appalled by the lack of genuine care and the inappropriate malpractice of just being given prescriptions for medications that would make things worse. This is basically malpractice. There was so many questions that they should have asked me to get a better of understanding of what the issue could be, but didn't. No questions, just damaging prescriptions. After doing my own research I've been able to actually diagnose the issue and improve my condition through my diet, using Finacea, red light therapy, and taking anti fungal herbs.

My appointment was set 3 MONTHS in advance. I arrived at 10.08 for my 10.15 appointment. At 10.56 I was ushered to a room to disrobe and await the doctor. She came in was pleasant and did her inspection. At 11.01 I was able to dress and return to reception to pay my $240.00. I was back in my car by 11.06 which means it took longer to pay the ridiculous bill than for the actual inspection. Make your own decisions. From someone who earns $35 an hour.

Have never reviewed before, this is my first time & sadly a bad one. After reading the amazing review about Dr. Liu, I was keen to go get my treatments done by her.

Initial consultation was great & so was the 1st treatment session. Yesterday was my 2nd session, and oh my…I am absolutely displeased to say the least.

Dr. Liu walks in & without even asking how I’ve healed from my 1st session, grabs my face & shines a light without any warning. I also recently had a scar revision done, so I had silicone tape over it to prevent infection & help with wound healing (as advised by my surgeon). Dr. Liu goes “what did you get done? What’s this? ” then rips the tape off without asking for permission…didn’t even offer to apply another tape over it.

When it was time for my treatment, I had asked her for a mirror so I can show her where I wanted the TCA Cross to be placed. As the last time she did it, she placed it on areas where I didn’t have my concerns & now there’s redness - when it could’ve been avoided if she had just asked.

She hands me a mirror & I show her my acne scars. As I’m talking she turns around & talks to another employee. I continued & she cuts me off and says “I think I’ll do it, let me do it”. Pretty much telling me to be quiet, as she’s the professional.

For one, I respect Doctors & let them do their job. However, it wasn’t like I was telling her HOW to apply the TCA Cross, that, she knows better than me - 100%. I just showed her WHERE I wanted the TCA Cross to be placed, as this was more of a COSMETIC treatment & I have the right to state my aesthetic input. It’s like going to a plastic surgeon for a Rhinoplasty consult & you tell the surgeon what you want to aesthetically achieve & suddenly the surgeon cuts you off by saying “No, I know what would look good for you. Your thoughts doesn’t matter, I know best. Let me do it”.

So I let her talk over me & do as she pleases. A few minutes later, she made a smear of the TCA Cross on my face & wipes it off immediately. I did not say anything. She brushed it off by saying “it’s just a TCA smear, it won’t do anything to your normal skin” (here I am now with a big red mark on my face).

In the end, she tells me “next time, make sure your session is booked with me. I had to come here for free”. I really don’t know what she meant by for free? I had to pay. Also, whether there was miscommunication between the receptionist & Dr. Liu, that is for them to sort out, not me. I did my part by informing the receptionist of my treatment & the details. Clearly this happens often as every time I go to pay, the receptionist/s doesn’t even know the quote. And I understand that every patient is different & costs are never the same. But please, make notes - communicate as a team & have better handovers. You don’t need someone like me who’s 4x younger to tell you this.

Very unprofessional coming from a reputable dermatologist. Such a shame.
