Noodle Canteen

I didn’t have high expectations for this restaurant. Looking from the outside, I didn’t like the look of it and the menu was over whelming. However, like the saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover. It is literally the best friend rice I have eaten and I have eaten a lot of fried rice.

I've been going to this place for a few years now. Before hand I always walked past it and never thought much of it, untill a friend recommended it to me. Once I tryed his rice I was hooked and I've been going back there ever since and haven't yet been disappointed. If your after good rice I highly recommend this place as there isn't anywhere in Ballarat that can compare. His prices are very reasonable and the service is great.

FANTASTIC FOOD! We moved to Ballarat from Melbourne and have still been looking for new favourite food places here and I can safely say this is now our new noodle place. Food is great, price is great, portion sizes are good and staff are wonderful! We have to keep supporting lovely little shops like this because their food ALWAYS tastes so much better than any of the chain shops.

(We had noodles and they were great and we got the rice to try as well and omg I could eat that fried rice every day, it was so good!)

Fantastic noodle Canteen loved the food and would highly recommend it not to expensive and plenty of parking. Will be back for sure. Great service as well.

If you are sick of western food in Melbourne, probably you can give this a try. Take a away or quick meal concept.

Best noodle/rice takeaway in ballarat by far. Anyone who injoys the noodle box ect i recommend going here instead as once you try it you'll never go back to the noodle box. Food is awsome and at a resonable price I tryed it once and just keep going back for more as there no where else in ballarat that compares

It was very yummy. Haven't had good noodles like this (from Ballarat). Was almost like being back in Bayswater! (another good noodles place of you ever over in the SE suburbs)

Hey food was awesome but when your smiling & a good customer, the proprietor needs to be a little more receptive towards their customers as I'm keeping it local, money in Ballarat so a smile wouldn't go astray

Really nice had a veggie meal for lunch soon good getting dinner from there tonight trying more this time.

Delicious and authentic Chinese food! I have travelled for a month in China and was so happy to finally find this place

We liked that they do not use MSG ingredient. Ordered 2 different noodles as dine in. Non-plastic plates appreciated. Tasty but less veggies in it only. Great service so far.
