Authentic Greek Restaurant with food that's super tasty, full of variety, very fresh and well priced. And it's in our neighbourhood of Croydon! Lovely people as well.

Normally I am a massive fan of Nikos Tavern food but this time so disappointed, we ordered a lamb dinner pack normally comes with chips ended up with salad that was in with the lamb the dressing was everywhere the lamb was very salty, it was packed in a paper bag (which is great) but something leaked in there created a hole and when picked up out came everything. So think it will be awhile before I go back and when you order there is no where to make choice of flavours on the dip like there used to be and no choice of salad or chips.

We were missing chips and a drink out of our order tonight and sent out something that was not what we ordered to find out they have changed this item but it doesn't stipulate that

So I politely ring up to mention this and have the staff arguing that it was there when it wasn't and then accused by the owner that it was all there when it wasn't so sick of being told that im wrong yet I have the item infront of me

Never again will I be eating here or giving them business my family used to buy from here all the time but not after tonight

Been at Nikos a few times now, really miss the dine in due to covid. But they still turn on a feast with the double meat pack of lamb and chicken which is awesome value.

Been going for years, needs a facelift and food is good sometimes and cold other times. Owner treats junior staff members poorly, and lacks customer service skills. I certainly wouldn't recommend the place for employment.

Always a pleasure to go for a Takeaway. Super fresh and healthy food. The chef, owners, manager basically the entire team is super super friendly

Good food as usual. The drinks took so long to come out we were ordering 2 at a time so we didn't have to wait.

With out doubt the worst service I have ever encountered
Made a booking and were made to feel like a third rate customer
No one had the decency to even look at us let alone service us
No charm whatsoever

If you want an amazing Greek feed then this is the place. Generous servings of juicy and tender lamb, excellent fresh seafood platter, homemade dips were unforgettable. Finally the different deserts finished off an excellent dining experience.unbeatable in the Greek restaurant experience.certain to return.

Ordered in store quickly delivered lamb souvaliki wraps unfortunately for us luke warm and meat extremely salty. First and lsst time for us

Staff are nice, food is just ok.

The size of the food is off by a mile, 50p/h $100 for 2 people and they give you literally 2 calamari rings 1 each? Come on do better than that.

Small amounts of meat to share too 1 tiny bit of sausage each, 1 bit of everything each expect the chicken and lamb but even that is small.

Wouldn't be rushing to go back any time soon.

The staff were nice and polite, but we had to keep asking for them to clear the table. Quite run down inside and toilets not maintained. Food was OK for take away standard but not for dine in standards.

We ate here year's ago and had a great time. This time we took our kids for a Greek banquet and we're disappointed. The service was good at the start. We had a friendly waitress, but after the first few courses it took a long time to get our next dish. The entree of dips and antipasto had a strong vinegar flavour. The meat was tender, but salty. The seafood was greasy and served cold. For dessert, we were served grapes that we're brown and going mouldy.
It is a shame that this place has changed so much since our last visit.

The food and service exceeded my expectation. Very good size of both takeaway and dine in food.

Btw traditional greek dancing and dish-breaking every Friday and Saturday night and everyone can join. Really enjoyed the vibe! Well done Nikos Travern!

Great experience, big serving, staff is professional, Unique & interesting interior, smoothing music. Very big fish pound.

Waitresses were nice but food. Not so much. Have been here in the past multiple times and the food was great, but this time we were given old tasting dips and spit cut meats which were warm-cold temp and very fatty. We all had upset stomachs after dinner which was not pleasant

Have been here for the first time with my family.
I would say, I could not find a single flaw starting from booking to getting out.
Staff was great and throughout smiling.
Food was delicious, traditional Greek, lots of food, good portions and wide variety in veg and non veg as I am a vegetarian and my husband is a non vegetarian.
Ambience was great. Music was great.

My 2 yr old daughter had her first babyccino at yours and she said yummy.
My mum was also so happy with the food, be it fresh greek salad, grilled veges, fresh dips, yummy deserts.
My husband loved the seafood, dips, meat.

We were all looking forward to a great night out but were very disappointed. After arriving at the restaurant we waited several minutes as staff walked past us until someone acknowledged our presence and showed us to our table.
First round of drinks were delivered after us having to call out to a waiter. The drink service then continued to be poor as we had to get up frequently to go to the bar as we couldn’t get anyone wait staff to take orders. Even when we did go to the bar our drinks either didn’t arrive or took quite awhile.
Food was good but each course was served far too close to the previous course. We did ask for them to be slowed down so we could enjoy each course, but this request was ignored
The band started and that ended our get together for a chat. We had to literally scream at each other. One of our friends suffers a hearing loss so he had no hope of hearing us. We did ask the wait staff if the volume could be reduced or could they just play brackets so at least we could have some time to talk but this request was ignored. We continued to be blasted and the music went on and on and on
We love Greek food and have been to many Greek restaurants but will be giving this one a big miss
After reading after reviews we can see that we are not the only one to complain, especially about the band Perhaps management should take notice of these reviews
After waiting at least 20minutes for the ordered coffee we left after deciding we would not be back.

I have never given a place such a low score before and really feel bad but I had to give it to this one. I have been to Nikos Tavern many times before and it has always shined through. Although the staff were great the portions of food were not. It was tasteless, very oily and overpriced. The pita bread was probably the only thing that was good. The dips were very oily and did not have the same taste as they should. The meat was dry and also bland. We actually asked for more lemon to squeeze ontop. We also had bad stomach pains afterwards. I do hope they pick up their act because I really enjoy going there but for now they have lost me as a customer.
