In terms of quantity, there was plenty to go around. Not once did we worry about running out of food. They ensured that each guest felt satisfied without any sense of scarcity. Yet, no waste was at sight, just proof of excellent portion planning.

Moreover, there was an undeniable attention to detail with their packing. Each dish was packed securely, helping to maintain the integrity and warmth of the food. It made serving a breeze and clean up just as easy, taking another worry off our minds during the event.

I can wholeheartedly recommend their catering services, whether you're planning an intimate get together, or a larger event. Irresistibly tasty food, generous quantities, and first-class presentation are their standard, and trust me, it doesn't get better than this.

Overall food was fresh and good variety available. Rice portion was a little too small. Friendly service with a smile.

Ordered via Uber Eats. There was one small piece of chicken, no gravy, and something that possibly once resembled mushrooms? Confusing, needless to say I was totally disappointed.

How hard is it to serve some lentils, or potato and a decent serving of curry with gravy. Possibly the worst Sri Lankan I've ever had.

When i entered the restaurant i could smell the aroma of food, Kothu parota is to die for! Fried rice with prawns was quite disappointing coz prawns was not cleaned at all, we had to remove it and eat. Also you get Lion beers here.

Pretty good place for lunch. Fairly cheap. Good tasting good. Lunch plate with rice and 1 meat and 2 veggies is good price. Store owner is very friendly and nice guy. Food is spicy and good kick. Only complaint is roti bread is a bit thick and stale.

Hop & Spice Sri Lanken restaurant we visited 5 years ago recomended by my brother Errol, was one of the best Resturen to be with friendly service, fresh & tasty food.since 5 years revisited them this week the were pretty consistent the food & service is still the best, I recomend you should try them out.

The best comfort food. Takes me back home to Chinese Dragon Bambalapitiya. The staff are super friendly and the owner Chamal is a people's person. Happy to accommodate our requests anytime. Nothing is too much.

Had Hop and Spice provide catering for a family event over the weekend after hearing my Uncle’s great review. I was incredibly impressed with the quality, quantity, taste, flavours, freshness and service which was also very much enjoyed by all our guests from various backgrounds. The food from Hop and Spice was delicious and I am still enjoying the much sought after left overs today. I highly recommend Hop and Spice to all and will be taking my friends who want to try authentic and wonderful Sri Lankan food here. We arrived from Canberra, and staying nearby found Hop & Spice. Absolutely delicious food - fresh, succulent and tasty. Also, lovely staff, so we will drive out of our way when in Melb, to eat here again! Thanks for a lovely meal!

An unimposing shop on Ballarat road. The food in the Bain Marie is tempting, especially the pan rolls. On the menu the main dishes are cheap and generous. The service at the counter was a bit of a schamozzle, but eventually all orders were taken and take aways distributed to their customers. The food is outstanding and the kotthu roti was the best I've tried in Melbourne. The constant stream of Indian and Sri Lankan customers through the door is testament itself to the authentic flavours.
