Nevsky Russian Restaurant

A few weeks ago this restaurant had a sign with some lemons, the words being 'The only vaccine you need are these and a bucket of concrete'. When I asked the waitress and let her know a relative of mine had passed away from COVID and that I found this very distressing, she laughed and shut the door in my face. This is so distressing. I hope they close down.

Excellent restaurant, let’s you buy vodka and other spirits by the bottle. And believe it or not the Russian food is actually good, not the rubbish столовка style rubbish you get in other “Russian restaurants”. Music is also good, mix of the 90s and 2000s Russian pop hits but also the modern stuff like Макс Корж.

I had a really great experience.ordered the Chef's table for 2, which took us through entrees, main course and dessert.just the right quantity in my view

the food is good, especially if you have an Easter European background.but it gave me the impression that they cook it with care

Service was very good. For food, the dumplings were very tasty, duck was good but the pork was a bit dry. Overall a good dining experience.

My friend ordered the Chocolate Blini while I ordered the Cherry Blini for dessert. We both thought that they were "to die for" and vowed to come back just to have the beautiful desserts again! We also found the service to be excellent.

Nevsky is another restaurant (eat at home) ticked off the bucket list! Their menu sounded appealing and so a selection was made that was most enjoyable. Will definitely try more dishes another time when I fancy Russian cuisine!

Visited for the first time with my family. We had the banquet and were extremely happy with what we received. The food was amazingly good and the service was exceptional. I will definitely return.

The food was amazing. The staff are friendly, helpful. They make you feel comfortable and welcome.

It was our first time trying Russian cuisine and the experience was really fantastic. Our table was served by Nikki, she was extremely lovely, talked us through what we should order and how to taste Russian food. We had Olivier Salad, Borsch, Stroganoff, Sibirskie Pelmeni. The food was really delicious. After the main meal, we just couldn't say no when Nikki suggested a dessert. We had Sladkie Blini and were not disappointed at all. Would definitely come back to this restaurant soon.

Excellent food. Easily the best waitress I've ever had, even though she was working alone. Obviously a family business and it's beautiful.

Delicious food and good service at this authentic looking Russian Restaurant. Excellent ambience yet casual at the same time.

Hubby & I went for the ‘chef’s table’ banquet which is sharing style (only way to eat in my opinion) ; it was served over four spaced out courses which we thought was great. They explained each dish as we had no understanding of Russian food. Generous portions and they packed what we couldn’t eat (& kept it in the fridge until it was time for us to go). We ran out of time for the fourth course as our fur baby was with the sitter so they packed our dessert for us also. Service was just amazing!

We will be back very soon & will recommend to our friends so they can try out Russian food too:)

What a great place to have a nice dinner with your friends! The food is amazing: our favorites were the duck and the rack of lamb.
And not only the good is good, the service is fantastic!

Priced highly. Lots of fancy stuff, but unfortunately wife couldnt have any of the fancy raw stuff (carpaccio, caviar). Got the polish sausage which was large and filling, on a bed of mash. Red cabbage nice and sweet to offset the salty savouries. The russian meat dumpling well made and filling.

Absolutely terrific food and atmosphere. Highly recommended if traditional Russian cuisine is your thing.

We had an incredible take away meal recently and will definitely be back for more. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Overall our experience at Ресторан Невский (Nevsky Restaurant) was ok. The home-made family recipes including the Blinichki блинички with mushroom filling were really nice. The Apple crumble dessert recommended by the waitress was also very nice.

However, the other items in the menu were fairly average considering the setting and price range. Very limited vegetarian or vegan options. We called ahead and were reassured the restaurant was vegan friendly to order from the menu.

Upon arrival, we were served by the same waitress we spoke to over the phone. Although she seemed energetic, we were both shocked with how she spoke to us in person. We asked her if she could point out the vegan options to us; to which she said “. As I told you on the phone” and hastily pointed to the limited options within the menu. I found this condescending especially given the setting.

The vegetarian or vegan friendly options included only one main meal.

The other waitresses were fantastic, including a waitress whose grandmother wrote the restaurant cook book. The cultural headdresses they wore were beautiful to see.

We actually ordered every vegan and vegetarian option including sides and entre’s and still left feeling hungry
