Nest At Waterways Cafe reviews
43 1 small long black, 1 cup ice coffee with soy, guess how much?
$16.
It wasn't even public holiday rates!
On top of that came with cream which I didn't ask for.
Food is excellent! People are very friendly and the view of the lake is amazing and ever changing
Good food, plenty of it. Chips could have been better. Great setting on the lake with views and ambience.
Nice view, nice cafe but staff very poor customer service. Doesn't even bother to clean the table and just served the food not acceptable even if they are busy they need to practise cleanliness especially with covid. Never come back and will not recommend.
Poor customer service and cleanliness is a must.
Nice location and staff are mostly friendly, the service varies, sometimes it is quick and sometimes not but definitely overpriced on a number of items for the quality they provide. Our table was told to clean up after ourselves which I think is the first I have ever experienced this anywhere in the world! Pretty disgraceful and rude.
Great location
Licenced cage on the water.
Open for breakfast and lunch.
Nice menu
What a beautiful café. Talk about a great location! Excellent coffee and HUGE menu, fantastic service and stays open later than any café in the area. That’s worth a 9 out of 10 right there. Go, sit beside the Waterways Lake and chat to the water birds. You’ll love it.
One of the best cafe in the Melbourne. Very friendly Staff. They provide the best service. Must try.
First time visiting here, one of the workers I believe had an Indian background was very rude to us because we didn’t know where to order from either the counter or from the table. And after when we explained it to the owner he was being abusive and actually swore at us saying getting out of the restaurant, when I said I’ll call the cops because I haven’t done anything wrong then he went away… he was backing up his rude staff and was saying I will support my staff more than my customers etc.definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend as the staff is very rude and unprofessional acts like they giving you the food for free.
Only dropped in quickly for a takeaway coffee, but the menu looked good and is now on my list of places to visit once the craziness is over.
Lovely place to sit and eat/drink with a view of the water and Swans. Dogs are allowed on the outside part of the cafe which is a plus.
Home/freshly cooked food is great but downside the meals are massive so taking away wasn't fun and obviously takes time to make.
Tucked in the heart of waterways, their backyard opens into a lake. Great place to enjoy some coffee n nibbles whilst being close to nature.
Lovely to sit and have a cup of coffee and look over the lake. Very peaceful. Good service and food. An ideal place for breakfast or lunch.
We have lunch at Nest on average a couple of times a month and have been doing so for many years, this place is superb, food is 10/10 and the views are magic.
Very friendly staff, yummy milkshake, but whoever made the garlic bread has no clue on garlic's potency, I could have repelled ever vampire from Victoria and Tasmania! Even the next day!
Great place for coffee and a good walk around the waterfront. Love their fruit salad and yoghurt, always so fresh. Their menu is decent and it tastes pretty good for something that is prepared in such a tiny kitchen. Would highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for some nice scenic cafe.
Can't recommend this place enough, I've been coming here for almost 5 years and I'll continue to come here. Location is prime with a great area to have a walk after an amazing breakfast and coffee. Staff are always nice and prompt to serve you
I have an interesting story to share about this cafe and a the wonderful owner who has a heart of gold. I was in the area for a job and had a gap between my second job. I walked into this beautiful cafe and realised that I didn’t have my wallet. I went back to my car and managed to find $8. When ordering I asked the owner (who was serving me) whether I could get a coffee and mentioned I didn’t have my wallet so would $8 be enough for a banana bread as well? He said don’t worry about that and tell me what you’d like to eat. I mentioned that I didn’t have money and had forgotten my wallet and he insisted that I have whatever I want from the menu. I ordered an eggs Benedict and a coffee. I was absolutely scrumptious. Thank you to the owner of this cafe for showing kindness. It’s such acts that make the world go round!
It was ok but my friends meal was too cool. Mine was ok too; but nothing out of the ordinary. Nice walk around though!
This ‘out of the way’ cafe is a firm favourite with the local coffee set. The cafe is Nestled (Pun intended) into the banks of a very picturesque little lake brimming with bird life and affords this little nook to be a destination of choice to unwind and have a drink and a snack. Food here is on the ‘better than good side’ with portion sizes that will satisfy the peckish diner. On our latest visit we tried one of their vanilla lattes and I have to say it was near perfect. There might be better options around the area, however the coffee, the dining and the views make this place a definite option for a relaxing coffee and a chat.
