Neptune is a moody and modern Mediterranean wine bar located just off Chapel St in Windsor. The team here also brought you @tokyotina_ and @santelmomelbourne, so you know already it’s good. Picture saloon style booths, cafe style street seating, a fireplace and moody lighting.

The cocktail menu is brilliant highly recommend the Pampered but there’s an option for everyone and great selection of refreshing Spritz’s. The food menu is innovative mostly consisting of small plates perfect for sharing.

The Saganaki was so good, paired with honey it’s a match made in heaven. The Scarmoza and Nduja Jaffle is a must and packed some good heat. It’s tough to ever go past a Burrata, mopped up with their fluffy Potato Focaccia bread you just can’t get better than that.

Being Italian, Beef Ragu is usually the last thing I will order when I’m out. However, I was craving it and boy did it hit the spot. What is usually a basic dish was so full flavoured, I was truely impressed. Like always, get the Crispy Potatoes.

The menu changes often so some of these options may no longer be available, however I have full faith that there will be something else just as good. Perfect spot for a date!

Love Neptune, the food is always amazing and the staff always friendly and helpful. Definitely a favourite!

Service and food was wonderful. We did the set menu which also accommodated for dietary requirements and had lots of food! Loved the vibe of the restaurant, would definitely come back. We had a group of four in the booths which were very comfortable.

Fabulous food, the green rissotto and spaghetti with snapper crab just so good. The eggplant entre was especially lovely. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Missed out on dessert as going to a show at Chapel off Chapel and will definitely be back.

Sensational food, the pasta was some of the best I have had and the lamb shoulder just melts in your mouth. You would not be disappointed at all. The service was welcoming and warm. The attention to detail from the waiters when it came to the food and wine couldn't fault.

We will definitely be back again with family and friends. You have gained your self some regulars from now on.

The next day we had a follow up email thanking us fot coming in. The smallest of details makes you feel like you are appreciated as a customer.

Every thing that we ordered was beyond delicious! Potato focaccia was unbelievable, as was the stracciatella (highlight for me). Mains are just as beautiful. And lovely wine to go with! The place had a modern but also cosy and moody vibe, we sat up the back in a booth which gave us some nice privacy but still enjoyed the space. Highly recommend!

I understand that during covid bookings are tight but being constantly reminded by our waitress throughout our booking when we ordered our food and drink quickly leaves us feeling disappointed, especially when we spend so much on good food which we struggled to enjoy as we felt we were being hounded to leave

I had my 30th in the private dining area on Saturday night.

The event was flawless! Mel was great in the lead up to the event, helping plan and accommodate all dietary requirements for my guests.

On the night Rachel was incredible and looked after everything, the night was smoothly.

Food was incredible. 10/10.

First time back here in a few years. Really lovely evening. Attentive and friendly service, great wine (only had the Gippsland Pinot Noir, but it was superb) and excellent food. Busy, but in a nice and subdued way. Absolutely will be back again soon.

Went for a private dinner time party upstairs that catered for approximately 60 guests. Good atmosphere, staff and decor. Only issue seemed that food started coming out a bit late into the night (all of those drinking were getting drunk on empty stomachs). New courses appeared when most of the guests had left.

Neptune is the perfect venue for a luxurious night out. The bartender, Allan, maintained the perfect service, was full of well timed banter, and made me feel loved.

5/5 A killer vibe

Went for 1 drink at 8pm was seated and served water quickly. Then the wait to place a drink order starts - 20 minutes goes by so my partner goes to the bar to order and is told to sit back and someone will come over, no one comes. My partner then grabs the eye of a waiter who doesn't come over so she gets up and goes back to the bar - told to sit down and someone will come over somebody does after another 15 minutes. Drink order placed and drinks come in another 20 minutes - to top it off they didn't have the wine on the drinks menu.

My meal literally tasted like liquid sunflower seeds (couldn't taste anything but that) and my wifes pasta tasted like tea. Not to mention meals took a long to arrive for the 4 of us. Waste of a drive and a waste of money. Won't be coming back.

The food was amazing, the chefs do wonderful work there. Great wines and cocktails, However this isn't an intimate setting or place to eat as we thought. Very close tables, loud music/ people.
Kinda like a nice cocktail bar that served good food.

Pros: Atmosphere, potato focaccia, and rigatoni was delicious! Drinks are good too.

Cons: Some of the food like the risotto and the octopus had too much going on so I wouldn’t recommend for people who prefer something more simple

These guys are amazing and completely saved the night for our small team holiday gathering right before the holidays. I called last minute to see about coming in, needing a table for 8, as the restaurant we were at had lost power suddenly. I had a team of 7 hungry and thirsty folks I needed to sort. Nick (I really hope that is his name as this was pre-holiday and several weeks have passed;) was so accomodating and knew precisely what was meant when I said "keep it coming! " The food, the wine, the vibe and service were all amazing for our larger group, and I'm so appreciative for their willingness to help out and make it happen at the last minute. Saved the night and a great time was had by all! Thank you immensely!

The staff were lovely and had great recommendations! The food was super yummy and the service was friendly and prompt. Would definitely visit again.
