Nene Chicken The Glen

Had good expectations for the fried chicken here since I saw a lot of people eating here. The food was not fresh, though, and made us sick.

This is the worst chicken I ever tasted. The chicken was cold and dry I brought it back to the counter. They refried them again and serve to me. The staff was rude and didn’t bother to rectify the problem. Never go back again.

The fried chicken was really nice,
The service was quick enough
But there were no napkins available.
And I don't think I've ever sat in such a filthy eating area.
Customers were having to call staff over to wipe tables, considering the amount of covid signs still up in store, you would think the staff would take hygiene seriously

Went yesterday for the $1 chicken wing promo, thought it was $1 per box too good to be true but asked the staffs before ordering and BOTH of them confirmed that the deal is $1 per box. Upon payment, they changed their words and said that it is $1 per wing or drumstick. Very disappointing communication when we have double checked with two staff members already. Almost baited into buying $140 worth of chicken. Even more disappointing was the SIZES of the chicken specially the drumsticks were just the size of my thumb. How is it worth a dollar each? DEFINITELY A WASTE OF MONEY.

WE ARE INFORMING HEAD OFFICE THAT SEVERAL OF THESE NE NE CHICKEN STORES CLAIMED TO HAVE RUN OUT OF CHICKEN AT 7PM. I SENT OUT SEVERAL PEOPLE TO STORES AROUND MELBOURNE. ALL CLAIMED TO HAVE NO CHICKEN LEFT AT 7PM 15/8/22. OF COURSE THEY HAD CHICKEN LEFT. THEY WERE TOI LAZY TO COOK IT.

We craved for NeNe fried chicken. (Original) They always come in the right size, crispy and juicy. But recently (3rd June 2022) we ordered the usual (20 Pieces Original) and the portion has shrunk in size. It's like you have paid for the "large" and you are getting the "small" and not even "medium". Not sure if we are going to have NeNe again.

I don’t live close to a nene chicken so I travel a decent distance to get it. The food is amazing and affordable, I’ve never been disappointed. Always hot and crunchy:) customer service has also always been great

Very bad customer service, waiting 25 minutes for my order, the people ordered after me had been served.when I asked the staff why they ignored my order the answer was I have to Wait more few minutes, they never say sorry or offered anything, unfriendly and rude staff

In a very big fan of this franchise. Yummy chicken dishes. Give it a try when you're famish and craving for chicken in The Glen.

Although i give the food a 6/10, the place is severely understaffed.one person on the till, plus giving out food.the queue to order is 15 persons long at peak hour and the wait time is 30-40 minutes.poor girls running around handling 3 things at once.ridiculous for food court standards.stop being stingey and hire more staff!

The chickens are very small and I had to wait more than 30 minutes. When my order ready we need to wait fir the staff around 10 minutes before they giving us the food And by the time we get it the food is already cool.

Just placed an order, and the status said “order failed. ” That’s fine, but I was still charged. I tried calling the store (three times) but no one would answer it.

Absolutely loving KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and nene chicken has one of the better choice for lunch boxes

The chicken might be good but don’t come here expecting even a reasonable level of customer service. Lady at counter should probably not be customer-facing.

Dined in last week and I loved the chicken here, crispy and very tasty. Cannot recommend enough.

Long delays to get food. Poor lady working at customer service is under the pump. Order I got was wrong. Ordered Mala 12 pieces wings and drumettes and got 4 wings and only realized after arriving home. Very inconsistent with the mala sauce as we have had it three times and sometimes not much sauce, sometimes not spicy. Looks like they are trying to save money (understandable) but at cost of quality and consistency)

Perfect place to go for your fried chicken fix when shopping, good variety of flavours to choose from.

Great for groups - as the price hike is quite steep. The more the merrier, interesting flavours of chicken.

I really like Nene chicken but the quality of their food and service varies from store to store.

I had their Wednesday special at this branch in the eerily quiet food court at the Glen. For $9.95, I had 3 pieces of chicken, chips and a small drink. I was keen to try their mala sauce but this required an extra $2. The sauce was quite disappointing. It was very diluted and had very little spice in it. Definitely not recommended. Service was quite slow given that there were no customers before me.

Not the best Nene chicken store.
