Honest, rustic, delicious food. Vibey, friendly, upbeat ambience. A true take of the essence of modern Australian. Neighbours cafe is my wife and I’s local favorite cafe in Melbourne for these reasons!

We live overseas but actively talk about how we’re going to visit here every time we return home.

Neighbours is my favourite local cafe. All of the team there are so friendly. I love the atmosphere and the food too! Bring your friends both 2 legged and 4 legged as the back part is pet friendly. Highly recommend

High quality food and drinks, whether it is breakfast or lunch. Try the pumpkin dish or the burger. Great coffee. Only issue is that the servers can forget orders, and you end up waiting long. But good food trumps all.

I was very happy with my experience here. I had a fresh fruit juice and chicken salad. Both were extremely fresh and delicious. The serving size was very generous. There is a huge amount of choice on the menu. Service was excellent and the artwork in the back was cute. Il def return and I highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Just popped in because I was in the area. But really enjoyed the food and service. Looking forward to coming back. Some great vegan and veggie options on the menu.

Staff were miserable, eggs are pre cooked, oil is off, bacon is chewier than my leather belt and coffee tasted like the sewer. Use to be good but not anymore

Food can be a hit or miss at times but doesn’t take away the 5 star quality of everything in between.
Feels like being invited to someone’s backyard for a coffee/brunch.
There’s also a lovely local lady who frequents the cafe with her bengal cat.
If you like cats/dogs, community vibes and good food portions then this is the place for you!

Poor customer service.the employees at this cafe don’t greet you well or talk nice when asking order. I live local and many of my friends and neighbours choose to walk or even drive further away for their coffee and breakfast.

I have givin them a few chances as it’s next to my house and I thought the first couple times might have been a particular incident but the staff are constantly depressed, distant, rude and barely acknowledge you when you walk in and gives you the feeling like you just want to walk out without ordering.

Food was really tasty, but I've eaten in the place twice now and the service is really slow and they mixed up orders both times I was there. Just need to get a better system in place. Once they do that, the food is really good

Food is delicious, massive quantities and so many vegan options. Unfortunately the service is really average. Slow and unresponsive. I’d recommend on a quieter day!

The ambience is good, food is great and portions enormous, let down by the poor customer service. A few great wait staff but majority lack a sense of urgency & care.

Had an amazing Sunday brunch. Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff an delicious food. Will be coming back again!

No one serves us when we go in. Have to wait for 10 mins for ordering. The food also have to wait for more than an hour and it was burned. Don't waste your money and time.

Great food and staffs. Pet friendly.
Nothing to complain. Paintings on the wall are also nice.

Really love the venue, and the food was yum and great value but they’re biggest downfall is their customer service. In the 30-45mins we were there we saw 4 other tables experience the same confusion we had. When we entered we were walked past by one staff member, and looked at but given no direction by another. We found our own seating and after a few minutes came to our own conclusion that it might not be table service. Which we later saw some people got, when the staff decided/remembered to do it. I saw a couple tables having to literally wave both hands to get attention, and was still looked over/ignored for a couple minutes.
Long story short, I’d return purely for the venue and good value in terms of food. But would expect appalling service.

The food was so delicious. The overall service was an excellent with fast paced. Besides that the atmosphere was amazing with Great greenery’s, artistic as well as pet friendly.

Great vibes and dog friendly! Lovely outdoor area to sit out in the sunshine! Amazing coffee and the food is awesome too, highly recommend!

Affordable cost and meals are well served.
The pull lamb was tasty.
They have a great backyard to enjoy and relax.

Overall a cafe that has everything going on x Although I could not find my favourite brekky menu - chilli scrambled eggs - Smashed avo & fritters were delish! Will be back with my pup next time
