Ned Kelly Museum & Homestead reviews
49Was really appreciative in learning the history of Ned Kelly. The theatre set up was spectacular.
Loved reading the history of Ned Kelly and looking at his homestead and everything. They even have some cockatoos you can say hello too!
In Jan 2022 I paid $12 to enter the museum. $5 would have been more than enough for the 10mins it took us to walk around and not be too impressed. Two cockatoos on site in a cage which seemed all too small for them. Gift shop had a lot of merchandise, but I left empty handed. Lady at the desk was friendly.
I have seen many shows around the world large and small and I must recommend this one run by a young man continuing his family legacy. A fantastic bit of Australiana, well maintained, with regular additions. The passion shows through brightly - I can't believe a Melbourne theater producer hasn't jumped in to invest.
I was here 35 years ago, and now I was just so happy to bring my family here to experience this.
Absolutely Awesome
Fabulous attraction and the owner (a lovely young guy) continues his family legacy of entertainment with real history artifacts on display… highly recommend to all families
Nothing was open. We asked in the lolly shop if anything was going to open & the lovely girl said probably around 10am. We hung around hour & half but NOTHING opened up not even tourist info! I understand with covid things are difficult but perhaps change the opening hours on the door, website & facebook. That would save disappointing people & wasting their time.
A bit of interesting Australian history. Could be a little more accessibility friendly with layout. Displays are very cramped together and lighting makes difficult to read for low vision, but heaps of interesting facts and a great little detour on a road trip. Very much worth the trip! Staff are very approachable!
Excellent little museum, very informative and educational. It's a must visit if you are going past Glenrowan
Seems to get better for me with each visit. Love it. Another visit later on in the year with my kids who love it too!
Absolutely fantastic. The staff could not be anymore helpful and boy do they know there stuff. It had alot of beautiful displays of Australian history! Very informative & extremely well laid out. You have to stop and have a look. It's definitely a must see.
What a great display of some Australian history! Very informative & extremely well laid out. We had a great morning here!
Not much to see really but still good for a country town place and was cheap to enter so can't complain
Fantastic museum jam packed with memorabilia & artefacts. Something to appeal to everyone my kids from 7yo - 16yo all loved it! Well worth the detour off the highway if you are going past.
Interesting museum about the Kelly saga. Some intetesting artifacts and a fairly accurate, I think, replica of the Kelly house. Usual array of souvenirs available in the shop
Second time we have been. Staff are brilliant, kids have a blast. It is pricey I think but worth it I guess. $32 adults and $23 for kids. They have got a new bar and grill in town too which is great with lovely outdoor seating.
Australian history at its best. A must see when traveling through the iconic township of Glenrowan. If you don't see it all, " such is life".
A great day was had by all with the 5 children aged between 9 & 15 years old. The young man that bought it from his Grandfather recently gave outstanding customer service and explained himself very well re the guns, uniforms and events that took place. The re enactment was fabulous and we'll worth seeing.highly recommended!
A nice museum, quite small, but certainly a must if you want to learn about Ned Kelly, his homestead and some of the related history. This can be combined with the relevant points of interest around the town (which they direct you towards after the tour).
They allow dogs too which was nice, although caution with the cockatoos (some dogs were notably barking at them, and they were squawking back).
Museum was only $10.00 each which seemed quite reasonable.
