Great first visit. Some Ostriches and other native animals with Emus, Kangaroo and Wallabies would be great.

It is a lovely spot to take very young children to see a small collection of animals. Emus are safely behind high fences. The Kangaroo and Wallabies are hard to find, but with patience, you will find them, possibly hiding down the back behind a mound. The kangaroo was very friendly and stayed lying down for my 2 year old grandson to pat as long as he wanted. The wallabies were very timid. Entry is free.

Narana do a good job, I won’t deny that, but if you want a tour of the place, don’t bother unless you can organise a group of ten or more. My friend and I booked a tour for ourselves and booked it nearly a year in advance because the popularity was such that they were literally booked out months in advance. Today, we were told our booking has been cancelled because ‘new management’ is only interested in large groups.

Apparently they have no interest in honouring existing bookings that had been made months in advance. When my friend queried this, they were outright rude to her.

Narana, your new management is a disgrace and it’s a damn shame because the work you do there is so important. It’s a pity you’ll now be so selective about who you share it with.

I loved this place. It's in keeping with the idea of sharing culture and history. They demonstrate their love of country through the carefully planned property that houses emus, ducks, Wallabies and kangaroos. Not a lot of them, which is great, as it leaves room for them to escape the selfie-taking tourists if they want. Entrance is free, the cafe, interpretation centre, library and souvenir shops are wonderful.

Went here for a birthday party - it's really good value no entrance fee so you don't have to spend much money but there is animal food or food from cafe souvenirs from shop and you can get up very close to kangaroos wallabies and emus and pat them if they're not too tired

Absolutely love it here! Staff are always kind and happy to help. Entry is free and a cup of animal food only $3. Beautiful baby emus, mumma on eggs, kangaroos and wallabies. Also scored some ducklings at my last visit. Mozzie spray essential which is supplied free of charge at the rear entrance to the cafe. Great playground suited for wide age range. Art gallery and museum are also worth a look with amazing local art on display. Cafe has delicious food, drinks and snacks (recommend the museum toilets). Very reasonable prices.
Gift shop has lots of lovely things, kids spend their pocket money on the very cute Australian animal soft toys. Extra parking via boundary road. If the car park is full it may be a function room being used, not necessarily that the cafe and animal areas are busy.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and the emu's and Wallabies were all well fed so our grand daughter didn't get to feed any animals as they where not interested. Cafe was good, but little interaction with indigenous staff. It would be good to see over weekends more stories about the local indigenous culture, boomerang throwing etc so that we could get a better understanding of our local indigenous mob. Still for free entry can not complain and will be back in the future.

Perfect for all ages from 1 month to 100 years old. Get to meet the emus, kangaroos, wallabies and native birds. Even feed them with the food from the shop if you like.

Delightful Staff, welcoming and they love people to visit them. Good variety on Menu, the juiciest and most delicious hamburger I've eaten, lovely salad inside bun. The Cafe/Restaurant is circular and has an enclosed fire place in the centre on cold days.
Outside at the back, there are Emus and Wallabies where adults and children love to walk the paths. On arrival, also in a round room, there are gifts to purchase, and a good variety.
Always happy to go again.

Great cafe. Friendly animals to feed (emus a bit tempremental, but safe to feed). Lovely artwork and culture to look and read about in a nice bushland setting.

Very nice place to enjoy a coffee or something light to eat. Great place to take international visitors to Geelong where you don't have to go far to see our wildlife. Very pretty

An amazing hidden gem on the way to great Ocean road from Melbourne. We were given a tour by Anthony who explained the tools and the ways of the aboriginals in great detail and fun. And the best part was petting the kangaroos, wallabys and emus!

Loved the story boards of the events following Captain Cooks landing. It's shocking that it took 200 years for recognition of aboriginal rights.
The gift shop and art displays are fabulous.
I shared the story boards in my travel blog to hopefully raise awareness.
