Absolutely loved the Chicken Parmigiana with Smoked Kangaroo instead of Ham - amazing combo and an amazing parmy in general.

Wonderful pub, staff are friendly and accomodating. Food sizes are extra large, so you won't leave hungry.

Great local bar. The outdoor area is great escape from busy Brunswick St and the food and drinks solid. The burger is great value for $22 and you have to try their bread!

The Napier Hotel is without a doubt one of Melbourne's best pubs. They engaged us to complete work in the beer garden a few years ago and right from the initial meeting I knew this pub would be an extension of my Familia.
I have since been back a number of times as a patron. The staff are extremely polite and well versed in putting the customer first, always tentative but never overbearing. The kitchen staff are incredibly professional and consistently produce amazing food.

You guys rock, keep up the amazing work!

I’ve come to this pub for years purely for the Kangaroo Parma and I can’t recommend it higher. Where do I start, the chicken is phenomenal, not to thick or thin, crispy. The sauce and cheese is nailed to perfection (quality and quantity) and the roo (that replaces the ham) is absolutely off it’s head. Tasty and juicy, not too gamey as you’d expect. The chip and salad amount are also plentiful and tasty. When ever my miso doesn’t get the roo Parma with me, she is often highly satisfied with the roo salad or one of their specials. The bar is cool, the crew working there are also really nice (always see the same workers there, they are always happy and although irrelevant it’s also cool that 2 of the blokes are also callee Guy)
Anyways I’ve moved down the coast but when ever I am staying in town I come for my fix. Here is a photo it’s not the best but it’s what I’m showing my work mates tomorrow after spending this arvo chattting about how excited I am. Thanks guys!

Good atmosphere, yummy food but they did mix up our orders a little bit. The fact that they were so accommodating for a large group at shortish notice made up for it though

The roast of the day was second class. Apparently they had run short of goose, so a couple of us basically got the scapes!

Best pub in Melbourne. Hospitality at it's best in terms of service, atmosphere and most importantly, food! Great courtyard with heaters in winter. The food is fancy restaurant quality, always delicious. Tip - The food specials change all the time and are always good, so be sure to check out the specials board in the front bar.

Great pub fare, massive portions at a decent price. Ordered entree calamari and it was a full meal. Wedges on top of that was far too much food but delicious nonetheless. The parma was so huge, it was double the size of some of the smaller parmas you get at other pubs. Staff were attentive but not overbearing, quality service rarely seen at pubs nowadays. Good variety of beers on tap. Would definitely go there again!

Excellent spot for a sunny day in Fitzroy. We sat in the outdoor courtyard which was a beaut. Ordered the Chicken Parma & the Fried Chicken burger, both simple & delicious. The side salad & fries that accompanied each was great, as were the condiments offered at each table. Over all big portions & great value - exactly what you want from your local pub ️

You want a quality feed and bevs? The Napier is the place for you. We drove across the city regularly for a feed. Great staff. Get on it.

A must visit when we're in Victoria. Great food. Great value. Great service. Great beer. The ambience is spectacular. Keep your eye out for Jack. You never know when he'll drop by!

This was an unforgettable experience. I’m in town from Montreal, Canada and this lovely place was recommended to me. It was unforgettable for many reasons; the first was trying kangaroo - I’m not much of a meat eater but when else would I try this? It was delicious and peppery and flavourful. We also ordered a classic chicken parm which seems to be big here. The portions were generous and delicious. The other reason this was so unforgettable was the service. I wish I could recall our servers name, he was so kind. He came to see us many times making sure we had what we needed and were having a good time. It felt genuine and authentic. If you’re visiting I would 100% spend my money here and if you’re local and haven’t gone here - what are you waiting for?
