Mythos Gyros Bar

The best fasolada (bean) and fakes (bean) soup I’ve ever tasted. I can honestly say it’s better than my mums.

I got food poisoning and got sick for 5 days. Won't be going anywhere close. The gyros was just fat and there were burnt pieces.

I don't recall ANY Customer service and the $14 souvalaki was small (no lettuce) and nothing to comment on. Blah!

Found the skewers chicken & pork under cooked.
Brought it to their attention and didn’t even offer to cook further.

Delicious food.
And cocktails.
Great atmosphere and excellent service considering it was a busy night for them.

Wow, unbelievable! Food quality 5, value 4, authenticity 4, staff & service 7. (out of 10). Is it so hard to serve honest Greek food at these prices?

Ordered uber eats the food was sitting there for an hour before a driver came, i called the restuarant and asked if it could be re made as its just been sitting there waiting for a driver he said he couldn't do that giving no explanation why.the food arrived cold like dog food absolutely disgusting, it concerns me that they think its okay to serve food thats been sitting there for an hour and wonder if they would like to eat it themselves.

If I could give a zero I would, you have the information on your iPad when uber drivers are coming to pick up the food so I dont understand when my daughter rang you last night and asked you if the food has been cooked 1 hour before uber was getting there you said yes she then asked you if you could re cook it as she didnt want contaminated food and did not want it cold you said NO why would you cook food 1 hour before uber arrives, I work hard for my money and I am entitled to get the food I pay for, this is very bad customer service and it's against food safety act to have food sitting there getting spoilt with bacteria maybe I should call the health department my children did not eat your cold food neither did my dog

Had the mixed souvlaki and it was delicious. Freshly made, pita was soft and warm, the meat had a good char.

The food was crazy delicious, I highly recommend the gyros open plate if you like to eat a lot
Very friendly staff and quick service, the environment were nice too, nice house music but not too loud to keep a conversation.

Unfortunately quite average. Not as good as it used to be a few years back. The quality of the meat is not that great. Staff are friendly however and the restaurant is nice. There are far superior choices now such as Pita Wrap It and Kolonaki which are just incredible.

We had to wait for over 45mins to eventually decide to ask for a refund and leave. They charge $2.9 for a service fee and eventually you go and do it everything yourself. It’s a dirty place which does not keep the hygiene standards or covid rules. People with no masks in there and more than 10-12 waiting around. I regret every moment in there. They even served people who came and ordered after us, first. Of course it’s the only restaurant in the area so even goes and are happy to wait over 40’ for noodles! Lol

It was very average. The yoghurt sauce was very good. The chicken was a little too salty for my liking. We also had the grilled octopus, and that was a little disappointing as it was quite dry.

Came with my friends this evening and food was amazing as normal and staff super lovely. Stuffed up something in my food, I asked if they could pick it out and without a second thought my food was replaced super quickly and filled with gyros. Will keep coming back. Worth the money.

Food is delicious, the menu is plenty and the atmosphere is superb! Love the location in bustling oakleigh!

Great lunch spot. Very nice good at a very fair price. Staff are also very friendly.

Dips with flat bread are particularly good and generous in proportion.

Very quick service and the gyros and octopus were perfect. Great little salad on the side and who can get over nuclear yellow chips lol. We enjoyed our lunch here in the middle of Greek Oakleigh.

Delicious. We have tried most things on the menu here. All delectable.

Our favourite choices are the mixed pitas or the sharing meat platters.

Everything is cooked and prepared fresh.

An absolute triumph of traditional tasty Greek food.

Have been to Mythos many times and have always enjoyed dining there. I bring friends from 45 minutes away to come and eat at Mythos and they're always very happy with the food.
We often will order the saganaki, fried calamari, octopus (so so delicious), occasionally whitebait, then we order a few platters of gyros. Chicken, pork or lamb are all delicious you really can't go wrong when ordering here.
I have also enjoyed getting a take away pita gyros for lunch, $10.50 is an absolute bargain for a chicken or pork gyros.
People outside of Oakleigh generally flock to other restaurants but the locals all know that Mythos is where you eat in Oakleigh.

We had a late lunch at Mythos Gyros Bar. In short the meat was over cooked and didn’t have any flavour. The chips was cooked in oil that was not clean and past its used by date. The music on the restaurant sound systems was ‘wrap’ with graphic language. We have nothing against wrap music but the language and style of music was inappropriate for the venue. There’s better in Eaton Mall.
