My Tho Restaurant reviews
62 Arrogant, rude, and outrageously greedy. Tried to rush us out of the restaurant while we were still eating because they had people waiting outside. Then complained we didn’t order enough even though we spent 50 dollars! To top it all off, they charged us extra money ($5.00) for tea without telling us because we drank too much!
Not to mention they microwaved our pork rice instead of properly searing it, and the portions for the pho were quite small!
Some of the best Vietnamese in Melbourne. Pho, pork and prawn rice paper rolls and the quail are a must!
Amazing authentic dishes. The menu is extensive; and we have tried quite a few - all great! Friendly staff and great value for money. Hands down our favourite Vietnamese restaurant.
We love MyTho! Excellent service and authentic Vietnamese dishes. The dishes are full flavoured and a great big size. We live in the east and we keep coming back.
Yummy Vietnamese food, drinks not pictured but they have custard apple smoothie which is not available everywhere so loved that! Also usual Vietnamese iced coffee and avocado smoothie was good too.
We ordered:
Banh Xeo (pork and prawn) : I kind of only remember the bean sprout because there was a lot in there. Banh xeo was very crispy.
Hu Tieu My Tho (dry) : delicious hits the craving, soup was very tasty too.
Banh Hoi La Lot + Cha Tom: love the Banh Hoo and flexibility of the restaurant to allow for addition of Cha Tom instead of having to order another serving of Banh Hoi.
Overall good feed and flavourful, could have done with a bit more lettuce to get through the Banh Hoi and Banh Xeo but not a big deal.
Chicken Satay Skewers: tender chicken but is what you expect it to be
Owners and staff are super friendly and accomodating as well!
The sizzling hot plates are a spectacular arrival to the table. Excellent prices for good quality meals.
There is no doubt that the food tasted good, the staffs nice and kind. But its a pity that I felt unhappy beacause of the half cut vegetable noodles. Due to I can’t finish a lot of beef for $15 beef noodles, then normally I order noolds only$10. Yesterday, they offered me vegetable noodles, same price as beef noodles, but half cut my noodles and make me still hungry. It means I pay $15 I still hungry, worse than $10 noodles only. Thank you, the service is very good, but it makes me feel like I am a fool.
Expensive for what you get! Barely any noodles in the BBH and charges $9 for coconut juice wow
So good, just so so good. I cannot wait to go back for more. Eyeing all the dishes coming out and I was just in complete jealously. It was just me so had the beef and brisket pho. It was outstanding, so much beef and juicy brisket. I'll be back for sure!
Pho, spring rolls and rice-paper rolls were fresh and delicious. Service is good and the restaurant is very clean. Sauces were well stocked (I hate it when he chili oil is low/empty). This is my current go-to for Vietnamese.
The soup for the pho was delicious and full of flavour. Very crowded on most days and it wouldn't be a place to stay for long as they clear the tables quite quickly.
The taste of traditional Vietnamese dishes is good. The shop is clean and the staff is nice, I like it, keep it up!
The vegetable and tofu crispy fried pancake (Banh Xeo) is delicious. It is packed full of fresh tasting veggies and a generous serving.
Staff are always friendly and helpful, even being patient with me when I have trouble hearing in the noise.
We do delivery normally because parking is never especially fun, not impossible though. And if you're on public transport it's well located. Even with delivery the pancake is good, but it's absolutely best fresh cooked!
Have ordered a few tea through a food delivery service and last night the broth from the beef pho was missing. Unfortunately the driver didn't have it. The restaurant isn't too far from where I live so I just called to see if it was left behind because I could go if I needed to.and sure enough it was. The person I spoke to was very apologetic and then personally delivered a new broth! The food is great (delicious pho, and veggie noodles are so generous with tofu!) which is why we keep ordering from here, but this level of customer service was above and beyond what I expected. Thanks My Tho
Tuesday night we went to my Tho for dinner, and we found tissue in our wonton soup, I called the guy and show them what we found in our food, he apologised and said we won’t charge you for this food. And when my partner pay, they charge him. From now on, we won’t come back to eat there ever again. BIG NO and not just because of the money, they need to look after and take care with what they cook…
Awesome, fresh and tasty. Make sure you get there early, it gets really busy from 5: 45pm onwards.
Not bad, smaller portion sizes compared to others I’ve been to but enough to Fill you up! The spring rolls were yummy! The prawn spring rolls in lettuce were delicious, I loved that the BBH came with pork blood and pork hock just naturally, very generous with meats
The best Vietnamese restaurant in the northern suburbs.
Customer service was amazing and the food was sensational, definitely coming back here again.
Food: was okay, nothing special. Some of the items actually lacked some flavour.
The pho was the highlight, as was the fried calamari dish.
The dish’s come out quickly, and fresh. Overall, was hoping for more, as I’ve seen this place get pretty busy.
Service: was pretty good. One staff member (male) who served us was pretty awesome, and quite attentive.
They made it pretty clear when they wanted you to leave though, quite abruptly also.
Overall, was okay. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it
My cousin got yelled at by TWO of the employees all because of a miss communication when she ordered two singular rice paper rolls and the man came out with 4 instead of two single ones and then she politely said she didn’t order that and the man starting yelling at her infront of all the other customers in the restaurant saying she was wrong and the other lady came and started yelling too and they both stormed off after that. My cousin started getting watery eyes and cried and people in the restaurant came up asking if she was okay.
