This is for the online store. Sold 3 tops and chose a store voucher as payment (love that they never expire!). I was so happy to find shoes I've been looking for relatively soon after! I had a wonderful experience at mutual muse. As someone trying to resist turning to fast fashion when I can’t find what I need at traditional op shops, it is the perfect solution. I scored some lovely pieces and the employees were very welcoming, warm and helpful.

Love this place. Friendly staff, excellent range. Just picked up a beautiful dress today and I love that it's laid out in sizes so it's easy to browse. Such a great concept and makes shopping ethically and sustainably easy.

I went here to try to sell some of my clothes today and although they only took one of my pieces they were quite friendly about it. I totally get that they have to be selective on what their target customers would want and what would easily sell. I got half a cash direct deposit and half store credit.

The concept, clothes, staff - LOVE! Prices are pretty reasonable as well. Definitely not cheap like your local Vinnies or Savers op shop but the pieces are much more curated and you know that every piece is going to be quality. Shop pre-loved where you can! Thanks team!

An amazing range of Australian/Melbourne designers. Such a fantastic way to affordably buy beautiful clothes made to last. They also buy preloved clothes for cash or store credit. And the layout of the store makes it so much easier to browse and find what you’re looking for than many thrift stores! Love it!

Beautiful and unique, quality clothes. They are a little more expensive, not at op shop prices, but so worth it if you buy a piece from here, not any worries about getting a low quality item as each individual item is obviously very carefully picked out.

Love love love Mutual Muse! One of my favourites in Naarm/Melbourne - I've been a fan for years. This gem of a store stocks high quality pieces in a fun selection of styles and inclusive sizes. It's refreshing being able to buy garments in excellent condition that I wouldn't otherwise afford to buy brand new.

Buying pre-loved is far more ethical than buying new and I'm now more likely to go for quality over quantity, so in a tiny way, shopping here feels like contributing to a happier and more sustainable planet.

Although they are selective in terms of which garments they accept, I respect their depth of knowledge and understanding of what will and won't sell. The staff exude all the *warm n fuzzy vibes* which I adore and I appreciate their evident passion for maintaining a carefully curated collection.

I love that Mutual Muse feels like someone's expansive and eclectic wardrobe. No two garments are the same which makes for a shopping experience that feels rare and unique. I feel like I'm always giving ~Main Character Energy~ when wearing my pieces from here!

I have literally never walked out of Mutual Muse without a fab pre-loved score, feeling good about saving something from landfill, and with a smile on my face from the friendly, helpful and stylish staff! MM is a fashionable step towards the circular, sustainable future we all need.

Sell your stuff on marketplace, this is an abusive business practice. They offered me $80 credit for two coats, sold them for $100 each then only honoured $40 in store credit.
Manager/owner is rude and condescending.

Very pleasant selling experience here. None of the hustle of listing on eBay.

Good clothes, but sad to say the service is lacking a lot! I always feel like I am not welcome. I have been shopping here since they opened but now I just can't face going in there with the uncool vibes.

I do two massive clothing shops a year to reinvigorate my wardrobe and I do it all at Mutual Muse! They have everything I could possibly need without contributing to the production of new clothes and diverting clothing from landfill.

Queried what the process was with selling items to them and they basically said we’re full as if to say they wouldn’t want to bother looking at the stuff I was offering. Felt a bit insulted. Definitely wouldn’t shop or sell to them.

The clothes are super cute and I had a good interaction with one of the staff there but I have to say the size inclusivity is pretty sub par. I wouldn’t consider myself plus size, the pants I’m currently wearing are a 12 from H&M for reference but I was struggling to find things that were actually size 12. There were items available in size 12 but almost everything ran small. It may have just been bad timing as clothes cycle through, but yeah, didn’t feel great being pretty average size and struggling to find things that fit when the sizes below were stocked full of stuff.

Am so grateful to this wonderful business for offering ace alternatives to fast fashion and its awful environmental and social impact.a great place to not only shop but also drop in own clothes to on-sell.i like getting store credit which quickly builds up and can then buy something lovely for myself:) i don’t always find something every visit but like that it has helped me be more conscious and thoughtful about purchases.and i often like just having a wander and chatting to lovely staff and know that i’ll likely strike sartorial gold next time.

Used to love this sustainable store & I purchased a lot of things from here so I am pretty disappointed to leave this review: (.
I bought a vintage dress from here and, when I wore it for the first time, the ink from the pattern leaked and ruined the dress. Then, when I tried to wash it (by simply putting it in cold water), the ink leaked even more and the water turned fully pink. Very weird considering the dress should have been washed before being put on the racks. This was brought to the stores attention and they didn’t care & were quite dismissive/ rude. They didn’t even allow an exchange or anything because it was purchased more than 7 days ago (this policy is nowhere on the receipt and I was not told about it when purchasing). I’ve now had to chuck out the dress, such a waste. Make sure you are buying good clothes from here and not their rip off and poor quality supposedly 'vintage' ones. I understand that it’s tricky to allow refunds and exchanges on second hand clothes (mind you I paid quite a bit of $$ for it). But I think this dress was a one off exception. I still think this store is ethical and a great idea but their customer service is unfriendly/ cold and their terms are pretty disappointing.

Really nice vibe and great style. I never feel pushed in to anything and the staff are always open for a chat, but aren't aggressively selling. Great range of sizes and body-positive approach to clothing. Cool clothes too - love the 'gently loved' take on sustainability in fashion. I am a long standing and loyal customer. ️️️️

I was very much looking forward to visiting this store and giving my preloved designer clothing a second chance however my experience was anything but nice. Upon arrival I felt staff were unwelcoming and the lady behind the desk was rather rude. I took a lot of time in selecting clothes based on the description provided on the website (which clearly needs updating) only to told there was nothing they wanted with little feedback on why. I will not be returning to this store.
