Mr Burch reviews
56Casual shop front cafe. Lovely staff. Pleasant food and atmosphere. Accessibility not great. 2 steps at entrance and toilet on upper level.
Always serves good food n good hot drinks. Love their cakes too.
Nothing fancy but so comfortable.
Just one of those precious cafes I can go with trust at anytime.
We loved our meals and the service was good.
Some hot drinks were nice, almond soy chai was milky, one of the hot chocolates were Luke warm. Otherwise we had a great time.
Mr Burch feels like home. I have been a fan since I first moved here 9 years ago. I love their corn fritters and the specials are always wonderful. And the coffee is amazing-they introduced me to Keep Cups (life changing experience).
Breakfast was slow and one very late
Breakfast was cold
Have eaten there before not sure what was happening today 27/6/18
Very unprofessional
I like to end on a positive
Lovely waitress
Good food, very nice set up. Has outdoor and indoor seating, though upstairs is like a little museum! Has a fireplace, fairly realistic, with a couple of big armstairs. Lots of old nic nacs to look at. Excellent service and reasonable menu. High teas would be good I imagine.
This is a gem hidden in the side streets of the MC Kinnon suburb. The place is very lively, the service is friendly and efficient. The food came quickly and was very tasty. I ordered eggs benedict and it was one of the best in town. They served me roasted pumpkin seeds while I was waiting for the meal - quite unique. My only suggestion is to have better choice of chairs and some improvement in wall decoration.
Beautiful old fashioned place, lots of character, fantastic menu with lots of options if you have dietary requirements. Cakes & slices are amazing, fabulous staff! Will be a regular stop from now on
Very fortunate to have this establishment in the local community. Mr Burch has been regular part of our week for the past 2+ years, and will continue to be in the foreseeable future. The food is always comforting, and the staff always willing to accommodate my family of 3 (including 18 month old).
Excellent friendly service and delicious food. I love their breakfast selection and their freshly squeezed orange juice. Their desserts are always so tempting. Pet friendly. Lovely to see families out on weekends. It can get busy, but worth waiting for a table.
Excellent and classic presentation, beautiful iced coffee and lovely atmosphere. A bit cramped.
Mr Burch wow one of the best cafes that I have been. Mist important thing about that cafe is their special are so good. Need to try freshly squeezed orange juice and at end don't go out with out coffee.
Service was the best I've had at a cafe. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, made me feel at home. The food was unfortunately underwhelming, my poached eggs were underdone.
This place could really benefit from a really good chef and new menu.
Great food would make this the perfect local cafe.
Excellent coffee and very tempting little treats. I just dropped in with a little time to kill. Didn't stay for lunch but the menu looks great. Would definitely do this again.
My wife, 2 boys and I have been going to Mr Burch for over six years now and they never disappoint. The pride they take on keeping the menu relevant (and in demand!), the ambience - especially upstairs and of course A1 customer service/focus. Can't say enough good stuff about this place. Sounds corny but we kinda feel part of the furniture. A Mckinnon icon for sure!
When you make a mistake with someone's order, the options shouldn't be "do you want to take the one that you've already paid for, or pay extra for what you wanted? "
Get a grip.
