Moti Mahal Indian Restaurant reviews
81Wow the best Indian I’ve had in a long time, I highly recommend this place, so tasty and nice, fresh authentigc and so friendly. A+
I've been going to this Indian gem for years. Great service, wonderful food and it's not expensive. If you're looking for a great Indian restaurant, it's very hard to go past this place. The flavours in their curries are incredible and not easy to come by. Being a big fan on Indian food, I'm always on the lookout for places that can get it right. Moti Mahal does it in spades and my personal feeling is it's the best Indian restaurant in Melbourne. Recommend highly.
Authentic Indian tasty food. Very few places you will get such good food in such reasonable pricing.
The food was average. The waiting staff are terrible. We were underwhelmed by their attention. We will not be returning.
The food was pretty good but we waited over an hour for it and the service was terrible one of the waitress seemed to have no idea what she was doing and was random. Would recommend if you want some good food and don't mind waiting for 2 hours
Excellent spicy food! That actually reminds me of some quality food in my country. Lovely place to Kill the hunger
This was the first and last time I ordered from this restaurant. Well I ordered delivery and they didn’t bother to close the containers properly hence the delivery bag Was full of curry. Like any one else would do I called them and they said “ keep it this time and we will give you a free dish next time you order “. Well it was a lesson learned, I would rather starve than order food from them. I wish I could post a picture of my delivery.
Great food as always, but problems with their online ordering. Avoid the hassle and go in person for the amazing food.
This, so called, Indian Restaurant will suit only to non-Indian (Indian subcontinent) taste buds. Their dishes are not tasty.
Last night I ordered takeaway Fish Curry ($20) and that was nothing but mount disappointment.
It's my last option.
Sorry can’t rate the food because after waiting an hour and quarter we walked out.
From other reviews seems to be a common problem.
Pity management were conspicuous by there absence.
Felt sorry for the girl handling all the complaints
Although the food was fabulous, in saying that 2 of the things we ordered just never turned up no explanation and the young girl serving us was lovely. The owner or chef whatever he was was taking the money was rude arrogant and most unpleasant so much so we will never return.
We regularly order from Moti Mahal as it is our local Indian, however it is such a hit and miss experience. Some days the food is great and other days it terrible. Furthermore, they never deliver on time. Every single time we have ordered take away, and we show up when then told us to, they make us wait an additional 10 mins or so, even when there is no one in their restaurant to serve. We would go there more often if the customer service was better and the quality of food more consistent.
On Friday night I had the opportunity to visit Moti Mahal for a meal of goat curry.
Situated on Glenferrie Road in Malvern, Moti Mahal is a lovely warm welcoming space.
I ordered the goat curry accompanied with roti, raita, chutneys and a lassi. The food was good and the servings were generous.
I will be returning in the future to try different menu options.
Enjoyed our food fresh and flavoursome. Extra bonus of having warm plates placed on our table before our food came out.
Friendly service and reasonable pricing.
I ordered murg biryani.worst food ever.so apparently it was boiled chicken with out salt and boild rice with 4 to 5 pices of bould cashew
It was a joke.
NO start from me.had to select star to leave comment
Please change your cook.
Really poor service. I am very despondent I was there around 8: 22 pm. I got my meal at 9: 20pm. Service was not good. I think you need to spend whole evening to get your food.
They don't know how to talk
Serious mate, I've called to book a table for 7 people and this person is talking like talking to his worker. F*** o** mate. Either your restuarant is really busy or you don't want it to be busy.
Have no idea how to get bookings. No greetings over the phone, not even common sense.
Seriously dude make your attitude right to run a restaurant or you'll close down soon.
Poor Service.
Owner/Manager seems to be very rude.
Would nor recommend it to anyone.
Great quality and tasty food along with best customer service. I do really appreciate the effort and time the owner gives to the restaurant. Highly recommend
Good food. Indian taste. Experienced and communicating chef. Nice wine and drinks. Loved dessert.
