Morwell Centenary Rose Garden

An amazing collection of over 200 different types of roses - more than 4000 bushes - in bloom. They had passed the full glory of their spring flowering, but it was still a glorious sight.

It's a beautiful rose garden at corner of the city. Lots of variety there and the city remembered their people with with every plant. Really awsome.

Beautiful spot for a stroll to smell the fragrant roses. Great place to take selfies or professional shots. Well maintained throughout the year and even more so when the annual rose festival is held, with stall holders offering all kinds of products suited to gardeners. Public toilets within metres of rose garden.

Great roses in this small park. Just to mention, this doesn’t have lot of facilities for a picnic or shade but can be visited on the go

This is an extremely beautiful large rose garden. When we went it was in full bloom with many colours on display in a variety of different areas. My partner was extremely excited and had many photos here.

The rose garden was in full bloom it was such a delight to walk through the colours the fragrances my hat goes off to those wonderful people who shows pride in their work they are a tribute to the township of Morwell

only problem is that its morwell so enter at your own risk

Morwell Council is working extremely hard to dress the city up and the changes are most welcome. There's a modernising vibe here. The rose garden is limited but spectacular when the roses are all in bloom. All around town are smaller rose beds, beautifully landscaped and well signed. November is the best time to view.

Stunning rose gardens. The more time you spend, the more you see. High on a hilltop with blue skies overhead & a minute to a few good cafes

Beautiful gardens, many varieties and well layed out with ample resting areas and lush green lawns, also a really serene space for a beautiful send off ceremony by the spiritual centre across the rd.
(As long as its not pouring down)

Great for rose lovers! Liked to countries of origin and dates! Good for a pleasant stroll. Traffic a bit distracting but can't have everything! Loved the sweet pansies too!

Lovely rose garden with the roses labelled nicely. Definitely worth a wander through if you're in the area. You can grab a takeaway nearby to do it with.

Great place to sit back and relax whilst reading a book or newspaper. Centrally located, a mere 5 to 8 minute walk from the Morwell Bus Interchange and a great place to admire the beauty of garden.

The Rose Gardens are lovely. They are in the centre medium of a residential street, but intersect with busy Commercial Road. As a Marriage Celebrant, I have offiated several weddings here and find that I need to advise my couples not to use the Northern end of the gardens, as it can be noisier. For weddings, the gardens need to be booked through Latrobe City.

Fabulous rose garden, the volunteers do a great job of maintaining the gardens. Has been neat and tidy every time that I've visited. Well worth a wander around.

Always a beautiful peaceful place for walking and or having lunch sitting amongst the roses. Toilets available straight across the road

Definitely recommend a visit here! Such an amazing and diverse collection of roses, so colourful and oh my gosh the aroma is heavenly! The gardeners have truly done a wonderful job.
