Mornington Pier reviews
41 A nice place for a family or even an individual outing.if you fancy fishing come with a fishing rod find a nice spot and wait for fish. You can have a nice view of Melbourne city skyline on a clear day.
If you come on a busy day you might have to leave your car at quite some distance because of limited parking.
Great pier, beautiful view, many fishermen and great atmosphere. Easy parking near by as well as few good restaurants with great food and magnificent view.
Tonight worth going down there for a walk at nearly 1am in the morning while sitting in the car eating maccas we saw someone trying to rob a car and a cop car came down and arrested the guy straight away made my night
The pier is great and all the recreational activities we can do are amazing but there is a big problem as a keen fishermen a find it very annoying that there is no light at the end of the pier people can hurt them selves and fishermen can’t see there rods without a their own light. So I would really like for them to add a light at the end of the pier while it’s getting repaired.
Kind regards.
Great little place with nice views, boat hire, park for kids, boat ramp and toilets.
Very nice area for a picnic, walk, fun etc
Grab fish and chips from the local seller and enjoy.
Mornington Pier is a pretty place to visit. A lot of fishermen gather there, so you need to keep an eye out for casting, but a walk out to the end of the Pier gives you a great view of Mother's Beach.
Fishing in the early hours at around 4am, a whole pod of dolphins came for a feed and a play soooo close at the boat launch. Absolutely beautiful
My favourite spot. Love to look at the sea from on top of the hill. Can catch a glimpse of dolphins if you're lucky.
It is interesting how that waters are so different each time you go. E.g. Calm one time then others, rough waves splashing over the pier. Fantastic.
Truly magnificentthe views stupendousthe food excellent but super pricey we paid $60 For a doz oysters
Toilets were dirty but once told they were cleaned straight away and it was a long wait for my coffee! The 2 staff in the cafe were flat sticks with the amount of orders coming through and did a great job just under staffed in that department!
I love the Mornington Pier, great beach, great place to grab a bite to eat and such a great place to go for an afternnon swim!
This is a picturesque location for a relaxing walk. This place is mainly famous among tourists for rod fishing.
The end of the pier is blocked off for some reason. But there's enough of it accessible for people who like to go fishing there.
Love the beaches there always the best place to go for a swim there and feel the wind breeze feels really relaxing and enjoyable to sit on the sand and just watch the ocean
A short ride from Melbourne you can get to the Mornington Peninsula which has a number of tourist attractions. The Mornington pier has a beautiful beach and a famous destination for going rod fishing.you can see many people coming by vehicles, towing there own small boats.
This is a beautiful place to just sit and relax, go fishing, get a coffee, go for a walk, or just take in the scenery.
Beautiful views.
Places to eat both Cafe and restaurant.
Also picnic tables and numerous bins around so please keep it clean.
Lots of walking to be had and a great BBQ / park area up the road.
Great spot. Parking can be difficult. Nice small cafe towards the pier or the pricier Rocks which has great views. Home of the Mornington Yacht Club.
