Mornington Golf Club reviews
43Enjoyed a beautiful Engagement celebration at Mornington Golf Club yesterday. The food, entertainment and service was excellent. Well done!
Although i was at MGC for a very heartbreaking occasion, i was impessed at how well flowing this venue is with quick check in and service. The staff were all lovely, respectful and friendly. The drinks and food generous and reasonably priced. The views are beautiful. I would recommend Mornington Golf Club for any occasion. Thank you.
Probably the best looking bay views in Vic. Course conditions are extremely wet and muddy under foot at the moment, has some good holes still despite the wet conditions, greens are great, running true, a few greens are somewhat challenging and require a read from front and rear of your putting line. Sorry didn't take photos.
Attended a breakfast meeting with 30 others. Nice venue but the whole breakfast was cold to luke warm. Other diners said the same.
Views are amazing, the course however was in poor condition. Fairways very muddy & desperate for a trim. Pro shop staff very friendly and informative, members seemed very stuck up. Bit of a goat track and could be so much better if they relayed new turf.
A challenging golf course with magnificent views. Friendly and helpful staff. Green fees very reasonable.
Friendly staff, amazing views. Greens had been dusted and wet from lots of rain lately but would go again in summer
Absolutely loved the golf course and the hospitality shown by Brad and the team in the shop. An afternoon tee time features the sunset on the back nine which is absolutely amazing. Could not recommend the course enough!
People describing the front 9 as a goat’s track (singular) are clearly spending their time in the rough, not on the fairways. The Pro shop will offer lessons. MGC is a members‘ club, with limited public - access. Its high standards are due to the large and increasing membership base. Green fee players share some of the benefits for a relatively modest charge. Members enjoy the ambience of the recently refurbished Bayview Restaurant, along with the multi - award winning functions facilities. If potential players can nominate a course not ever affected by The Elements, and with the facilities of MGC I would be happy to know of it.
Lovely views from the club house looking out onto the bay.
Resturant is not open for an evening meal on Mondays or Tuesdays. Pity we were bringing overseas visitors.
Front 9 fairways was like playing on a goat's track! Back 9 fairways were a lot better. Around the greens not to bad. Best part about this course is the views.
Paying $59 for 18 holes I expected better.
Marvelous. When i'm dead i think i'll have my memorial service here.
Lovely view of The Bay.
Only spoilt by small groups of people ruining a good walk.
Bit of a disappointment when I played here. I had played here 15 years ago and remembered what good condition the course was in.
The fairway grass cover was patchy. The ninth hole was out of play due to renovations.
It just seemed a bit run down.
Not the place I remembered.
Nice course although showing signs of stress in the fairways due to a lack of water. Greens have been kept lovely and you definitely require a cart as it's certainly a course for a mountain goat.
Course is in poor condition, $50 for a round is ridiculous. Staff did not advise players that some holes were closed and there were no visible signs advising player's.
A bit windy and the course is very wet due to recent rain. Myself and my wife played and enjoyed the layout and will return at a warmer time of rhe year. Pro staff are friendly and very helpful nice layout
Food was not very good. I was with a large party and many complained about their meal. The service was excellent which brought rating up.
A good course that has amazing views of the bay. With those views it is such a nice place to play even if you are not hitting them too well!
Nice course, stunning views of the bay. Good restaurant/bar with a upstairs view over a couple of holes. New par 3 opened up. Fair bit of fuss over a hole that isn't 100% complete yet (large gur around it) and is fairly short. Enjoyed the different challenges on the holes, greens were true and tough. Would recommend carts but is walkable.
