Moreland Hotel reviews
66The best hotel for kids extraordinary playground fantastic staff and a simple menu great prices. Unbelievable fit out!
Very few vegan options or ability to change menu items for an adult. Kids vegan pasta had no flavour. The man taking the order had no people skills. The playground is the best thing about the hotel.
Can't beat this as your local. Food is always tasty, recommend the steak, service quick and friendly. Restaurant setting is one of a kind
Visited for the first time today and had lunch. Never realised how amazingly beautiful this hotel is inside! You would never know from just driving past.
The whole place is made to look like you are sitting in the streets of old Florence. The kids would have a field day in the play area also, it was massive!
I ordered a traditional pub meal, parmigiana. It was huge! Fair price! And cooked to perfection!
Down to earth sports pub with lots of races and sports games on TV. Can be busy but usually somewhere to sit. Good place for quick drinks and snacks, but the sports bar is poorly ventilated and smells strongly of cigarette smoke from people smoking outside. Management kindly said they’ll look into it.
My wife and I come here every week for a meal. The food is always great. Staff look after us both all the time. Very happy customers.
Not happy. They charge $39 for a porterhouse steak which looked like it was run over by a car. If they want to charge that much for a steak I would expect a lot better than what i got.
Had a function at the Moreland, the place is awesome and food was GREAT! Staff was very accomodating and very friendly. Will definitely be back!
A good place to eat with the kids with the $10 kids meals great value for a drink, meal and ice cream plus playground. Food for adults was good, had a special slow cooked braised beef with mashed potatoes and veg. Could have had a few more veggies and whilst the quantity of meat was good the quality was only average
The service we received from the minute we entered the hotel was outstanding, great food by the chef and the young lady Tayla was so helpful with making sure my son with a disability was well accommodated for, constantly checking in and even provided a colouring book and pencils for our son so my husband and I could enjoy our meal. Thank you so much, we will definitely be dining here again.
Just called to make a booking for 4 adults and 2 children, upon answering I mentioned i wanted to make a booking, I was put on hold for a few minutes only to be told that the bistro isnt taking bookings, and that its only for tonight (coincidentally enough) but we can book in the sports bar. There is nothing mentioned about it online so I cant help but feel this is a little discriminatory and that the restsraunt is picking and choosing who can and cant book. Its probably a good idea to update your changes online when running a "professional" establishment. Quite disappointing and certainly won't be trying to eat here again.
Fantastic staff was so good with our friends and accomadating for disability family. Food was great, everyone enjoyed it.
Clean with Covid safe practices, friendly, helpful staff, good food, good prices, amazing atmosphere and lovely ambience.
Really enjoyed our night, European decor was great, we had a laugh, good entertainment, could go with a big screen for the footy, but meal was great and HUGE.pokies pay out too haha
Kids area smelling like cigarettes, glassware so filthy, looks like they've never been polished, charged us 10% more for public holiday yet their food was below average, chicken burger's bun was so hard, chips not cooked, kids area and toys were very dirty. Never going anywhere near that place again.
I ordered the so called ' Roast of the Day'. One would assume it would be an actual roast and not pan fried pieces of thin meat.the green beans were chewy; stringy an indigestible and the rest of the veggies were flavourless. Didn't expect miracles being a pub but a 'pass' mark would have been good.
Just saw the Murlocs here. And WHAT a gig venue. Seriously, if bands started playing shows here, I would instantly go.
Had an absolute blast here amazing venue daily priced drinks and the statue of David is a nice touch to the place
Great place for a family outing, heaps of stuff for kids and adults to do, separately and together. Food on the other hand was not that great. I had the steak sandwich and the meat was really dry. Tried some of the pork belly and somehow the crackling was crackly, but tasted more dehydrated than crispy.dunno, hard to explain. Ravioli tasted quite tomatoey, but massive serve. Wife had the steak pie which she really enjoyed.
Officially over this place.dinner was cold, pepper gravy was just normal gravy with peppercorns added at the end.could not get calamari with out prawns as the chef refused to lift a finger.considering that at 630 on a Friday there are only 8 tables with people having dinner and over 45 tables free.this place has died!
