Montania Cafe - Bar - Restaurant

First time here and we were very impressed. We got the deal from Groupon and it didn't disappoint. The food we ordered were delicious, generously portioned and nicely presented. We had a few special requests, all accommodated with a smile. Service was friendly and genuine. Food was really good, we'll definitely be back again. Thank you for a lovely experience

I've just had the Caprese omelette and it was sooo bland, I couldn't finish it. I ordered hot chocolate and, while they got the temperature right - extra hot, it was very watery.so watery I couldn't finish it. Meanwhile hubby says his foccacia and coffee were really good. I've been coming here for a long time and the service is always good, the food has always been just above average, but now mine was below par. I doubt we'll be coming back.

Came in for lunch on Thursday. First visit but definitely not last. Food was amazing, great atmosphere and service was perfect. Special mention to Rachel who made us feel so welcome.

Montania Cafe is one of my favourite breakfast/brunch spots. The wide variety of breakfast and brunch options is excellent and each dish nails it when it comes to being delicious. There is ample seating outdoors, on the ground floor and top floor. The place serves alcohol as well in case anyone is up for some early in the morning

Had an awesome dinner at Montania Cafe. The service from Michael and the team was amazing. The chef and team are talented and the food was just superb. Highly recommended.

I got the salad on the vegan menu, was in a trance with every forkful. Rachel was the best, she reads people well and makes me want to be a regular. Beautiful beautiful beautiful. The mango milkshake is a must too

I came in for dinner recently with some friends and the waitress Jaymee was nothing but amazing! She made sure all dietary requirements were met and nothing was too hard! From when we sat down to when we left, she always made sure we were okay and if we needed anything!

Food was amazing. Delicious and fresh. Staff were so lovely. I have been many times and have always been happy with the food. And no one pushes you out to leave. Highly recommend

I highly recommend their honey pumpkin & chicken risotto. The place is a bit tight though, but overall, everything’s good.

Went for lunch today. Very disaapointed with level of service. Arrived and the table was attended to promptly with wine service and after that service was essentially non existent. Had to get the attention of a waiter to order meals 45 minutes after arrival. Table was cleared and no one came back. Had to again catch the attention of another waiter to order a coffee. Have eaten here many times previously, but today was an overall disappointing experience due to very poor service.

Food was amazing and service was awesome. Perhaps you could move to a bigger venue? Will come again.

Dropped in for a quiet birthday lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed our light meal. A great place to catch up with friends, or 'see' family. Will hope to get back soon. LS.

We tried the Eggs Benedict $18.90, Avo De Light $23.90 and a Cappuccino $4.80.
Both dishes tasted nice. The Eggs Benedict was a little small and I was still hungry after eating it. Won’t recommend it if you are very hungry.
I enjoyed the cappuccino.
Good place to stop on the way back to Melbourne after a hike.

They charge 1.5% credit card surcharge. Heaps of free parking around.

Today’s special is yesterday’s leftovers. The special of the day was pulled pork focaccia, sliced pork is not pulled pork, generally this cafe is great for breakfast, but they are unable to serve the rest of the day. Been there many times before but won’t be going back, worst birthday ever.

We had a company party there few weeks ago. The place was great and everyone loved the food. Staff was very friendly.

Came for lunch. Nice little cafe, more like a bar/restaurant than a cafe with more meals than cafe type food. Toasties aren't n the menu but you can ask for them. Great service, clean. Plenty of parking opposite although it has a 2hr time limit.

Wouldn't even give half a star.

You had one bloody job.
No one in the history of man has ever grilled the cheese on top.
Add to that, burnt to a crisp.
Can't nail this?
I'm scared to order the $52 steak incase we get jerky.
