Mont Rouge Estate

This place looks lovely, but none of the staff were wearing masks so unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay.

5 due to the all round concept of this winery, brings about a nice change.

For us the star of the show was the ice cream, the chocolate is extremely aesthetic but unfortunately had no room left after 2 massive scoops of ice cream it’s so great seeing it all made there with quality ingredients.

Wasn’t a massive fan of the wines in general, but the tasting was good and we weren’t charged as we ate there and grabbed a bottle for lunch. The bbq was very tasty. Chicken meatballs the only let down as were dry, however the honey lamb sausage was incredible.

Nice stand up tasting with limited but quality wines, very nice Pinot noir. Bonus chocolate and ice-cream so a good choice for tasters with kids.

Nice food, great service, FANTASTIC wine. Then we see they have amazing chocolate and ice cream. We’ll certainly be coming back.

The place is nice, and very casual. The wine tasting is $5 which gets deducted if you buy a bottle or eat there. They cater vegetarian however, both the amount and the quality/style of the food can be improved. It took us over 1hr to be served 4 skewers of eggplant, 6 mushrooms, 2 small patties and 3 mini-mini salads (for 2 pax).

A truly lovely experience. The staff was so incredibly kind, welcoming, and informative. We had the bbq lunch which was fairly priced at $28/pp and they had an excellent veg option available. The wines were wonderful and after tasting and learning more about them, we walked away with 12 bottles. The addition of the chocolate/ice cream shop makes this winery even more unique and worth visiting. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

OMG, what a find. After a day of winery hopping, wish we had gone here first. Friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable hosts and just a lovely atmosphere. Delicious wines, the chocolates to die for, the hot chocolate amazing. Didn't try the ice cream but witnessed many satisfied customers. Will definitely be our go to winery next visit.

We enjoyed the summer bbq lunch today and everything about the setting, food, wine and service was excellent. The tranquil bush setting was relaxing as we listened to the bell birds while enjoying a glass of chilled pinot gris. The bbq lunch was superb - perfectly cooked and accompanied by several fresh and delicious salads. We couldn't resist the home-made mango and coconut ice-cream or the hazelnut chocolate ice-cream for dessert. This was our first experience at Mont Rouge and will definitely not be our last.

Absolutely incredible. All wines from the tasting are delicious which is rare. The food was so so so full of flavour. Specifically he beef cheeks were mind blowing and mash really put the cherry on top. Lovely staff as well. Will be back soon!

What a wonderful afternoon my family and myself had at Mont Rouge. Excellent food, wine, service and setting. We will definitely return.

Great wine, amazing BBQ, awesome chocolate and the most interesting flavours of icecream. It was a lovely afternoon out on the veranda with a glass sitting by the vines.

The friendliest staff, and the best barbecue I have had in a long time. Thank you Mont Rouge. PS The 2016 Pinot noir. Yum!

I cannot recommend this place more highly. The wine, chocolate and ice cream were all sensational.

We rocked up at 4pm on Good Friday just before closing. I would have totally understood if they just rushed the tasting to get us out of there. Instead, they were incredibly hospitable. Everybody that worked at that place were just so friendly and generous. Oh, and their wine is fantastic. Their pinot noir is my new favourite wine. And if that is not enough, they have great chocolate and icecream - which is great value as the servings are massive!

They are just everything you want in a winery: great service, friendly staff who are great for a yarn and excellent produce. Will be back.

2016 Pinot Noir is delicious - had lunch with six friends and enjoyed the gourmet bbq. There is a new chocolaterie (Cocoa Rouge) open on site as well, chocolate and handmade ice creams. Nice area to sit.

I have been here for lunch a couple of times and could not recommend more highly to anyone that enjoys great food, wine and service. It only gets better with the Chocolate Factory now open, serving the most incredible sweets.
